No Progress In Lindsay Lohan Theft Case

Lindsay Lohan's case was back before a judge this morning. Lindsay was granted a continuance to March 25, to decide whether or not to take the plea deal which would involve Lindsay probably sentenced to 3 months in jail. I think she should take the plea. On March 25, Lindsay is going to jail. She violated her probation and will be spending some time behind bars so she might as well just take the plea deal and get all of her jail time over and done with for good.

If Lindsay goes to trial, I think there is a good chance she would win. However, she will probably have to stay in jail while awaiting trial anyway. Plus, she will spend a good deal of whatever money she has left defending herself. If she just goes to jail, she will probably be out in a month and can sell an interview to make some money so it would be a win win for her. She is an actress so a criminal record is not that big of a deal for her future career. If she blows through $100K fighting the charges, no one will really want an interview with her if she is acquitted so she will be $100K in the hole. If she pleads guilty, goes to jail, spends no more money defending herself and gets an interview when she gets out, this could actually end up making her money. Take the deal Lindsay and go to jail.

  1. Oh but if she takes the deal, pleads guilty and ends up with a record there is no more international travel. That means that any of us, at any time, can get away from the madness. Canada comes out a big winner! And everywhere else too.

Just too funny with the judge suggesting that sources leaking information should go work for the CIA! White Oprah does NOT work! Ever!!

I'm sorry, I couldn't read any further than that because my eyes welled up with tears from laughing so hard.

  3. That's way too logical.

  4. If she pleaded guilty it would mean she takes personal responsibility for her crime, and I just don’t think she has it in her to do so.

  5. I really can't remember -- how did she violate probation again?

Also, she hit the gift suites at the Oscars really hard, per the tabs. Does she sell all this stuff? Is that how she's getting by?

  6. Hmmm. Well, I hope she's progressing well in her Japanese studies...

The sad thing is how much goodwill she squandered. This was once a girl who had Meryl, Tina, Lorne, and Robert Altman vehemently defending her talent, and now Paris fucking Hilton makes her look dignified.

She'll NEVER go to jail. We all have to live in the now, face reality, etc.

  7. Weezy, by stealing - the burden of proof for a probation violation is much lower than it would be at a trial.

  8. @_-_=_ - White Oprah works damn hard filing lawsuits against people who besmirch her baby and making calls to the tabs! lol

  11. @nancer - She's either got a fairy godmother or actual functioning ruby/silver slippers. It's the ONLY explanation, because even Satan said he doesn't want anything to do with her.

  13. Dunno if this was already posted here on CDAN, but the jewelry store LiLo "borrowed" the necklace from is acting pretty sleazy trying to cash in on the publicity. They announced that they are auctioning off the purloined item with the proceeds going to a yet to be named charity.

    Ugh.
