A Lindsay Lohan Movie That Made Money
Apparently not all is lost in the career of Lindsay Lohan. She has actually made a movie that generated a profit. The thing is, the movie will not even really be seen until tonight and it has already made that profit. What movie? The surveillance tape of her allegedly stealing a necklace. The "victim" in the case sold the tape for $35K to Entertainment Tonight. Considering that Lindsay allegedly stole something worth $2500, then the store made quite the profit off the little movie. I guess you would call it a short. Oh, and silent. When is the last time a silent movie made $35K? Probably some sex tape.
Of course the store selling the tape has kind of screwed the prosecutors and their case, but it was not the best case to begin with. The best part about all of this is the store insists they did not sell the tape for publicity or to make a profit. Uh huh. Then why didn't they give the tape away? Yeah, that is what I thought.
So once again LL gets away with murder?? Damn this girl has more chances than anyone in history
ReplyDeleteThey said they sold the tape because Lindsey cost them business....hahahahahah....they probably have more recognition now than ever before they started selling crappy necklaces for $2,500.00!
ReplyDeleteSo ET is now paying for LL videos. Wow they are just as bad as the other crazy entertainment shows ... money makes people crazy, I mean batshit crazy. Congrats LL for getting off this one too.
ReplyDeleteBTW-I hope you mention Miley's gig on SNL this weekend. I thought she did great, particularly her monologue where she sang I'm Not Perfect. Hilarious! And you have to admit. She' not Charlie, Lindsey, et al....yet. Never gotten a DUI or been arrested. Yet.
ReplyDeleteSo we have ET to blame for LocoLohan getting off this time? Done.
ReplyDeleteThey will have donated all the profits to charity in 3.....2......
ReplyDeleteAh shit ! I was hoping she'll go to jail again...
ReplyDeleteI'm now not entirely convinced that Lindsay and the store are not in collusion.
ReplyDeleteRemember how that Better Ford staffer changed her tune and it was revealed she and Lindsay made a deal for the staffer to collect some money on photos together until Lindsay's people killed it?
I wouldn't be surprised if they are getting the case killed on purpose, and then a month or so once Lindsay is acquitted, she will just happen to show up at the store - with paparazzi informed in
advance, of course.
i don't know why you say the case was weak. the fact that she was photographed a week after the incident wearing a necklace she KNEW wasn't hers proves the state's case to me.
ReplyDeleteno store just says 'here, take it. keep it as long as you want'. they keep records when they loan something out.
the case sucks NOW, because of the store owner's greed. and as usual, nothing will happen to this bitch.
did anyone really believe it would?

ReplyDeleteI'm with Cecilia. I think the store & Lindsay split the profit. I think LL somehow convinced the store to want to drop the charges but thought it would again look suspicious that yet another person/entity dropped charges against her ... what better way to get them dropped than to "innocently" sabotage the case?
ReplyDeleteLiLo is Teflon. Nothing sticks to her.
ReplyDeleteThis is just as bad as the coke falling out lilos pants and the cops screwing up the evidence and couldn't be admitted.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm not a lover of the Lohan but I don't see why she should go to jail for anything she's done so far. Some ordinary middle class suburban girl would get probation, so why not Lindsay? She's not a threat to anyone except herself.
ReplyDeletelooserdude, wouldn't she go to jail for theft if she's already been in the penal system? Even if it was for 15 minutes?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't this video prove the prosecution's case?
@looserdude - If ANY of us did the stuff that LiLo did...we'd be up shit's creek without a paddle. That's what's so fucked up about all of this. I'm a defender of LiLo...and even I have to say that homegirl either has a fairy godmother, reality warping powers or a pair of actual working ruby slippers...because she's gotten more chances than 90% of America. And you know this. If any ordinary girl jacked a $2500 necklace from a jewelry store, they'd be in jail. And don't even get me started on the substance shit. I got popped for a erroneous DUI almost two years ago and I've dumped more money than I care to mention into proving my innocence...yet there could be a thousand video tapes of LiLo gulping down grain alcohol while mainlining a speedball & driving down the wrong side of the 101 at 115mph and she still would get 10 hours of community service. And a $40 gift certificate for a mani/pedi. And a free pair of Jimmy Choo sandals.
ReplyDeleteGood job, jewelry store owners.
