More Natalie Portman Body Double Drama
at this point I am wondering if Natalie Portman was actually in any movies over the past year or if they were all body doubles with her voice superimposed. Kind of like all those Kung-Fu movies way back in the day when the dubbing would never quite match. I understand the body double necessity for Black Swan. It was some tough dancing. I also believe the body double did way more than Natalie did, despite the claims to the contrary. What I have never really understood is having a body double for different parts of an actor's body. If you do not want to go topless or bottomless or show your leg because you think it looks funny, then don't. Why put someone in who you are pretending is you. When you get a performance from an actor it should be their performance. Part of their performance is what they can do with their body. If you don't want to show your body, I don't care, just don't pretend the body is yours if it is not. Natalie is in a new movie called Your Highness and apparently the half naked woman you see diving into a lake is not really Natalie Portman but someone else. Natalie did not want to do the scene. Wasn't this scene like a big deal in the previews? Now it turns out it was not even Natalie who did it.
