Katie Holmes Stars In Another Bomb
Even costars like Al Pacino could not save Katie Holmes from being involved in another movie bomb. Her latest movie, Sons Of No One, premiered at Sundance last night and no one applauded at the end. No big deal really considering that the number of people who left during the movie was called an exodus. Ahh, Katie you sure can pick them. But hey, that Kennedy mini-series will probably get picked up at some point. I think the big clue should have been that Chaning Tatum was the big star.
Forget Holmes, it probably looked good on paper given the cast. The real question is what happened to Pacino.
ReplyDeleteThe billing order is bizarre. OK, Pacino at the end would make sense (visually he's the star connected to the title) but in what universe do Tracy Morgan and *Katie Holmes* take precedence over Binoche and Liotta?
ReplyDeletehonestly at this point she should just be a happy housewife and stick to teaching Suri how to properly walk in stilettos.
ReplyDeleteActing is just not for her.
Is Gay Cruise her manager LOLOL?
ReplyDeleteI'm having trouble envisioning a movie with Binochet and Morgan together.
ReplyDeleteWhen people walk out or the movie is a total bomb isn't it the fault of the Director/Producer rather than the actors?
ReplyDeleteI'd say it is an embarrassment for everyone involved with the film. Not just Katie.
ReplyDeletepretty sad when she and channing tatum get higher billing than pacino, liotta and juliette binoche.
ReplyDeleteyes, bad movies haunt directors and producers. but they rub off on actors too. nicole kidman, anyone??
I don't think she picks any of her projects. Remember she had the Batman movie and took a pass on what was going to be one of the biggest movies of that year, Maggie G stepped in instead. No one with an agent would have taken a pass on that movie franchise. Not just for the money but they are high profile films.
ReplyDeleteI think it has a lot to do with her husband picking her movies, ensuring she's never going to eclipse his falling star.
what interesting casting!
ReplyDeleteZandra my thoughts exactly. Can't have another Nic situation now can we? LOL
ReplyDeleteIDK, maybe I'm the only one looking at it this way, but I am reading the names from top to bottom as growing in reknown/popularity til you hit AL PACINO SON OF NO ONE. Like, CT is least known, on up the list to the climax of the title. Anyway. Not important. Blame Dito.
ReplyDeleteChanning getting top billing is funny.
ReplyDeleteSo Enty immediately moves to blame a woman (with, like just 4 short scenes in the whole movie) instead of the top-billed actor or the director/producer? Or, as everyone should, the projectionist who cut the movie short and turned on the lights?
ReplyDeleteI just got back from Sundance. I don't know where you get your facts, but obviously they are not reliable. Son of No One doesn't premiere at Sundance until Friday, January 28 at 6:15 p.m. at the
ReplyDeleteEccles theater. What you've posted is wrong. Get your facts straitght before posting.
