Beyonce A Christmas Grinch

Although Tyra Banks and her evil Christmas Grinchness is still at the top of my list, if this is true, Beyonce could be neck and neck with Tyra. Yesterday Beyonce was sued for $100M by a video game company and a lawyer who is a horrible speller. Remarkably, not me. The suit accuses Beyonce of being a diva and asking for additional money after she had already been paid a ton of dough. When the company balked at paying her more than they had already agreed to pay her and paid, Beyonce walked. When she did so, she caused the company to shut down weeks before Christmas and for 70 people to lose their jobs. Yes, that's right, while Beyonce sat on a yacht somewhere warm and sunny drinking $500 bottles of champagne, the 70 people she got laid off spent their time scouring food banks and hoping for donations of toys for their children. Oh, and probably had to get their Christmas tree at a lot after the owners went home and left all their not picked out trees scattered on the ground. Meanwhile, Beyonce laughed and laughed while shoving her mouth full with Christmas cake. OK, well maybe it was not that bad, but I will be interested to hear what she has to say about this.

  1. I don't understand how she was directly the cause of people getting fired? Seems to me that either she didn't get paid at all... Anyone?

  2. I forgot the other part.

Either she didn't get paid, or the company couldn't afford it. Either way, I do not get.

i'll wait for more evidence, since this blogger tends to grab the cat by the tail. it's likely those who ran this company caused their employees to get laid off.

  4. Ha ha. Dudes, Beyonce is known for being hardworking, talented, energetic, and beautiful. But she is NOT known for being NICE.

These stories never shock me for that very reason.

  5. If you hire a diva, expect the diva pricetag.

  6. I'm not sure what the connection is to the business closing but Ida is right, Beyonce is creating quite the rep for herself.

It sounds like they paid her, and then she wanted more and they didn't give it to her so she left without providing services and I guess that led to financial dis-ray?? It links to page six so I would take that with a grain of salt.

  7. I've heard she's not big on the "little people" but this sounds weird.

  8. Shakey, how many times do you have to pay a diva?

  9. my heart goes out to those families...but this business about beyoncé requesting more $ reeks of bs. contracts for performances/appearances tend to be standard and ironclad, there isn't normally wiggle room for surprises...in fact, even contingency plans have contingency plans, not to mention the legal paperwork to back them up. so yeah...not buying this. what she does on her off-time and how expensive the liquor she partakes of, etc. is irrelevant.

  10. I wonder what the contract looked like cause it would seem to me that she was paid to do something she never did. Wouldn't they get their money back in that instance? I DON'T GET IT!!!

  11. If Jay is her manager, shouldn't he be blamed for this? Seriously, what else could she do if this was his advice!

  12. wasn't she the one that kept a crew waiting for 12 hours until she decided to show up for a video shoot?

total diva and I don't even think she is that great of singer

Jay-Z isn't her manager. Her father was up until a month or two ago. I heard about this on the news this morning. The way they described it was Beyonce was hired to create a dance game but she never followed through and as a result the company had to close and people lost their jobs.

I think she is becoming worse than a Diva at this point. It is amazing how these "stars" forget where they came from.

  15. I need more details...how much was the original compensation package for? What were her new demands? Was this the company's only product?? Seems nuts they went belly up just over this one deal.

Starpower: Beyonce is a terrible name.

    I really like her bikini.

  16. While it was an unfortunate thing to happen at Christmas time I doubt she intentionally did it to ruin Christmas for these people.

It was a business deal gone bad, happens ALL the time.

  17. lol "lawyer who is a horrible speller".
Agree with Ida. I think Beyonce is an incredible talent, but she will (and has) sung for ruthless dictators if the price is right.

  18. It doesn't matter if the contract was water tight. Beyonce has tens of millions of dollars. She walked, figured they would sue her, she would pay back the money (after earning interest on it having had it in the bank this whole time), and would go on drinking her champagne. Of course, the company may no longer have enough money to sue her. I hate dirtbags. We had renos 7 years ago that weren't great, but we couldn't afford to go to court to have things fixed. It happens all the time.

  19. I am so fucking sick of hearing about the adjective DIVA being applied toward women (and sometimes men) to excuse or condone them being absolute filth to people in lesser power. Maybe its taking a holocaust and genocide class this semester, maybe its doing an anthropology lab where i studied evoultionary beings, maybe its just being a fucking human but I cannot stand the idea that anyone thinks they are put here to be better than or are worth more than any other person. This is why I get so apathetic with our world- this single woman has so much power and money she could change and help whole communities but instead she glutonously demands MORE. Fuck this bitch.

  20. Jay-z's company Roc Nation is about to manage Beywolf!

I cannot stand her she is someone else that should go away in a closet and throw out the key.

This marriage is also a facade. Have you not seen the pictures where they stage their photo ops? they are only pictured when Beyonce becomes irrelevant OR they are trying to prove their marriage.

When are people going to understand that Jigga man got an ole lady on her island with his boo boo?

Beywolf is knockin boots with her security guard!

  21. flwrgurl, I don't know about that - the huge boner TMZ caught on tape when he was out dining with her looked pretty authentic to me, LOL.

I seriously think that the love between Jay Z and Beyonce is authentic. Jay Z is ugly than hell and won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.

I also didn't know that Bey is responsible for the suffering of the world.

I think these two are for real, too.

*stands on chair and enthusiastically claps for Jasmine*

REALLY, the word "diva" refers to an accomplished female opera singer. Despite Beyonce's proclamations, a diva is NOT "the female version of a hustler." Maria Callas is a diva. Effing J-Lo is NOT. Beyonce is NOT.
