John Travolta & Kim Kardashian?
No, not John Travolta and Kim Kardashian like that. Maybe Robert Kardashian or if he was really feeling like some Olympic roleplaying then maybe Bruce Jenner, but probably not Kim. The pair though might be sharing a movie screen together. Apparently what I thought was going to be a real mobster like movie with John Travolta starring as John Gotti is going to be turned into some kind of spoof flick. There is no other explanation I can think of why Kim Kardashian would be cast as Kim Gotti, the daughter-in-law of John in the movie. I have seen Kim's movie roles and all she would do would make this movie something to criticize. I love Sofia Coppola as a director, but she almost ruined Godfather III all by herself as an actress. Stunt casting is for sweeps month in television, not a movie where you are spending a hundred million bucks and you want people to pay to go see it.
Wait. I'm sorry, but WHAT?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I *knew* there would be a Kardashian post today, Enty.
Unlike some readers, I think you're real. But I ALSO think that Kris Jenner has you on her speeddial, despite how much you profess to hate her brood. ;-)
I think John Travolta stopped caring a long time ago. He is on auto pilot and will star in whatever they want him to star in. Oh, maybe he can play the record producer in my remake of The Bodyguard.
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone be stupid enough to hire Kim??? Is the movie going to be call "Gotti's Bimbos"?
ReplyDeleteShe'll need to hang out with Victoria or Angel Gotti to refine the accent.
ReplyDeleteAre there gratuitous sex scenes?? That's the only thing she has talent enough to perform.
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty and pretty damn smart to even be in the running for the role. Can she act? Not unless she is in bed with one of her numerous playmates and they have money.
ReplyDeleteTHAT explains the casting. Clearly Sophia Coppola is looking to cast someone who will take over her crown as worst acting performance ever. There's no other reason I can think of for casting KK.
ReplyDeleteSophia is a good director but she did ruin Godfather 3. In the history of cinema I don't think there has ever been less chemistry between two romantic leads as Sophia and Andy Garcia. I didn't believe for a second that he really loved her.
ReplyDeleteBefore she learns the accent, Kim would need to learn (and this might be too much for her) how to be LOW profile. From what I understand Kim Gotti kept waaaaaay out of the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteWHY would anyone even THINK of hiring this woman to act?
ReplyDeleteplease please please let this be a Kris leak.
I didn't know Kim had any acting credits at all. She's trying to be a triple threat now with the new single, new movie....and can the girl dance? Not from what we saw with Prince.
ReplyDelete@amoteafloat - *sigh*....there's a Kardashian post every day here, sometimes more than one and always a picture or two.
ReplyDeleteAs to this, what a joke. I gotta wonder if Kim isn't investing her own money in trying to become this ubiquitous presence across all forms of media in the hope she'll strike it big with talent SOMEWHERE. So far the only thing I know for sure she's decent at is being pissed on in a sex tape. It made her "career", after all.
is this the piece of crap that stuttering john is executive producing?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Kim is paying Sofia Coppola to do this. We can only pray she doesn't have many lines.
ReplyDeleteI now believe the Karkashians are Ent's clients and they read every word he writes about them. I wonder if they read every word we write about them.
shakey, if they do, I hope they read the comments!!!
ReplyDeleteIf Kim is wooden on a "reality show" can watching her emote? And that breathless, little girl voice... ugh. I never saw her sex tape but I've heard that she gave a pretty lackluster performance in that, too.
ReplyDeletewhat she lacked in acting ..like a GAZILLION years ago..she more than made up with : Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation alone atone for that one.
ReplyDeleteCan it cover KK in the new film?
Doubtful. She better make another classic to cover this one!
Although her performance in GF3 was heinous, she was a last-minute replacement for Winona Ryder who bailed; bad choice, and that whole film felt rushed.
ReplyDeleteMarie Antoinette was a real mixed bag, too. Liked and disliked it. She's a better director than actress; maybe she can acually coax a credible performance out of KayKay--it won't be much of a stretch!
If Sophia could get ScarJo to *kinda* emote, there's still hope for Kim!!
ReplyDeleteamoteafloat, that's why I love you - you're such an optimist. ;)
ReplyDelete@Mooshki -- a veritable Pollyanna, fo' reals. ;-)
