The Bristol Palin Face Controversy
It seems like the whole world is discussing whether Bristol Palin got herself some plastic surgery. It all started with Gawker posting some before and after photos and has kind of spread to everywhere now. You get that kind of spread on a day where there is not much going on in the world. When I look at the photos, all I see is someone who lost some weight, got some hair extensions and maybe some teeth whitening. I don't see the signs of plastic surgery. Her nose is the same. I think her smile is the same. Yes, her face is more angular, but mine is too if I don't eat for a few hours.
As much as I love a good conspiracy, I think she would have gone for something more than just some defining. Why not go for the whole thing if you are going under the knife. Some botox or lip injections? A new nose or breasts?
Oh, i really hope this appears on Knifestyles of the rich and famous, my favorite Star Magazine feature...
ReplyDeleteThat said - yeah, she looks like a completely different person. That usually means something has been nipped and tucked. I would not have recognized her at all.
is that a chin implant? It seriously could be, look at the difference between the photos.
ReplyDeletei believe she's had a chin implant. even with the weight loss, that chin looks new to me. the distance between her lower lip and the end of her chin is longer in the second picture.
ReplyDeletehaving said that, who gives a shit what this bitch does anyway?
She also lost that dent under her bottom lip. I'm gonna agree with the chin work.
ReplyDeleteThe smile is completely different. If they had a closed mouth smile picture to compare then maybe you could tell a bit better. Look in the mirror and smile with a closed mouth. Now look in the mirror and smile with teeth showing. The face shape changes. That being said her chin does look more distinctly pronounced than before.
ReplyDeleteeh, there's been some work. i am hopeful that she will not go any further.
ReplyDeleteChin implant for sure. It's an 'easy' surgery, many girls get it these days.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a chin implant and I think some fat sucked out of her jowls. See, kids? Becoming a single mother provides all sorts of income for unnecessary cosmetic surgery! /sarcasm
ReplyDeleteSomething happened with those bags under her eyes, definitely. And she bought teeth too, like Enty says. Wow - the chin implant. I wouldn't have guessed but you folks are right. Just wow! I guess we all could look like Kim Kardashian, couldn't we?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteAnd an eyelift. The skin is tighter, and her eyes are way bigger-looking. It's not the slight difference in facial expressions here that could cause THAT big a difference.
ReplyDeleteJMO, of course.
She's had work done.
ReplyDeleteWeight loss won't extend the jawline like that or give you a pointed chin.
Additionally, there are the laugh lines at the side of her mouth in the before pic and they're completely nonexistent in the after pic.
Eyes, nose, cheeks, chin. Still annoying.
ReplyDeleteHer teeth appear to have been fixed. Otherwise, I could be persuaded that the changes to the face are the changes that many late-teen girls go through as they starve away their healthy Rubenesque "extra pounds."
ReplyDeleteNo way - those are 2 different people.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't she look a little like a Kardashion sister now?
ReplyDeleteShe looks like an entirely different person in the second pic. Work has definitely been done.
ReplyDeleteEyes, lips, new chin, botox, lipo. She looks like she could be Aubrey O'Day's sister-cousin.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is the same person. The "after" shot shows a more pointed chin. I think her "before" chin is the one that most people aim for with surgery.
ReplyDeleteOh, hell yeah! She went under the knife, all right...no doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteShe's lost a lot of weight so it's exagerated. She was beautiful before.Yeah, she needed new teef, but I don't think much else was done, except for a chin adjustment. I just lost 40 pounds and my cheeks look really different, no surgery here either.
ReplyDeleteYeah, she definitely had work done. While her chin possibly could be by losing the baby fat... you don't just magically lose smile lines under your eyes.
ReplyDeleteBut it certainly appears that she had a few things nipped and tucked.
But Enty, most reputable plastic surgeons don't recommend going all out at once - only because you won't even remotely recognize the person in the mirror. The people from Extreme Makeover had a heck of a lot of therapy to deal with it. Besides, her breasts are pretty decent as is her nose.
What a ridiculous thing to do, though. She looked cute, and now she just looks like some generic starlet. Like a cross between a Kardashian and a Ashley Tisdale.
i think it's fucking sad if she did. the media and public were horrible to her during DWTS. This is what happens when the whole world hates your mother and love to poke at a single mom. Constantly being called fat over and over is a bitch for the confidence.
ReplyDeleteShe does look like Kim K, now. And the eyebrows are identical in the two photos, its her.
ReplyDeleteYup...Chin & Eyes, and maybe some laser work...she really looks better.
ReplyDeleteShe probably didn't have a facelift. I think that's Photoshop. Hee chin is much longer though.
ReplyDeleteOh, Biscuit Palin definitley had work done. Joan Rivers doesn't look this worked on. She's got a Reese Witherspoon chin now. You don't get that from weight loss.
ReplyDeleteBiscuit Palin has gone Hollywood.
She has a book coming out next month doesn't she? That explains all the work done.
ReplyDeleteI thought she was brunette Ashley Simpson for a second
ReplyDeleteWOW. Ok, if you look at the two pictures above, they don't even look like the same person....but the similarities are more noticeable in the Gawker photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced. That chin DEFINITELY looks more angular....
When I gain weight, in addition to everywhere it settles, I get fat in the face. I've had people look at my pictures from college and say that I look like a completely different person, (or say "Who is this?"). Feature wise, I look pretty much the same, just way fatter. :)
getting new teeth can change a lot in your face -- just look at befores and afters of Hilary Duff
ReplyDeleteMy face was shaped like Bristols my whole life. Now that I'm a little older and lost my baby weight it's not as round but it's still the same shape. The whole shape of her face changed. That doesn't happen without cosmetic assistance. I don't care if she lost 100 pounds, her chin would not be that defined.
ReplyDeleteThat's definitely a chin implant. Now she almost looks like Kim Kardashain.
ReplyDeleteChin implants. CHIN implants?
ReplyDeleteOh my GOD, what a weird world.
It's sad, too. I always thought Bristol was a pretty girl.
Whoever said she looks like Aubrey Day - exactly!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to figure out if the distance from her lower lip to the bottom of her chin is the same, and it might be, in which case she just had serious liposuction on her neck and jowls.
Guys, you're blind. The eyes/wrinkles/cheeks thing are all down to no professional make-up vs. professional make-up.
ReplyDeleteAs for the chin - I think it's the weight-loss, plus the closed mouth/open mouth smile. Since the difference is very pronounced, I might consider a chin implant... but I tend towards thinking it's the weight/make-up/smile thing.
I've had the opportunity to see women made up professionally more than a few times, and believe you me - the transformation can be much more extreme than this. You get very adapt at recognizing people with/without make-up....and the differences we see in these two photos are definitely within the scale you normally see for professional make-up work.
Which is not to say that she absolutely definitely didn't have work done - just that I see no reason to believe she did, based on these photos.
Doesn't even look like the same girl -- and btw she hasn't lost a pound if you saw the Gawker full-length photos. That alone is a flashing siren that it's plastic surgery.
ReplyDeleteJamie's Girl, Congratulations! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI get fixing teeth, but this girl is young & was pretty to begin with. What a sad & scary road she's in for to start off with such poor self esteem..
She didn't lose a pound. She bought a whole new face. She's still a heifer and she's still fugly. And just as stupid as her mother.
ReplyDeleteGotta sign on for Team Ms. Snarky. That chin came outta no where. I lost about 50 pounds between age 14 and 19 and where weight loss can explain some changes in a young woman's face .. but that chin just has got to be surgical. No amount of weight loss is gonna so that to your face.
ReplyDeleteCongrat's Jamie's Girl!! I have about 100 to lose and I just can't even seem to get started. : / Food is my last refuge .. well .. except maybe for CDAN!
She got new teeth. Look at Hillary Duff- new teeth changed her mouth structure- between that and the weight loss, Hilary, too, looked very different in the mouth/chin area- everyone accused her of getting a chin implant, too, and it's not true. Her chin just looks longer because she's giving us a full on new teeth smile.
ReplyDeleteAs for the dramatic change in Bristol- it's called professional makeup artist. She's wearing false lashes on top and bottom giving her the Kim K eye look and she's got HD makeup on. She looks incredible. It's amazing what a good makeup artist and some contouring can do.
No...she definitely had her chin done. There are other pics now out there showing her chin from side view, before and after. She actually looked better before...now she doesn't even look like herself. Her chin is enormous and funny looking from the side now. The implant is too big.

ReplyDeleteI think she's had a makeover, but not under the knife. Someone taught her how to pose.
ReplyDeleteIn the first picture, the camera is catching her nearly head-on. That view obscures chin angles and can make someone look more chubby. In addition, her expression looks natural, but uncomfortable.
In the second picture, she's tilted her head down, so that she can look up at the camera. That instantly makes a person's eyes look bigger and less wrinkled, and it highlights the angles of the person's cheekbones and their chin.
Even though I agree that she probably has extensions, tooth whitening, makeup and stylist help, it's the pose that's helping her more than anything else.
