Felicia "Snoop" Pearson Arrested In Drug Raid

Felicia "Snoop" Pearson was an actress on the hit show The Wire. I really miss that show. I need to go back and watch them all again. Anyway, on the show she played someone who had the same name which I always find easier to remember and also saves a fan the embarrassing problem of trying to remember someone's real name when they run into an actor or actress somewhere. "Hey, umm, Urkel. What? That isn't your real name?" Anyway, Snoop, who has had many run ins with the law in the past including a conviction of second degree murder when she was 14, was arrested with 60 other people in a massive drug raid. Police would not say what the actress was charged with, but I am guessing since it was a drug raid and conducted by DEA agents that she will probably be facing drug charges. I know, I know, I am quite the soothsayer. I have always wanted to use that word in a sentence.

  2. So she's 31. Shouldn't she still be in jail for second degree murder??? It's way past time for violent offenders to be kept off the streets so the rest of us are safe. Even in Baltimore!

  3. Snoop! The Wire! Ah, I miss that show too, Enty. It's the only show I actually miss on a nearly weekly basis.
I really need to buy it.
Anyone else remember the episode where Snoop bought a high-powered nail gun?

@Ali - yes, I had trouble when I first logged on - ads blocking the content? Refreshed and it's better now.

  5. (The only way I could get to the site at all is through annoying Internet Explorer.)

  7. When I look at her I always think of that scene,

    "How my hair look, Mike?"

    "You look good, girl."

  9. this is very sad to me. 'the wire' is my favorite show of all time---it's so much more than a TV show. anyone who hasn't watched it should buy it and do so immediately.

  14. Just watched all of The Wire last year for the first time. The best series ever. I feel a marathon coming on. That is really sad news about Snoop.

  15. Boyfriend and I just rented the first episode of The Wire. Is it a Canadian production?

  16. I wanna say that the show was shot on location in Baltimore.

A poor, unwise decision is all I have to say about this.

  17. all shot on location in Baltimore. Snoop was cast after she met Michael K.Williams (aka omar aka the best television character ever) in a club.

  18. Huh. I just automatically assumed it was a Canadian production based on the cheese level. No offense to anyone.

I might have to check this show out. Hopefully I can get it through Netflixs.

  21. If you are new to the show, I highly recommend watching it with Closed Caption on -- the dialect and accents are heavy and there's not a lot of exposition. I hate missing even a word.

  22. I didn't believe that hype on this show and rolled my eyes every time our local TV reviewer went wild about this show. West Baltimore drug dealers and foul mouthed cops? Oh, please. Like I'd want to watch that in my spare time.

But, I listened to a friend and gave season one a try in January on Netflix. Boy, was I wrong. Such a great show! I'm so engrossed with the characters, I'm even dreaming about them. Just finished season four and about to start season five. Watch this show! It's making my top five list and I'm not even done yet.

  23. can someone please explain the DEA agent's hair situation? It looks like he has ring around the balding? I'm fascinated . Thanks

  24. @Dianne - I know what you mean. The first season I barely understood half the stuff that was being said. By the second season it was no problem. It was kinda like learning a different language. Or being able to actually READ Clockwork Orange halfway through.

  25. @Sue Ellen Mishkey - It's not a Canadian production; I believe it was all shot on location in West Baltimore. And the story builds (and builds and builds)--one should keep watching it, preferably as many episodes in one sitting as possible. After awhile the characters and story totally take over; it's like a weird kind of alchemy.

  26. She of all people should've known to arrive an hour early to stake out the scene.

  27. Huh... I'm a bit surprised by this because I thought she was died a few years back. I guess I was wrong.

  28. Sad - I've seen her on talk shows talking about being in a gang, being busted, being in prison, getting and staying clean. Guess the story is going to change a bit. Bummer.
