The Dangers Of Reporting

When CBS reporter was detained by the Egyptian military and then released after a day of captivity and returned to the US, I thought she would stay home and recover. Instead she took the next plane right back to Cairo. When the Egyptian President stepped down, Lara was in the street and during the melee, was beaten and sexually assaulted. Right in the middle of all of the chaos a sexual assault was taking place and the people with her were helpless to stop it. I feel so awful for Lara and admire her courage for discussing it and for going back to do her job even after what she went through originally. Her situation is not isolated, but because she is a reporter for a network her story is out there and I also thank all the people who did finally step in and save her.
