Jennifer Lawrence Attracted To Her Brother
Umm, where do you begin when someone says they are attracted to their brother. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the actress who got an Academy Award nomination is now stepping into the realm of Angelina Jolie. Maybe she is thinking about bringing her brother as her date to the awards and capturing all the headlines by making out with him right there on the red carpet. This is like when Shia said his mom is hot or something like that. Even if you ever were to think such a thing, maybe you would be better off keeping that to yourself and your alone time at night.
The reference came out when she said she still had some Kentucky in her even though she now lives in Los Angeles. Because of her Kentucky background she says "little redneck things still come out. I'm attracted to my brother. Stuff like that."
She didn't mean that literally. I hope.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird...but I'm more pissed off that she is deliberately feeding into the stereotype about Southerners.
ReplyDeleteI think she's joking, no?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think she's joking but on paper it sounds so serious. @Cecilia00 I agree.
ReplyDeleteThat is not a picture of Jennifer Lawrence.

ReplyDeleteWow, I just watched Winter's Bone two days ago, and I also would NOT have said that is Jennifer Lawrence. By the way, that was a great, though disturbing, movie.
ReplyDeleteAs for this, I'm pretty sure she was joking. It's a stereotype of Kentucky, I think.
Thank you, kathryn.
ReplyDeleteNo, it's a picture of someone called Arielle Kebbel from a premiere in 2005.

Yea, definitely not a picture of Jennifer. And she was making a a stereotype-joke. Geez... Who would ever think that was serious?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's a joke and yeah, that's a picture of Arielle Kebbel.
ReplyDeleteI live Kentucky we all are not attracted to kin and are not as dumb to say stupid things like that. Actually, not even a true redneck would. Thanks for keeping up the stereotypes Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteSurely she was being facetious...even in Oklahoma we only say that about people from Arkansas, never ourselves! ;)
ReplyDeleteit's a joke and the girl in the pix isn't Jennifer Lawrence
ReplyDeleteFairly certain she was joking.
ReplyDeleteI saw the movie, but I didn't recognize her here.
ReplyDeleteDulcinea. Another Okie here and your post made me LOL.
ReplyDeleteHope you're ready for more snow!
That's Arielle Kebbel of 'John Tucker Must Die'.
ReplyDeleteObviously it's a joke, but even as a joke it makes me want to barf. Are we in for another day of EWWWWW! today? :)
ReplyDelete"I'm so Southern that I'm related to myself" is one version of the joke she's reaching for. I think it's funny, but then again, I'm a blue-blooded Yankee.
ReplyDeleteOh, Ashley Judd will *not* like this at all!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that joke doesn't even come off well in person. I hope she likes the taste of toe jam.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Louisiana but escaped to Texas and we say that about AR and OK and parts of East Texas we say the name of the town and add "where men are men and sheep are scared". Laugh at the stereotypes people. There is a shade of truth in all of them!
ReplyDelete@ lisap515 - I thought Montana was where men are men and sheep are scared.
ReplyDeleteLOL @sunnyside1213...probably there too! ;) Insert goats, cats, dogs as needed. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a joke. I hope it's a joke.
