The Worst Actor On TV All Year Is Presenting A Golden Globe

Obviously the Golden Globes have decided to try and find someone to watch their awards ceremony and have thrown out any thought of pretending that acting talent enough will get people to watch. Justin Bieber has been announced as a presenter. Much like Miley Cyrus and the Academy Awards, this is all about trying to find a new audience for the tired and stale awards format.

Justin was awful in his CSI appearance but that has not stopped CSI from throwing him up there for another episode this season. I understand the whole trying to find an audience thing, but it seems like you could find some actual actors to present at an acting awards ceremony.

  1. The only awards show more contrived than the GGs is the American Music Awards.

  2. Anyone remember when CSI was must-see TV? I haven't seen an episode in years. And I don't think I've missed anything.

  4. I haven't watched awards shows since Sheila E. played The Glamorous Life with glow in the dark drumsticks at the AMAs.

  6. Maybe you tube wasn't such a hot idea. That is how we got this little shit in our face all the time now.

  7. So the tweens will watch for his one minute appearance & then turn the channel. I don't see the point? I really wish he'd cut his hair.

  8. Who cares about the Bieber, in two or three years from now his fans will be older and hopefully wiser, people will go "bieber who?"

  9. @Jess - I really wish you were right, but I remember wishing the same about Miley years ago. Both are BRANDS now, and here to stay. Tv, movies, collaborations, ack!

  10. meh. i can't get worked up about this. from a marketing/advertising perspective, i can see why they're doing it. it's not necessarily right, but it's not the worst thing. besides, he's not a bad kid. he's learning, he's growing and he's living his moment. can't hate.

  11. I think it's worse that CSI put him in another episdode. They already get good ratings, they don't need this crap.
