Thank goodness for Australia on this slow news day. This is incredible. It all starts with a 17 year old girl. This girl slept with one of the biggest stars of the Australian Football League. While she was at this guy's place she stole naked pictures of another AFL player off the first guy's computer. Why he had naked photos of another football player on his computer has not been answered. The guy she slept with dumped her so she posted naked photos and a video of the guy she had been sleeping with on the internet. Now, this is all good by itself but it gets so much better. The coach of the player she had been sleeping with is 47 years old and married with children. Well, he goes over to the girl's place and they end up having sex which she tapes. She also tapes the coach doing coke.
The videos end up on the internet and in Australia it is a crime to take videos of someone when they don't know. The girl is arrested but released because she is just 17. Meanwhile, the 47 year old coach (above)denied the drug charges but did say he had inappropriate contact with the girl. The 47 year old has now fled Australia for Ireland.

ReplyDeleteThis involves AFL players. The girl was a star athlete when they visited her school when she was 16. She then went to a camp the players were at and started her 'relationship' with the player - at either 16 or 17 (16 is the legal age of consent for sexual relations in Australia). This resulted in her schoolwork going to hell and her life spiralling out of control. When she released the nude photos, her parents disowned her. The Saints (the AFL team the player came from) tried to spin their players involvement and set her up in a hotel room in order to try and save face. This dirtbag 47 year old visited her in that hotel room and took alcohol with him (the legal drinking age in Australia is 18). After she went public about this sleazebag, the Saints withdrew payment on the hotel room. This girl needs help. She has been painted as a scarlet woman, yet the people who have abused her youth, trust and body seem to have escaped scot free. I hope this guys wife cuts his kahonas off.

At 16 years old, in close proximity to star athletes, caught up in the emotional excitement of the experience, guys filling her head with who knows what kinds of bullshit, it's easy to see how she could get swept up by the entire scene.

Two of my high school classmates (both 16 or 17 years old at the time) were NY Mets groupies and went to player parties, etc. There is no doubt in my mind that there was sex involved. And they went every weekend, sometimes during the week. One girl was the salutatorian (2nd highest GPA) of my graduating class! Of course, this is before digital media, the internet and the "Kardashian kraze."

Then again, other people had pretty good points about getting her head turned by glamourous older sports figures. And apparently, there is some information (according to the comments) that indicate these guys were really trying to screw with her.
I'll make up my mind later. I don't know enough now. I'm tending to think that they are ALL shady for right now though.
A 17 year old girl is just that. These are grown men we're talking about, and they probably have daughters her age. How would they feel if their daughters were treated like this? This is really sad. Does anyone have any honor these days?

The first guy this girl slept with is a twenty something football player with the St Kilda football club. Earlier last year, she revealed that she was pregnant by the player. The St Kilda football club laughed it off.
This is what made her mad enough to start a campaign against them.
She started posting nude photos of other St Kilda football players that the twenty something player had on his computer, including his team captain.
The entire AFL and all their high powered lawyers threatened her and tried to silence her.
Now we have the situation with the player agent saying he went to her hotel room to comfort her.
Ah yeah make me gag.
This is undoubtedly a 17 year old girl with issues, but this is primarily a 16/17 year old girl who has been taken advantedge of by men who should know better.
The original guy she slept with has since been embroiled in another scandal involving drugs.
There may be people making excuses for the guys, but where I live, both men and women think she has been treated appallingly and are glad she has had the balls to take a stand against the clowns who both work for and in the AFL.

Anyway, it makes me glad to know that Aussies aren't completely focused on slutshaming/victimizing this chick.
Okay, really you guys are only getting half the story. This is not the first time this girl has been in the news. She is media-hungry, delusional, makes up stories, and yes, has slept with many AFL players and now this players agent (not that any of them are blameless, at all). But to understand why people come down hard on this girl, you have to have watched the story, and seen the turmoil she's caused from the beginning. Believe me at the beginning of this she had everyone's sympathy, but she has managed to lose that quite quickly. The truth is that she's got serious issues that should be managed with professionals, NOT out in the public arena, but make no mistake, SHE is the one that continues to contact the media with a new story and scandal that she's involved in.

I don't know what "guys" you're all referring to. The issue is this ONE guy... the player manager Ricky Nixon who is 47. The other guys in question in the story are AFL footballers (all between 18-28 years old), ONE of whom she had a sexual relationship with. That guy is only 3 years older than her. She in turn, stole photos from his laptop, and published (on her Twitter and Facebook) naked photos of guys who had NEVER MET HER. I don't know what actions you think these particular guys should or could have taken, or what they shouldn't have done (besides let naked photos of themselves be taken or not insure said photos were deleted immediately).
