Amy Winehouse headed back to rehab this week. I could of course do something cheesy and reference her song, but I get the feeling this trip to rehab is not as severe as others. I think she is going in for some problems with booze. I mean, on the way to rehab she drank down a bottle of booze. That to me shows she has a problem and if she is craving it that much going in, it will be tough for her when she gets back out. I think she has actually kicked most of the drugs she was taking. Her rep says that she is doing it to get her life in order for her upcoming summer tour. Of course this is the same rep who always denied Amy ever had a drug and booze problem, and when they did, made sure to mention that she was working on a new album. It seems like ages ago that she released Back To Black. It also goes to show you how long you can live a really good lifestyle when you have a hit record that you actually write yourself.
They tried to make me give a shit about Amy's 34457457475435th trip to rehab, and I said "NO, NO, NO."

ReplyDeleteAt least, unlike Lindsay, I get the feeling that Amy loathes her addictions and deeply struggles with them. Lindsay coasts through life on excuses and denial.
i don't get why nobody understands this: you can't say someone's 'better' because they've 'kicked MOST of the drugs' they were on, but now they're downing a bottle of vodka on the way to rehab. she's just switched drugs. alcohol IS a drug. however, i doubt she's kicked the other kinds of drugs either.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I've kicked cocaine but I eat the living HELL outta some junk food sometimes! Seriously. I crave *something* sometimes so badly that I must indulge. It's mostly near ovulation. Sometimes chocolate, sometimes a doughnut, sometimes just a coca-cola will do...but sometimes greasy nastiness like french fries with mayo! Blecchh, how gross, I cannot even believe it myself. But I don't touch the sniffy-sniff anymore so that's good.

ReplyDeleteShe really does look so much bettre than she did about 2-3 years ago although the videos I've seen of her performing lately have been very disappointing. I love both her albums and hope she lives to make another, but I cannot help but feel that maybe she thinks she needs all the drama, drugs, alcohol, and chaos in her life in order to be "creative." I do have respect though; the lady can write and sing a damn good song.
