Hines Ward Held At Gunpoint
Note to self. If I ever report my mom's mini-van stolen and somehow get it back, be sure to call police and cancel report. Police this morning stopped a vehicle in which Dancing With The Stars competitor and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was a passenger. Apparently when police ran the plate it was reported stolen. Hines and the female driver were ordered out of the car at gunpoint and handcuffed. It turns out the woman had reported it stolen because of a mishap at a valet. You know, when they say they can't find the car. This generally happens when you have a nice car and people want to take it for a little spin but don't get back before you finish dinner. In this case though, the car was a Honda Civic, so when valets could not find it, the woman reported it stolen. The valets found it but the woman forgot to call the police. This could have turned out much, much worse.
Is Hines Ward still married? I know he was. If he is, then what he was doing at 2am with a woman could be much, much worse for him and his wife.
The same thing happened to me at a club in Hollywood where the valet claimed they couldn't find my Honda Accord. When I told them I had lowjack and would report the car stolen they some how found the location of the car but then said as if to clarify, that they couldn't find the keys.
ReplyDeleteAfter a very long ordeal I got my car back but never did get my keys back so I told them they had to replace my keys which were smart keys at $250 a pop. Took time but got the cash.
The Ward's have been separated for quite awhile now. The divorce may be completed, don't know. He's very private about his life.
ReplyDeleteI love me some Hines Ward!
ReplyDeleteI read at TMZ he was cool about it and did not go all "this is a racism thing" as some would. Pretty classy move on his part. Poor woman, I bet she feels pretty bad right now.
ReplyDeleteCheryl: That is so nuts! I would have been beyond pissed.
ReplyDeleteI drive a Honda Accord (her name is Jane Fonda). They are reportedly one of the top cars to boost, not really sure why though??
Who is that lazy to not cancel the report?? If the lady he was with was not his wife, then...Ooopsie!
MCH, it's because they're such a commonly owned car that the thieves can easily sell the parts.
