Right before Christmas, John Travolta had enough of the whole baby raising thing and left for a long weekend with three other guys. You know, some skiing and some hot tubbing up in Vermont. According to The National Enquirer, the group of guys spent their time skiing, eating and drinking. The source for the report also says that Kelly Preston wants John to tell her the truth about his sexuality. Don't you think he has probably done that? It does seem odd to go have a guys weekend right after the birth of his child though. You would think if anything he would have taken some kind of family vacation or at least made it look like one.

ReplyDeleteA friend of mine has a timeshare in the same resort as KP's manager/best friend and claims the manager told her that the JT & KP are "best friends" and she's known all along.

ReplyDeleteI agree with RocketQueen, although they can spin this to the unaware public like "Kelly's learnt John's secret!". If he doesn't want to come out then it's ok but don't sell me the macho family man.

ReplyDeleteI always had the feeling that the two of them have an understanding. He's gay, but never saw himself ever living with a man and trying to have a family with a man. I think he wants the nuclear family thing and he found a woman who was willing to do that for him. I do think they love each other on a different level. So, while it might be nice for him to come out, would people understand the lifestyle choice he's made? He would get shit from all sides.
ReplyDeleteAfter growing up in Indiana in the late 70's & 80's with closeted gay childhood friends, the saddest part to me about JT is that he's never free. He must have psychological issues something fierce. Staying in the closet is so hard on average people, I can't imagine being an international celebrity for 40 years.

I have a great deal of sympathy for John, for some reason I think he would like to come out but he has that evil sect controlling him, and his wife doesn't seem to want him to - though I do think he and his wife love each other.Like Libby says - set yourself free John, we'll love you anyway !
ReplyDeleteperhaps the reason he went away right before christmas is it's also right before new years when Jett died. Maybe he just needed some time with that. I'm sure he and Kelly are on a rollercoaster of emotions right now. Wish everyone would just let them be. Whatever is the story, it's their story and noone elses.

ReplyDeletei knew a couple with a relationship like this. her only stipulation was that he not embarrass her. they were together a long time, adopted a child and were very happy together until her death. then he came out as the flaming queen he always was at heart.

I think John's a great guy and the media should leave him alone. If he and KP have a deal, that's their biz. coming out is a personal thing. Of course, nothing's personal anymore as far as celebs are concerned.
ReplyDeleteI hope, though, that some of these closeted celebs see the largely supportive comments on entertainment websites and are somehow encouraged by them. But I had a message from Gossip Boy a few months back in response to a message I sent him about coming out that affirmed that he'll NEVER tell. And I guess I can't blame him and others. The entertainment world is a strange one.
I would rather see him escape CO$ than come out.

ReplyDeleteAs rich as he is, I really do feel sorry for John. Being in the closet is sheer torment, especially if you WANT to come out but can't for professional or personal reasons. Not sure what the deal he and Kelly have (she knows) but that damn "church" of his simply cannot afford to let him live his life they way he wants to because they think it will make THEM look bad, when in fact it is none of their damn business.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is what I wish for him. Then he will be free, on so many levels, and he knows it.
Another thing, I think with the death of Jett, it did free him and he was ready to divorce, but CO$ wrangled him with a baby announcement, and a pillow...and of course...the son.
ReplyDeleteWhen you stop to think about the amount of dirt the Co$ has on every single one of "their" celebs due to "monitoring", you realize that should JT (or hell, pretty much any of them) break with the Co$ they'd blow open his closet with a hydrogen bomb.
