March 23, 2012


It is still over a year away and a truly awful date, but at least there is now a release date for The Hunger Games. I have no idea why Lionsgate chose that week for the release. It seems like it is a week late for Spring Break? That is the only reason I can think of for them releasing it in the third week of March. Unlike summer though, Spring Break is not a big movie going time.

Anyway, I am just happy the movie will be on the big screen. Oh please oh please do not screw it up. Do not temper the violence or try and make the love story what it is not. Just be true to the book and everything will be good. No casting decisions have been announced yet.
