I have been thinking about last week's Your Turn all week. The problem with going back in time to correct issues is finding that one point in time that was crucial and then actually making the changes to give you something different. The problem is that when you go back and change one thing you are affecting so many other things and the people you meet along the way. Would you still meet the same people that you have enjoyed? It is so hard to find that perfect spot.
Anyway, this week, something a lot less profound. Favorite day of the week? Worst day of the week?
Favourite day is Sunday because it's a do nothing day.
ReplyDeleteLeast favourite? Friday because it means I have to start my work "week" that is really 2 days long.
Favorite day is Sunday. I either catch up on shopping, attend church, watch tv or go to the beach. There are also less kids out in stores on Sundays.:) I'd rather shop on a Sunday than Saturday for that reason.
ReplyDeleteWorst day - Sunday. Back to work/school/routine.
ReplyDeleteLet's say favourite *time* of the week - Friday night. Everyone starts to unwind.
Favorite: Saturday (you can sleep in and stay up late)
ReplyDeleteLeast Favorite: Monday (beginning of work week)
Favorite - Monday. I am optimistic and love the idea of starting fresh
ReplyDeleteLeast Favorite - Monday. By the end of the day "old me" knows that "optimistic me" is full of crap and wants a nap, a drink and some chocolate.
As the Boomtown Rats would say...I don't like Mondays
ReplyDeleteFriday was the best when I was young...a night out with friends, anything could happen...meet a girl, get into an endless laughing jig with your friends, got a lot of hilarious stories. Any more Saturday is the best, pretty quiet this time of year, hang out with the kids, summer time work in the yard (I actually enjoy that.
ReplyDeleteFor the other, as the song goes, "I don't like Mondays.."
Amelie, you owe me a beer.
ReplyDeleteYes yes Miller time it is....
ReplyDelete@Gaucho Girl.. my thoughts exactly!
ReplyDeleteFour for Friday blinds - could there be a better day?
ReplyDeleteMy fave day is Monday. The kids are at school, my hubby is at work, and I can do whatever I want all day. I'm self employed so sometimes I will catch up on work, sometimes do housework, and sometimes DO NOTHING. I love Mondays.
ReplyDeleteLeast favorite day is Tuesday, because it's the furthest from Monday.
either wednesday or thursday because i get to see my mistress.
ReplyDeleteThe best day is the night before a day off.
ReplyDeleteWorst? Day before going back to work.
Favourite day is Saturday because I can do anything - stay up late, drink, not drink, swim etc because I have Sunday to recover.
ReplyDeleteLeast favourite day at the moment is Friday because my boss is so disorganised I end up doing everything on Friday even though I work five days a week.
Big-Assed Sal - why do you have a mistress? Just curious. Also, are you married or in a committed relationship or is she the one who is taken, or are you both taken?
favorite: Monday, my husband and I are always together
ReplyDeleteleast: Friday, I always work overnight on Thursday, and then my husband works his week the next 3 days :(
Agree with what Merlin D. Bear said.
ReplyDeleteMy worst day is Sunday. By the time Sunday afternoon rolls around I have an extreme case of sensory overload. All the TV's in the house have been blasting non-stop all weekend, my dear husband has put crap on every single flat surface in the house, people coming and going non-stop - it's a mess. There is nothing relaxing about hanging around the house that day. By Monday morning they've all gone and I can have my sanity back again.
ReplyDeleteferal, i'm taken. she is not, but she can do what she pleases when i am not there. in the process of fixing up the house to place on the market this Dec. wife and i are dealing with a mediator regarding a divorce. will tell the kids the end of february.
ReplyDeletei will gladly help the soon to be ex move into an apartment, pay the security deposit, and a few months rent. after that she is on her own. kids are now grown.
will never marry again.
Wishing you the best Sal. Hope you find happiness.
ReplyDeleteFavorite - Sunday - its always pajama Sunday at our house.
ReplyDeleteLeast Favorite - Thursday, don't know why but I just don't care for it.
Least favorite day is Thursday. I have my weekly marriage counseling and I get so amazingly frustrated.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite day is Wednesday because I have pancakes and bacon for breakfast and then do whatever I please that day.
Favorite day is Thursday. My mom watches my son, rather than him being in daycare, and he calls me and she sends me pictures of their day together. Also love knowing that the weekend is right around the corner....
ReplyDeletei own a small biz and can/do work from home half of the time. my favorite day is monday. i work from home that day, so i go grocery shopping and make it my priority to have a great dinner ready by 6pm for my SO and her daughter. and enough leftovers for tuesday's lunch.
ReplyDeletei don't have a least favorite day.
Favorite day: any day where I get to hang out and do my thing.
ReplyDeleteLeast favorite day: any day when I don't get to hang & do my thing.
Least favorite day: any day that I have to wake up and rush to go to work.
ReplyDeleteFavorite day: any day that I can laze around and watch morning tv while drinking cup after cup of tea.
Sunday always seems like a wasted day because you are supposed to 'relax'. I don't care for Sunday or Monday but LOVE Fridays and Saturdays!
ReplyDeletemy fave day is when i am off from the part-time on friday or sat and can have the whole day dedicated to earning. saturdays are the most profitable days.
ReplyDeleteFavorite: I really love Fridays b/c usually it's my "get stuff done" day & I am optimistic about what the weekend holds.
ReplyDeleteLease Favorite: Mondays. I LOATHE them. I even start dreading them on Sunday b/c it's almost Monday.
@Klondyke - your answer made me grin a big grin - heard a lot of love :) Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWednesday, because it was 2 days until the weekend. Now I don't think I like it anymore...just found out I have cancer this last Wednesday....don't know why I am posting this here....guess because none of you know me.
ReplyDeleteBecause I am unemployed, all days are the same.
ReplyDeleteFavorite day: Sunday, because my husband works 2nd shift six days a week, so Sundays are spent with our three kids just sitting around, watching football, grazing and playing board games. I love Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLeast favorite day: Tuesday, because I just don't like it. Never have. Couldn't tell you why.
@sunnyside
ReplyDeletei was about to make ur same comment hopefully this year brings us some different days lol
So sorry, Angie :( Best of luck with the fight that is ahead.
ReplyDeleteAngie...I am so sorry! That is the worst possible news to hear on any given day.....CDAN is a wonderful community of "listeners" and "shoulders to lean on"......hugs and strength to you...
ReplyDeleteEvery day is the best and worst for me.....because every day of my life is completely haphazard and upside down, and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Favorite: Thursday because RHBH is on (I will have to think about a new favorite day now the season is ending)
ReplyDeleteLeast Favorite: Sunday. Because for a TV addict, there is shit on Sunday evenings.
Favorite: Wednesday
ReplyDeleteLeast Favorite: Friday
Best day: Any day off of work.
ReplyDeleteleast fav:Mondays because it's usually a high volume work day at the hospital I work for and it makes work 10x's harder and makes everyone tense.
@Angie- Wishing you all the best. Keep us informed here. We do care.
thanks everyone for the well wishes. very appreciated.
ReplyDeleteFavorite: Monday...new beginnings..what will happen this week? (also love the peacefulness of a Sunday)
ReplyDeleteLeast: Friday..too much old party baggage associated with it
@Angie..saying a prayer for you
No preference, really, but I do love Friday evenings when I meet some friends for a gourmet meal and wine at the house of a friend who has a fabulous kitchen. We take turns cooking and it's nice to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteAngie, keep us posted on your progress. Healing thoughts being sent you way.
