BuzzFoto Blind Item

This is an quirky sort of blind that we’ve been sitting on for a while, but why not? An A List actor in the 90′s was once told by a specialist hired as a joke by his friends that if he mixed crushed-up butterfinger candy bars with buttermilk and made it into a paste it would take away acne scars and blemishes. He put it on his face every day for a year until his friends finally confessed the joke.

  1. Ok, that's kind of funny and a good joke to play on a friend.

    My guess? ummm.... David Schwimmer?

  2. David Boreanaz had bad acne in the 90s when he started on Buffy. Is he A List?

  3. Ben & Jerry are going to make that into a flavor now.

Matthew Perry seems gullible enough to have done this.

  10. GEORGE CLOONEY once made his best pal RICHARD KIND display a ghastly discarded painting in his home for two years, after pretending he painted it himself. Hollywood prankster Clooney, who was best man at the former SPIN CITY star's 1999 wedding to DANA STANLEY, worked on the elaborate plan for 12 months, before putting his pal through the two-year embarrassment. He says, "I remember finding a painting that someone had thrown away. It was out by the garbage and I drove by it a few times. They were waiting for the trash collector to pick it up. It was this gigantic, awful painting. "I finally stopped and picked it up and took it home and signed my name to it and framed it. And for about a year, my buddy Richard would go, 'Hey, you want to play golf?' And I'd go, 'I can't. I've got art class.' And then on his 40th birthday I said, 'My art teacher's really proud of me but this (painting) is the first one we're both really proud of. You've been so supportive, I want you to have it.' "It hung over his couch for another two years and everyone knew except for him. So they would show up and go, 'That's an amazing painting!' and he'd be (confused)."

  12. Clooney is the king of practical jokes.

  13. My very first thought was Brad Pitt. He's a very pretty man with very unfortunate skin -- yet another reason why he reminds me of Baby Robert Redford.

  14. I'm thinking Edward James Olmos.

  15. Ida [and B626 and Timebob], my first thought was Brad Pitt, too. Kind of stretching to link them, but could this have been Clooney's "specialist" sent to help a friend?

OT -- I hadn't visited CDAN for over a week until last night when i caught up w/all the postings. Thank God, it's back to normal! I love the gossip, the snark, the caring and support found here. I can be a bitchy idiot so i [try to] keep my mouth shut when i think someone else has gone off the deep end. "Scroll, baby, scroll!" And some deep breathing are well worth all of the positive things i find here.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  16. Clooney also played another prank on Richard Kind. They were sharing an apartment and Richard had a kitten. George was being nice and cleaning out the litter box ever day. Once day Richard says to george that there's never any poop in the litter box and thought there must be something wrong with the kitten. Evil George decided not to tell him that he was cleaning the litter box. George kept cleaning the litter box for two more weeks, and then George, um, took a dump in the litter box and let Richard find it...

  18. As someone who's battled bad skin for her entire adult life, I think the Butterfinger prank is incredibly cruel, but I'm perplexed as to why an A-lister wouldn't just go find the best dermatologist out there and get the problem taken care of.

Clooney's litterbox prank, on the other hand, is one of the funniest things I've ever read (and I say this as the designated cleaner of my house's three boxes).

  19. I think that's mean too but at the same time, what idiot would believe that and DO it???

    The painting/litterbox stories are hilarious.

  21. I think one of the things that makes George Clooney so attractive to me is his sense of humor. This sounds like something he would do to Brad Pitt
