BuzzFoto Blind Item
When this A list actress told her B list costar that she wanted to do something special on Christmas for all of the cast and crew of the film they were finishing, the B lister couldn’t be bothered and made excuses so she wouldn’t have to help. The A lister did an individualized Secret Santa for everyone involved in production and tried to personalize the gifts as best as possible. When everyone got the presents and people tried to find out who to thank, the B lister decided to start dropping hints that she was the one that gave out the gifts. It is generally known on set of the film that the B lister has a kind and generous heart, even though it was the A lister who did the giving.
The only movie that springs to mind would be Black Swan with Portman giving the gifts and Kunis taking the credit. Doesn't feel right though.
ReplyDeleteSigourney Weaver & Kristen Bell? Movie: You Again? I dunno if Sig. Weav. is A list tho.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bitch!
ReplyDeleteWhoever the A-lister is, I hope the people end up finding out the truth.
ReplyDeleteNot a nice thing to do by the B lister. Hopefully the truth came out.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Amanda Seyfried and Virginia Madsen (Red Riding Hood). Virginia would be A list because she has an Oscar.
Sigourney is A-list for life, if you ask me! I love her, though.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that's a good guess -- isn't Kristen Bell a well-known beeyotch? And she's B-list at best.
Natalie's not nice enough to do something altruistic like that -- and Mila doesn't honestly strike me as underhanded. And wouldn't Black Swan have wrapped way before Christmas?
Amanda is supposed to be sincerely sweet. There was even a kind blind about her.
ReplyDeleteSome people are guessing Aniston and Kidman.
But would You Again have still been filming around Christmas?? Just not sure...
ReplyDeleteI can see Kristen Stewart buying gifts for everyone. It's well known that she loves to cook and bake for people while on set.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if she's considered A list, though.
Goopster Paltrow & Leighton Meester movie Country Strong
ReplyDeleteBlack Swan would have been filming around Christmas of 2009. Which would make this older gossip but topical given the Oscars.
ReplyDeleteThe Kristen Bell movie had five female leads including so I don't think it's the one. This sounds like a movie with two leads, one better known than the other.
Still not sure though, nothing seems to fit perfectly.
looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_and_beyond_in_film
ReplyDeleteif it wrapped some time reasonably close to christmas, then it won't open til March or so of this year (correct?) then the possibilities are:
Hall Pass - no A list actress
Paul - Sigourney Weaver maybe for A
Arthur - Helen Mirren / Jennifer Garner
Hanna - Cate Blanchett
Soul Surfer - Helen Hunt / Carrie Underwood (I could see that!)
Your Highness - Natalie Portman / Zooie Deschamel (can't see it)
Rio - Anne Hathaway
Water for Elephants - Reese Witherspoon
Thor - Natalie Portman
Kung Fu Panda 2 - Angelina/Lucy Liu
and then we move into July releases! there are a lot of options.
Larry Crowne - Julia Roberts
and..... I'm movied out. Guesses, please!
The old urban myth has been popping up a lot again lately: Enty said that having an Oscar does not guarantee you A-list status.
ReplyDeleteI like timebob's guess, because I can see Gwyneth doing it just so she could write about it in GOOP.
of course, it could have wrapped in 2009!
ReplyDeleteI like the Gwyneth guesss because I read that she bought all of the Glee kids personalized gifts after her guest appearance.
ReplyDeleteCould it be Kidman and Anniston from that dumb Adam Sandler movie?
ReplyDeleteIt could well be Goopie...
ReplyDeleteI like Mooshki and Stephen's reasons for guessing Gwyneth.
ReplyDeleteThanks to ms snarky for the research! No guesses here but I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteVirginia Madsen has not won an Oscar. She has a nomination for "SIDEWAYS"
ReplyDeleteAnything with HEIGEL....hate that biotch.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the Goopster being a nice person.
ReplyDeletenatalie portman is jewish... there's no way she would organize a "secret santa".
ReplyDeleteAnne Hathaway could be considered A list now. Especially after being cast as Catwoman. Did she wrap a movie recently?
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Mooski's comment about Paltrow writing about her gift giving on Goop. I can just hear her stilted blogging in my head:
ReplyDeleteThis charming _____ makes a delightful remembrance for when one makes a guest appearance on a television show. Cast members will long appreciate one's thoughtfulness and have warm memories for years to come at the bounty of imported ______, handmade painstakingly by blind nuns in the French alps high above my favorite exclusive ski resort. Each priced at only £700, they are like a warm, enveloping hug and are truly a bargain -- not to mention a wonderful way to say, "Merci, mon amis, merci!"
PUKE!
annie, "Secret Santa" is a gift exchange. There is nothing religious attached to it. There would be no reason for Natalie Portman not to participate in it.
ReplyDeleteI heart you, Mango.
ReplyDeleteNo guess here. I'm shocked Carrie Underwood will be in a movie. Her ego will get larger.
Drew Barrymore (A list?)
ReplyDeleteKristen Bell B list
"Everybody Loves Whales". It's in post now.
Just cause Natalie is Jewish doesn't mean she wouldn't acknowledge Xmas. Afterall, it is a major American Holiday. Natalie just may not celebrate it with her family. I'm Christian and I acknowledge Chanakah. My BFF is jewish and she throws a Chrismakah party every year and give me an xmas gift every year.
ReplyDeletelol Mango!
