  1. Love Halle's dress, Helen Mirren, and it can not be said enough: I have not seen Hailee Steinfeld miss yet. She is continuously proving that you do not need to dress and look like you are 25 when you are a teen to look great and glamorous.

  2. What was Daphne Zuniga doing at the Oscars?

Florence of the Machine looks really, really awful. Someone tell her it's 2011, not 1811.

  3. And adding on: What can one say about HBC other than she does exactly what she wants and no matter how far out, she owns it so it works?

    Congrats to Colin & Christian!

    Surprise to see Zuniga there.

Who is Florence W. don't like her dress

Fishstick did a horrible tanning on herself. Looks bad. Dress too plain. Kidman's dress not really liking it.

    Hailee looks so cute.

    Halle, don't like her anymore.

    My favorite lady Helen M.

    Crazy Bonham-Carter lol

Hilary don't care for the feathers.

  6. Ooohhhh, Dame Helen! She looks amazing. But she always does.

Hailee looks perfect. *Halle* looks the same as ever -- predictably radiant with something swoopy and dramatic. I don't know why, but I was kinda bored by her this time around.

Florence...I still love your songs and videos, dear, but...uuugggghhh. That might not be a Mischa Barton-level sartorial catastrophe, but it's damn close to it.

I hate to admit it, but I loved Gwyneth's dress. Her orange skin was weird, but her hair looked amazing against all that gold.

  7. someone needs to take all these "teens" and sit them down and show them pictures of Hailey as proof you don't have to dress like a Kardashian just because your going to an awards show. That young lady looked lovely AND age appropriate.

  8. The Firths are stunning.

  9. Best Dressed: Halle, Hillary and Mila (not pictured).

Hailee dressed age appropriate which was refreshing to see compared to other youngsters.

    Nicole and Goopster---fail.

  10. Oh and Dame Helen-----Sheer perfection!

  11. Florence W. does her own thing. Can't hate on her. Her voice is incredible.

I gotta say, as much as I can't stand Goop, I frigging LOVED her dress. The way it moved....ahh. Amazing.

  12. This morning, Randolph Duke said Hilary Swank was best-dressed. She looks nice, but best?

Hellen Mirren looked awesome. Does anybody know what shoes she was wearing? When she walked out to present, her shoes looked awesome.

How many times has Halle worn that dress now?

OMG, Guiliana and Kelly were crazy over Goopy's dress. It's different, but it ain't all that.

Nicole Kidman's dress was old school Hollywood glam and I really thought her face looked nice (for a change).

  13. Hialry Swank...WHY? Why is your face at the oscars? why are you wearing the dreadful dress? So many questions...

  14. Hailee Steinfeld wins my best dressed award. She was PERFECT and age appropriate from head to toe, and her story about drawing out the dress that was in her mind and finding a designer who could make something like it was so cute. I hope we see more of her, and I hope she stays 'normal'.

  15. Dear Gawd almightly, I'll look at J-Hud's side-boobs anyday in bright orange than these blah washed-out NO COLOR effing gowns. Gyahhhh! UGGGHHHH. Cannot STAND this no-color trend!

    (sorry, rant over)

(Gotta say, though, while I can't stand Gwynneth, I liked both her dresses AND her singing. First time I'd heard her, and I must say, you go girl...you really can sing! Kudos.

  16. What valerie said - why was Daphne Zuniga there, but Jack Nicholson wasn't? He hasn't been since that year they did the 5 presenters-in-the-round thing because his regular seat was needed.

This is 2x in a row Nicole Kidman looks really nice. New stylist?

  18. Dear Gawd almighty, I'll look at every no-color dress on the planet before I look at J-Hud's cheesy taffetta prom shit style HALTER (the fuck...?) gown with the smashed down boobies! Ahhhh! I can't take it!

Without the brooch, Gwyneth would be perfection. That simple Calvin Klein liquidy metallic was incredible. Just don't like brooches.

    Helen Mirren--hotter than most 20-somethings.

Halle--too much cloud poofy foofiness on the bottom. Color perfect for her skin tone. Sorry, but a loud color is not the only way to look wow.

  19. HBC always used to look so dreamy, and classy. Since hooking up with Tim Burton she now looks like a cheap hooker nightmare. Strange that one woman can run the spectrum like that.

  20. Hailee Steinfeld - what a gorgeous young lady!

  21. Kidman looked pretty from the waist up, but the dress as a whole was a disaster. I thought Halle Berry looked beautiful as usual, but also as usual, she played the "woman of color" card right off the bat in her interview on ABC. We get it, Halle, your absentee father was black, and even though you were raised by your white mother and white grandparents, you are black, black, black.

  22. Hailee Steinfeld was adorable in red carpet interviews.

  23. Dapne Zuniga? Is this the 90's and Melrose Place gets invited to the Oscars?

    Love Nicole and Gwynneth's dresses.

  25. I thought Kidman's dress looked like a used napkin

  26. I would have put Nicole in Gwyneth's dress. The last few years, she's done so much of the white/nude look I just can't take it anymore. She needs color! I thought the Grammys were a sign of change. I guess not. But at least this dress didn't have any bows on it.

I really liked the dress Florence wore on stage.

    Helen Mirren is just fabulous.

  27. Poor Daphne, it sucks that her dress got caught in the car door on her way in.

I love Florence's dress. I think that's how you do Eccentric at the Oscars.

Goopy looks droopy in that dress.

Hailee - same as you've all said, purely wonderful.

I think Hilary deserved best dressed for making her flat, hard bod look so curvy and feminine!

  28. I loved the dress on Hailee and the added headband. It dressed her up, but made her look like age appropriate at the same time. Kudos to a beautiful young lady with class---something we don't see too much of any longer.

  29. If I read this one more time, I am going to scream: "What was Daphne Zuniga doing at the Oscars?" -- WHO FUCKING CARES?????????????????????
