Apparently there are way too many people with way too much time on their hands. Wonder Woman recently started filming here in LA and as soon as the Justice League nerds got wind of what she was wearing, they turned to the message boards of the world and began to whine. Well, that whining paid off because suddenly a few days later, Wonder Woman showed up in exactly what they wanted her to be wearing and the world was at peace. Just until the invisible plane shows up. How can you complain about that though because you can't see it right? Below is the appropriate costume as judged by Geeks R Us.
This looks just AWFUL. I give it three episodes.
ReplyDeleteEnty - please please give us a post on Lindsay being trashed on the sidewalk outside a club last night. I want to know if she's being tested regularly or what?
Make fun all you want Enty but that was a (shockingly) good decision by the powers that be. You don't piss off your target audience right out of the box. Give them what they want and they will give you ratings. Unless of course it sucks. *shrug* I'm not into WW so I'll be blissfully unaware either way.
ReplyDeleteThis Looks worse than awful...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes please some more shots of Lindsay hugging the sidewalk....that girl simply never learns....
The outfit that was revealed last week looked better. Modern and sexy. This one looks like cheap early 80's "Last American Hero" shlock.
ReplyDeleteThe geek-boys are NOT always right. In fact they ruin more then they help.
At Halloween a few years ago, I took my niece to Disney World because they were having trick-or-treating. She was dressed as Wonder Woman.
ReplyDeleteAfter the third time some random fan boy came up and told us her headband was on wrong (the star was upside down) we realized how seriously people take their super heroes.
I had wonder woman underoos.
ReplyDeleteThe first version of the costume looked like something a porn star would wear. This is at least an improvement, especially the boots being the correct color. But now everyone is waiting for her boobs to pop out of that corset top.
ReplyDeleteJacksparrow - "The first version of the costume looked like something a porn star would wear."
ReplyDeleteYou say that as if it's a bad thing.
No kidding Simone. A few Thanksgivings ago I spent it at a friend's house who was a HUGE Iron Man fan. He even had an Iron Man coffee table. Of course that was what was on TV all day. Lo and behold another friend attended who was all about Batman. At some point (too much cheer I guess) Someone (okay yeah, it was me) asked who would win in a fight, Batman or Iron Man. Their argument almost turned into fisticuffs. It lasted over 2 hours. Kid you not.
ReplyDeleteThese were men in their 30's.
This still does not look like Wonder Woman's costume. She did not where tights, but some bathing suit contraption with high heels. This show is going to fail on so many levels AND this chick is a midget! Wonder Woman was/is an Amazon. Lynda Carter was/is almost six feet tall.
ReplyDeleteThe first costume had blue boots with heels. I'm not sure how she would have been able to run around in them. This one has red boots that are flat and looks more like the original costume. And the pants are less shiny.
ReplyDeleteI find it pretty funny when a gossip blogger comments about people with too much time on their hands. That's what my non-gossip oriented friends think about people who read blogs like CDAN. I hate the new Enty.
Linda Carter is the best. Costume and everything. They should just use that one.
ReplyDeleteThis TV show reminds me of the remake of Bionic woman and No Ordinary Hero. I'll give it 1 season or less, unless it has a first season Hero's type storyline.
I think the whole idea is horrible too, but Henriette Adrienne is 5" 11" tall. If the 1st season actually makes it to a second, I imagine they'll throw some money at it.
ReplyDeleteSo she is actually going to have blue tights? Or are they removing them in post production?
ReplyDeleteShe is 5'11? She sure doesn't look that tall.
ReplyDeleteDisclaimer: I gladly confess to being a "fanboy".
ReplyDeleteThat being said, there's no freaking way those tights will remain - and if they do, the show's toast.
Even with all the costume redesigns that the WW comics went through over the years, they never went so far as to try and deliberately desexualize WW like they're apparently attempting now.
Keep those tights and they'll be lucky to make 3 shows.
