Zach G Hires An Assistant

  1. This is funny?

Someone either needs to A) beg Tina Fey to come back to SNL, or B) just euthanize that ailing junkshow and put it out of its misery.

  2. I did have a chuckle at this actually...*L* But I just WOULD, you know. His opening number, however, was FANTASTIC.

  3. Zach's opening monologue was fabulous! Not as good as his first time, but that was material from his stand-up routine I believe. I love him. He and I are :::eye to eye::: SNL on the other hand is so hit or miss, I end up fast fwding through a lot of it to be honest. I adore Bill Hader, just seeing him makes me happy.

  4. That was funny! I always liked the comedy genre of "adulst treating kids like adults".
    And fart jokes.

  5. Okay, okay. I like fart jokes, too. Sheesh.

And I DO love Andy's digital shorts. I still sing "Jizz in my Pants" from time to time, and Natalie Portman's rap made me a fan for life.

  6. I always tape SNL because I figure I'll be fast forwarding through most of the skits, definitely through the musical guests, and sometimes just delete the whole thing if the guest host is lame.

I thought the only two funny bits last week were Zach's monologue and this bit.

    The rest .... meh.

  7. I loved the opening monologue. So, so, so weird! Although I'd say the song part wasn't quite as funny as the first part. Bookended nicely with the closing in which he laments shaving his hair into a mohawk for a Mr. T sketch they "weren't able to get to."

I also liked the brief appearance of Boston Powers. It was nice to see Seth out from behind the desk.

  8. Well, that was actually worth my time. Pretty much all I like on SNL lately is the opening sketch, the monologue & Seth.

I was more intrigued by the commercial beforehand -- Peter Krause is now doing voice overs for AT&T?

  9. Bill Hader is probably my favourite one on there now. And Kristen Wiig. But Bill Hader is the one that is guaranteed to bring at least one good laugh each episode, even if the rest of it sucks. Stefon is one of my all time favourite characters.

  10. My favorite Stefon moment...
Stefon: "This place has everything... Furkels..."
Seth: "Oh, do I want to know? So Furkels are...?"
Stefon: "Fat Urkels. After you've been with one of those guys, you'll ask yourself, 'Did I do that?' "

I forget that Bill's Charlie Sheen was better this week. More crazied up than the last time.

  11. I thought this was cute. The little kids did a good job. The opening was good too. I think I made it thru news update and then floated off...

  12. I thought Zack's lines & delivery were good; almost like he had influence on what he was saying (outside of the monologue, which was definitely his stand-up). The good part was that this elevated the show; the bad part was that it only elevated it for short spurts and the rest of the time showcased how horrible the rest of the dialogue was.

LOVE Bill Hader & wished that they had brought back Stefon to showcase places to go for St. Patrick's day. Bill, the digital short & occasionally the Jason Sudeikis stuff is the only reason I tune in.

  13. I used to watch SNL when it first hit the network. It has never been that funny again. It has it's moments, but no. Just no.

The red headed kid was my fav.
