Miley Cyrus Trashes Rebecca Black And Justin Bieber

Talk about calling the kettle black. Miley Cyrus gave an interview to the Australia Daily Telegraph and in the interview was asked about Rebecca Black. Rebecca is of course the brand new millionaire who has the awful song Friday. "It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go on tour." Umm, an artist? Did Miley Cyrus just call herself an artists? Is talking about her craft next? Also, didn't Justin Bieber put himself on YouTube and then got himself a record deal and went on tour because of that?

For the record let us reflect how Miley became and artist. Hard work? Making tons of demo records while scratching out a living as a waitress at Denny's?

How about getting daddy to talk to his record and television friends. Yeah, much, much harder to become an artist that way.

  1. If this turns into a Cyrus v. Bieber brawl...I can't believe I'm about to say this...I am on Team Bieber.

At least he's not a trashy whore and is grateful for his tweener induced period of fame.

  2. Again it looks like Billy Ray snuck into the pic. What is the deal with that?

  3. Family unity.
Betcha there's some sort of morality clause in a contract the Rat has - and doesn't Billy Ray or the mom have plans for the younger daughter as well?
And Ms Cyrus best put down the bong, as it takes more than Daddy's connections to make you an artist - see Tori Spelling.

  5. I totally agree she is making the most delusional ironic statement ever here but....
    she is still right
Rebecca Black, when put on stage recently on some morning talk show, could barely perform she was that untrained and worse of all I couldnt even hear her voice! There was that much studio background influence in the song.

  6. And I used to passingly at least be able to graze through Perez's site but he is all over this Rebecca Black thing, calling her a genius and cooing about her other songs. And for the record, I have heard Beiber perform at awards shows and blahhh, I'm NOT impressed.
He is like a solo act of New Kids on the Block to me. I thought this whole manufactured boy bandish thing went out with Backstreet Boys and Spears, guess it will never end lolol

  7. Hahahaha! Oh Miley, you are SO COMPLETELY LACKING IN SELF AWARENESS. Yeah, cause scoring a job through your father's celebrity for Achy Breaky Heart is SO MUCH BETTER AND LEGIT. STFU. I know she's still young, but I really can't stand this girl.

  9. Miley needs better management. I can't believe the crap that comes out of her mouth.

  10. I cannot wait until the second coming of rock to wash away all this prepackaged teenybopper shit.

A friend of mine did light/sound for the Miley/Hannah Best of Both Worlds Tour. He said Billy Ray's actually pretty chill, Tish is annoying, Miley was never around and Noah is The Bad Seed incarnate.

  11. Now I need to go watch Josie & the Pussycats again. I love that people are building musical careers on YouTube. It's a big F-you to the corrupt music industry.

  12. Isn't there a teenage boy in the Cyrus family, Brason? Why isn't he ever around when the paps track down the Cyrus family? Or, does he chose to opt out of these planned photo ops?

  13. "It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go on tour."

Yes, you should have to put on a wig and pretend that everyone who sees you thinks you are someone else. Plus, you should fart in the general direction of the company who 'made' you (in this case, Disney). As a caveat, post cell phone pics in your undies while making duck-pursed lips at the camera, drink in front of the paps while under-aged and ensure that someone snaps photos of you either (a) with a bong or (b) lapdancing some stranger.

    Then-and only then-you, too, can be like Miley Cyrus - SOOOPAH-STAHHHH! {jazz hands}

  14. @Simone- lol, u must be around my age then, if your going to see them.
Actually my first concert was NKOTB which ages me a little now that i think about it :D
One of my little age games I play with the fetuses (my name for the young underclassman) I go to university with is the simple question ' do u know who NKOTB are or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?' and if they say no i shudder inside a little cause they were obviously born in the 90's and educated em on the cool shit from back then. (side note: it still is so trippy to me that seemingly grown kids who go to college and look adult were born in the 90s which seems like only a few yrs ago to me) lolol, end mini rant

  15. btw, let us know how the concert is Simone- if it was a Bobby Brown/Boyz to Men reunion maybe... but 98degrees and Jessica Simpson are still too fresh for me to revist that kind of music :P

  16. More often than not, children of privilege have no sense of reality--especially if one or both parents is a celebrity. Miley probably does think she's a serious artist, I'm sure her parents have been telling her she's a genius and cooing over her every burp and fart since she was born. Still, it's a pretty cunty thing for her to say.

Jasmine - I have seen both groups in concert in the recent past and honey, those baby Bieber fans have nothing on the NKOTB/BSB fans when it comes to bringing the crazy, even with the extra mileage on our chassis. I am strangely proud of that fact, too.

An occasional meal of cheesy nostalgia is not a bad thing.

    *high fives Jasmine*

  18. Hahah @Sue Ellen, he DID photo bomb again... Tish looks like she just discovered that he is sneaking up behind them

  19. Why does everyone always jump on Billy Ray Cyrus's music career.
They seem to forget that he was acting long before Hannah Montana came along. He had his own series that ran for 5 seasons. He has also been in several movies, tv shows/movies.
The tv show Doc is how Miley came to the attention of Disney as she was always around the set visiting her dad.

  20. More disturbing than Miley's inane babblings is the comment that Rebecca Black made a million dollars from Friday. Did she really??

Excuse me while I go shoot myself.

  21. @Snowowl - but she still got the job through her dad, right?
