Piers Morgan Uses Howard Stern For Ratings
Who knew that Larry King was so beloved? Since Piers Morgan took over Larry's time slot, the ratings for that hour have dropped like 75%. No one is watching CNN. I blame the company for thinking that just because they like Piers Morgan that the rest of the world would. No one in North America really even knew who the guy was and they gave him their best slot. They should have gone with someone everyone knew. I think Ryan Seacrest would have been great. He kisses the appropriate amount of butt and people are comfortable with him and would watch him.
Anyway, Howard Stern went on Piers' show and Piers said that he has now revived Howard's career. Huh? Howard makes so much money no one can even count it, and I don't think he is worried about his career. Piers is just talking smack so people will actually watch his show. He is scheduled to appear on Howard later this month and he promises it will be a fight. Probably more like a plea to come watch so he does not lose his job.
Piers has done Howard's show a few times. They don't fight just banter a lot.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Piers is that it isn't live and he was interviewing the most boring people (except Howard & Ricky Gervais). Now he has switched to a more Larry King format going over hot topics of the day and interviewing more then just one person on todays topics.
I think it will take a long time for Piers to gain a loyal audience.
Oh he's trying to get some ratings, that's for sure. Listing to Howard this morning, he was talking about the smack Piers is writing on his (Piers') Twitter account. Everything Howard has said about Piers and his new show has been spot on. Piers won't last long.
ReplyDeleteWhat Piers needs is a snazzy pair of suspenders.
ReplyDeleteLOL Mango
ReplyDeleteThe only episode I have watched with PM was with Howard Stern. I didn't think PM was awful. I think all the old farts were just so used to seeing Larry...when he left they did too and that was probably the target demographic right?
ReplyDeletePiers was smack talking about getting the job over Ryan, who is probably now laughing at the declining ratings.
This jerk actually pronounced himself the "most hated Brit in America." When my husband and I heard this, we looked at each other and said, "Who the hell is he?"
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we know now.
He'll be on Howard Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteWasn't he yesterday on Opa's show. If that was him he is such a Kiss Ass.
ReplyDelete"most hated Brit in America"??? I can hear Simon Cowell laughing from 3000 miles away.
ReplyDeleteNothing but "meh" for this guy. And no clue what else goes on on CNN besides Anderson Cooper.
ReplyDeleteHoward Stern called this right! Not a big Stern fan myself, but he knows his business. Piers Morgan is just a bore.
ReplyDeleteEnty, I can't believe you want more Ryan Seacrest on TV!

ReplyDeleteHoward will be on Letterman tonite pushing the Sirius app.
ReplyDeleteI hope he gets a few digs in at Piers!
Howard Stern is a genius.
ReplyDeleteI saw PM's show with Howard Stern. I liked the fact that he asked questions on what Howard was talking about instead of sticking with questions on a teleprompter and not giving a fuck what his guest was saying. I think that's a lost art for interviewers these days.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame he won't last long. He should be given a chance. It always takes a while for people to warm up to something new.
People aren't watching CNN because their liberal bias is ridiculous. As Liberals only make up about 20% of the population, there aren't enough Liberals to keep CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, etc in business.
ReplyDeleteFox News is conservative but they have the conservative market of about 40% of the population to themselves as they are the only conservative station.
