Today's Blind Items - Who Smokes The Most Pot?
There is a music studio on NYC owned by one of the biggest labels on the planet. Mostly hip hop artists record there, but there are lots of others too. Apparently it is the studio that is known for the most and biggest pot smokers in the music business. Snoop records there. Method Man. You get the picture. Well, despite the presence of those formidable opponents, the person who smokes the most pot in this studio is this A list singer who was in a big group and has done really well on his own. Hmm, he is also married and has collaborated on a really big hit too.
The studio is owned by Universal Music Group, still working on the artist.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, Lionel Ritchie popped in my head, due to the Commodores. But I'm sure that I'm waaay off.
ReplyDeleteGreat guess Jackie, LR does make sense didn't he collaborate on the big hit "We are the world" with Michael Jackson?
ReplyDeleteCarlos Santana?
ReplyDeleteRob Thomas.
ReplyDeleteJT or Rob Thomas.
ReplyDeletenevermind JT...
ReplyDeleteBlack Crowes/Chris Robinson?
ReplyDeleteSomeone from Allman Bros?
Rolling Stones/Keith Richards?
So many possibilities...
Not that scandalous a BI, btw. I'm all for everyone smoking more weed--put down the guns, quit the hate speech & chillax!
Eric Clapton
ReplyDeleteSting
I also think Rob Thomas. He has admitted he smokes weed.
ReplyDeleteSting or Paul McCartney. Collaboration with MJ?
ReplyDeleteWait, McCartney's not currently married, so Sting.
ReplyDeleteI do!!!

ReplyDeleteHomegrown's all right with me.
ReplyDeleteHomegrown is the way it should be ...
I'll guess Neil Young =D
good guess re: Lionel Richie, I think if he's correct then the obvious collab they are referring to is "Endless Love"!
ReplyDeleteSting is a good guess too, but what would be his big collab?
@supergroupie - he's had a few! "Desert Rose" was pretty big, but maybe "Money For Nothing" with Dire Straits. There was a big one with Bryan Adams, too.
ReplyDeleteRobbie Williams, formerly of Take That. He recently collaborated with TT on a couple of songs. He's mega A list in the rest of the world. And is recently married.
ReplyDeleteIs Bobby Brown A list?
ReplyDeleteI like the Rob Thomas guess.
ReplyDeleteMarried
Did well with Matchbox 20
As a Single Artist
Collaborated with Santana on Smooth
Robert Plant? I like the Neil Young guess as well.
ReplyDeleteJT isn't married.
ReplyDeletei think rob thomas is a good guess, since matchbox 20 and the collaboration with santana fits it to a T.
Lionel Ritchie ftw!
ReplyDeleteCould this be the love of my life, Julian Casablancas? I don't know how well he's done on his own, but I like his solo effort.
ReplyDeleteLionel Ritchie got a divorce.
ReplyDeleteSting is seriously into his weed so I gotta go with him. Years ago he did an interview with Spin magazine and it was mostly about the amazing weed he smoked in the Carribean. Rob Thomas fits but he has talked about getting really fat when he does drugs though I haven't seen him recently.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Robbie Williams being A list everywhere else but here qualfies as this is someone A list in this country. Enty would have mentioned if it was A list elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteSting, obvsly.
ReplyDeleteSeriously?
ReplyDeleteA pot-smoking blind about a music studio?
Really?
Newbie here, but I love the site!
ReplyDeleteI'm 99% sure this is Rob Thomas. He's never made any secret of his pot smoking. I don't know if he qualifies as A list in Enty's book, but he definitely fits otherwise.
Neil Young never records in NYC, he's a LA or Nashville guy.
ReplyDeleteThe Rob Thomas guess is a great one, except would we call him A list?
ReplyDeleteI recently rediscovered weed and BOY I would like to be able to smoke that recreationally but the job thing gets in the way. My state always test for drug use. :(
ReplyDeleteDawn, your comment made my day.
ReplyDeleteI gotta trust my gut instinct more, it appears. I thought my guess would be easily laughed away. But I'm liking the Sting guess too.
ReplyDeleteI love the people at CDaN. Everyone is so nice! :D
I'm thinking Rob Thomas. The band was Matchbox 20, he did a solo album that did reasonably well and the collaboration was with Santana.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what qualifies as A-list, but Matchbox 20 was nominated for just about every award in the book and won People's Choice, so...
It's hard to really compete in the "most pot smoked" competition. Any pot smokers worth the name wake up, smoke joints before they get up, sit in the living room doing bonghits before breakfast, get stoned all morning and all afternoon, then smoke weed all night. Measuring that would be difficult. Luckily, the contenders probably don't fight over who's smoked the most -- they just smoke more and forget about it.
ReplyDeleteAwww, you guys are all way off - it's me!! :P
ReplyDeleteSting.
ReplyDeleteIt's gotta be Sting.
Smash Studios or Platinum Sound or NYC Recording Studio?? Lots of Hip Hop at NYC but no Sting or Rob Thomas.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me??? Rob Thomas and Robbie Williams are A list to you people???? Please....
ReplyDeleteNobody smokes as much as Paul McCartney. He can out smoke anybody in the music industry today.
