Daniel Craig In Drag

Last night as I was trying to sleep, I watched Daniel Craig in Road To Perdition. This morning I wake up and see Daniel Craig in drag. Quite the polar opposites. Daniel filmed this spot for EQUALS, which is a campaign run by Annie Lennox in support of International Women's Day which is tomorrow. A great cause and Daniel must agree to do this.

  5. A good response to the anti-feminists!

Sounds like Judi Dench doing the voice-over.

  7. I thought the message was great, Dame Judi narrated and kudos to Daniel for doing this. We have come so far, but still have so much farther to go.

  8. Not many men would have done this :) Way to go, Craig!

  9. It's also interesting that Daniel Craig did this, too because The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has the same messages.

I don't know if we can ever be equal to men as a whole. Individually yes, but as a whole - I really don't hold out much hope.

  10. @shakey:
The problem is that misogyny is so deeply rooted within our society that people, and most unfortunately women, have started to take it as a normality. You can see it everywhere. Even on this blog where women find it totally normal to call other women bitches, sluts and cunts and mock other women for complaining about it. It's the same kind of chauvinistic tactic men have used for centuries to muzzle women.

I think that women behave that way because they'd rather be 'in on the joke' and laugh with the 'dudes' about dumb sluts and cunts than be the 'party poopers', the 'bitter hags', the 'humorless bitches' i. e. the ones who are being made fun of.
I have to say that, sadly, we women are our own worst enemies.
There won't be any equality until this changes.

  11. @Mina...ITA...

I was listening to public radio and one of the hosts had on a woman who wrote a booked called: Manning Up: How the Rise of Women has Turned Men into Boys...she cited several Hollywood movie stars who epitomize this like Adam Sandler, Owen Wilson, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell and the list goes on.

So sad that as women get stronger men become weaker...

  14. Brilliant commercial. Simple and powerful.

I am currently dealing with an @sshole man at my work who treats all the women like 5 year olds. He told me Friday that I don't "respect" him, because I cut him off (nicely) when he tried to lecture me. He thinks all women are good for is gabbing and wasting time. If you saw the work we have to do (we're grossly understaffed), you'd find it odd how a man who's supposed to be the comptroller finds it hard to understand why we should get overtime for finishing the work when it needs to be done. Sometimes I think he'd love to have a whip and flick it at us like some Civil War slaveowner. Idiot.

  15. Wow....I can't believe how good he looked in drag....he's a rugged guy, never would have thought it...

Oh and might I add he is yummy...

  16. That took some very big cajones to do this. He made a very passable woman.

TIP FOR MR. CRAIG: Next time wear a slightly darker lip stick.

I did think it funny that M is doing this with BOND because Bond is such a misogynistic genera. GO THEM!
