Kanye West Is Always Tring To Make Friends

I hope that group of kids that acted out all the Kanye Tweets do this one. Yesterday Kanye West decided he had a thing to say about so called gold diggers. This is not new, but he has never been quite this vocal.

"an abortion can cost a ballin' nigga up to 50gs maybe a 100. Gold diggin' bitches be getting pregnant on purpose. #STRAPUP my niggas!"

These are some of the most expensive abortions ever so I am guessing some of that money is so the woman does not talk to the Enquirer or the baller's wife. Kanye went on to say that it "ain't never happen to him, but he know people." Look, I know my grammar is atrocious. I think that is an accepted part of reading the site. Terrible grammar, and spotty punctuation, but you know what ticks me off more than Kanye's tweet, his attitude. If his mother was alive she would kick his ass for what he wrote and how he wrote it. The woman was a teacher and Kanye is an educated guy who chooses to talk and write like this because he thinks it makes him look cool. What he should do is show the kids who look up to him that you can be educated and travel the world and come from a loving home and still be a rapper. You don't need to be a thug to succeed in hip hop. Instead, Kanye just keeps riding that stereotype train for all he is worth.

    Indeed.

I guess Kanye just wasn't getting enough attention lately? Mayhaps if his idiotic friends knew how to properly roll on a rubber, they wouldn't have to worry about, ahem, "gold diggin' bitches."

This kind of tweet perfectly illustrates why I feel like bitchslapping people who ask me why I'm a feminist. And ALSO why I think men who talk about abortion had better tread fucking carefully.
And also why I hate Kanye.

i wouldn't necessarily call someone a 'thug' for using ebonics. he's not speaking with the queen of England, and it's f'in tweeter for crying out loud.

    furthermore, pot meet kettle!

  3. Ah...I'mma let you finish, but you allegedly have a law degree and reading your site at times lacks clarity. Damn the punctuation and grammar. You need help with articulation.

  4. When did that word become acceptable?

  5. @Ah, if you're going to bitch at Enty for his grammar, you should know that
"and reading your site at times lacks clarity" isn't exactly an example of great syntax.

    Just sayin'...

  11. And I don't have a blog that 1000s read daily.

  12. @Ah -- No. You sure don't. But do you have any idea how annoying it is to see comments that point out errors in punctuation? ParTICularly when Enty has ALLUDED to his shoddy grammatical skills in this VERY post? It's kinda snotty. It reminds me of being corrected by my Yalie dad if I accidentally use "me" instead of "I" when I'm casually conversing with him. Eyerollcity.

I know that I'm more proficient with the English language than Enty, but I really couldn't care less. I come here for the content and the commenters. I get my poetry and lyricism elsewhere.

Besides, there are bigger things to talk about in this post than grammar. Kanye can talk like a baller (yes, I am *totally* white) and drop the N-word all he pleases, I guess, but I REALLY don't need him weighing in on reproductive rights. It's kind of a serious issue right now.

Regardless of how he said it, Kanye made a good point. Wrap it before you tap it!

  14. Eyerollcity should be in the dictionary.

  15. I agree, Simone. There are women who get pregnant on purpose for the payday; I know a few. West may have said it inelegantly, but he did a point.

  16. I just find irony in the fact that a word is misspelled in the 'headline' :-)

    Love ya Enty!

  17. @amh. Holy shit. That's awesome.

    The die-hard CDANers don't even care/notice. :-)

  18. If he knows 'people' then he must have a lot of stupid acquaintances and/or friends.
There can't be any gold-digging if men would use the head on their neck and not the one in their pants.

And the Hip Hop slang is getting old and makes people look fucking dumb.

You want to get your point across and educate your fans, then you should talk like someone with a brain.

  19. I'm a die-hard CDAN'er, but I normally don't post, but in a post about grammar, etc. I just found hilarious.

  20. I saw this yesterday! I didn't know if I should be offended as a "bitch" or happy about the message of using a condom. I choose both.

  21. Huh? What did I do?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was wondering the same thing!

  23. @Mooshki -- maybe someone meant to criticize Enty, but they accidentally criticized you instead, because you ARE Enty?

  24. @amoteafloat, I love you.

  25. I enjoyed the use of his hashtag.

Yeah, I have no idea how much an abortion cost but I was thinking "MY GOD that sounds awfully high."

  26. "I ain't sayin' she's a golddigger, but strapup my broke broke broke..."!

Whatever. I think you're talented Kanye, but you're an ass for various reasons.

i am an african-american young woman who grew up in the begininning of rap (yes rap, not hip hop) but i will say that i agree with Enty about this post. it's like....come on kanye....you're not just talking to your friends in the studio, you're posting this for millions of people to see. even if you thought it and had to say it...did you have to use the words b*tches and n*ggas? really? it just takes away from your talent. IMO....

  28. How does he know it "ain't happening" to him? Condoms break, etc..Stuff happens. The only ways this ain't happening is... Kayne got snipped, he's sterile, or he is on the down low.

I will chalk him talking trash about a woman's reroductive rights and calling females bitches up to; Kanye being Kanye.

  29. Everytime Kanye opens his mouth, he inserts his foot. You would thinkhe'd get tired of the taste of shoe.

  30. I have a confession to make: I am a huge Kanye fan. Love, love, love his music.

This, however? Not a huge fan. There are so many things wrong with this, but since I am in a good mood I will just do what someone else suggested: see it as a pro-condom message, of which I approve.
