THIS is comedy gold! Sadly? There's about 20 development execs at studios all over town watching this now going: "But wait - that could work! We could really do that!".
And it would be funnier than 80% of any comedies at the box office this year. Just this little parody trailer is 500 times funneir than the Arthur remake! It was painful - especially if you loved the original (as I did). I love Helen, but she could not save that bad idea from a stale, pandering script...or from Russell Brand. I wish they would have cast Steve Coogan as Arthur (and let him write it!).
You could never outdo the combination of Gielgud and Dudley Moore. No matter who you cast. It was perfection. But -- I would absolutely go see Grampires, lol
I'm plotzing. Seriously plotzing.
ReplyDeleteI loved it.
ReplyDeleteI knew it would be funny, but I didn't know it would be this funny!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteHaha! I'd watch it!
ReplyDeleteOMG...that was hysterical!!!! I was expecting it to be stupid...but LOVED it!!!
ReplyDeleteDitto to what crila16 said--I'm not normally a Funny or Die fan at all, so I didn't expect much. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised :)

ReplyDeleteMy God, Mike Tyson -- who'd a thunk, hilarious.
ReplyDelete@Himmmm: Just the idea of an Arthur remake is a bad one, let alone following through with Russell Brand in it.
ReplyDeleteHell, I might actually go see that at the theater if they did it.
