Dancing With The Stars Would Love To Have Chris Brown

Not only has ABC decided not to press charges against Chris Brown but to show they really do love him and think this is perfectly normal behavior, they are still inviting him to perform on DWTS. Now, if you are Chris Brown, you smashed a window, threw a tantrum and exploded, and what happens to you? Absolutely nothing. So, why on earth should you stop such behavior? If you or I did what he had done, we would still be looking at the inside of a jail cell. ABC should be ashamed of themselves. Not only are they condoning his actions by their reaction, but by letting him on DWTS, they are rewarding his actions.

  1. So glad I don't watch this show. I certainly won't ever start now.

  2. Uhh, I wouldn't want to be his partner.

  3. That is a fairly obvious assessment there, Ent.

    No kidding.

  4. this is fucking ridiculous.

This thug belongs in jail, not performing on television.

  5. The guy already can dance. Not fair.

Oh, also? He's an asshole who almost killed someone and has no concept of remorse, shame, discretion, or self control. What dancer would agree to partner with him?

  6. I think he is just performing, right, not being a contestant.

Either way, shame on ABC. For real.

  7. I just hope the court of public opinion prevails and this album tanks just like his last one did.

Wow. I have about the same judgment for ABC now that I have for CB. Which means I don't want to support either in any way.
And BTW, isn't ABC owned by Disney? This is a horrible message to be sending to children and families.
Everyone deserves a second chance, but this guy is way beyond that. Just imagine what he's like when there are no reporters around...

  9. He's the performer on Tuesday's results show.

Blech!!! I was holding out hope that DWTS would cancel his performance.

He has the creepy look in his eyes like the Joran Van der Sloot tool.

Maybe advertisers will pull out. ... Who am I kidding? This will probably be a rating monopoly.

  10. I can't even believe we're having this discussion! ABC should say NO plain and simple, they should not support this guy and his behavior. It's a no brainer!

  11. But think of all those viewers who will watch the show just to see him, and all the sponsors who'll want to buy ads for just that reason.

So who is paying for the broken window?

  13. Glad I no longer watch broadcast TV...what a hell hole.

  14. And to add to the publicity train, apparently Robin Roberts said this morning that they'd love to have him back! Seriously?

I just don't get the concept of rewarding bad behavior. Sadly, we see this over and over again. Lindsay, Charlie, now Chris.

  15. Hey - I sent an email to ABC to protest - suggest you all do the same - I will NEVER watch this pig who beats women do anything - nor will he ever get a dime of my money. He is a total LOSER

    ReplyDelete
  16. For the love of God, do not make his pic the last one of the day, Enty! Leave us with a winner, not a loser. (Better yet, 3 sets of photos and a good blind, but I'll not be choosy!)

  17. Well, I guess I got this one wrong. I said yesterday that I thought ABC would can the appearance. I'm shocked and disappointed that Robin Roberts said that she wants him back on GMA.

I don't know if Disney owns all of ABC, but it does own the L.A. affiliate because I hear all the time during the news that Disney is the parent company of ABC channel 7.

  18. The ONLY reason they could possibly want him on is for ratings but that's a pretty poor reason. His only claim to fame is beating someone, his music is terrible and he can barely hold a conversation. Meanwhile there are so many hard working people out there who can barely keep up with the bills, another example of life not being fair :(

  19. Wouldn't it be awesome if the dancers and contestants just refused to dance that night? Just went out, couple after couple, and just sat down on the dancefloor. "We're not dancing until you send the abuser home".

    I can dream, can't I?

  20. Well? CBS is hiring Charlie Sheen back, so what's the difference?

I was a dyed-in-the-wool DWTS fan for the entire run, but now...I have refused to watch this season so far, and that was BEFORE I read this info!

So fuck 'em. And fuck TV.

    Maja - would be great.

  22. Typical. Money over sense. Form over function.

  23. Well crap, I was hoping I could just sit back and enjoy it for once. Now I probably won't watch it this season because of him being on it. That is not what I want to support.

  24. Why is ABC kissing Chris Brown's ass like this? Are his parents entertainment executives? (That would explain a lot to me, actually.) There is no scenario I can think of that explains this.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did you guys read what his mom wrote on twitter?

No wonder he is f-d up, with that kind of parents. Enabled and excused every step of the way.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I sent ABC an email protesting, not that it will do much good :(

So they will lose a viewer (me) and yeah, it doesn't matter to them because the almighty dollar matters more. But my refusing to watch and not letting my 5 year old watch that self-centered woman-beater will make me feel better about my principles, and that's what is important at the end of the day. Not some television show.

Ashamed and Amazed GMA let him off the hook and invited him back. Could have sent the scum to jail and took the low road instead. ABC owned Disney has LOST THEIR EVER LOVING MINDS by having him on DWTS. If I was one of the women on the show competing, I would through a absolute fit. Disgusting. His Mother was supposedly the victim of domestic violence! She should be so proud!!!!

  32. I saw the interview with robin roberts, and she looked scared just interviewing him.

  33. For the people saying Chris Brown should be in jail should take pause. None of them will mention Rihanna. Even though she called the cops, she never pressed charges and refused to testify against him despite everything he did to her. Rihanna knowing put her career in front of everything else, so the harm Chris Brown will eventually end up doing to someone else. Because her people saw the marketing angle behind, Rihanna is didn’t do the right thing, so when Chris brown eventually kills someone, kills himself, or both we will have her, her people, and our nations homophobia to thank.

has it been proven that he INDEED smashed a window? or are we still operating off of rumors?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Again with the enabling of bad behavior. What is wrong with people??? Perfectly normal behavior? I think the people at ABC need some serious therapy if they think his behavior is normal...and why are they sucking up to this loser? Enough with the enabling of these creeps.

  36. The Eagles happily signed Michael Vick, ABC just took back Charlie Sheen, SNL was perfectly happy to sign Chris Brown as a performer a couple of months ago -- and now Dancing with the Stars is stoked to have him, too?

More proof that this culture not only condones violence, but also basically exalts it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yes, it has been proven he smashed a 3rd (??) floor window with a chair causing glass shards to rain down onto the sidewalk.

I am sickened by this shit. Sickened.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yogoodgurl -- funny you mentioned that. I passed by Roberts' pic w/Brown on the set yesterday and wondered about her body language. Looked to me as though she was scared of him.

  39. if we're going to go after abc, let's remember that we should hold cbs to the same degree of accountability...it's sad that this is all about $, ad revenue and ratings...chris' or charlie's victims be damned. :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ugh. That's right. Two and Half Men is on CBS, not ABC.

It makes it even worse knowing that this is the THIRD network willing to give this turd work.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What, they took Charlie back?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I refuse to listen to or see anything this asshole is associated with.

    ReplyDelete
  43. CBS isn't hiring back Charlie Sheen because they weren't the ones who fired him. I'm sure they wish they could but WB/Chuck Lorre are the ones in charge and I bet they never take him back.

    ReplyDelete
  44. ABC is the network that cancelled Adam Lambert's appearances after he kissed a man on TV (at 11:00 pm no less). And yet they want this guy back? I guess for them violence is OK but kissing is not.

  45. he/s only welcome if I can personal;y beat the f@@k out of that pathetic excuse for a human being. And of that's ok with everyne, let's make it pay per view and the proceeds can go the victims of abuse./
