Chris Brown Wants Restraining Order Lifted

Chris Brown wants to go to this year's Grammy Awards. That however cannot happen unless a judge lifts the restraining order which prohibits him coming within 100 yards of Rihanna. Chris wants some accolades and wants to perform at the Grammy's. I think he should continue to suffer for one more year. I say that because the whole thing actually happened during Grammy week so it reminds of me when he did beat Rihanna. Apparently just being nominated is not enough for Chris. He does not want to watch the show at home punching his Rihanna bag while she sings with Eminem about domestic violence.

The judge said she would not be opposed to making it a do not annoy order. Well, what does annoy mean because he still annoys the heck out of me. If it is lifted, how much do you want to bet that Chris does everything in his power to get a picture of himself with Rihanna. You don't think he will try so he can show the world that he is this wonderful guy and the woman he beat agreed to take pictures with him?

  2. The SOB should be counting his blessings that he's seeing daylight instead of under the jail like he should be.
He doesn't want to face the consequences of his actions and I'm willing to bet that Enty's made an excellent call on the douchebag's motives.
A "reconciliation" picture would be priceless (and utterly worthless)

  3. Douchebag YES...he is! I say however, let him get a picture with her...if the charge is dropped down to a do not annoy...HOW ridiculous... then wouldn't he be breaking that order which would result in a jail term?

  4. Did you all see last week he painted a picture of a pig wearing a wife beater and was showing it off on the street. Self-portrait much?

  5. Yep, he's a douche. And douches don't change. He probably thinks all this is Rihanna'a fault. If she hadn't acted out, he wouldn't have had to beat her down. Scumbag.

  6. I would love it people threatned to cancel if he shows. That would be great.

  7. i read somewhere that the judge said he wouldnt do anything without consulting rhianna first.

but that kind of sucks because if the judge doesnt drop the restraing order i feel like people will say, oh she needs to get over it.

and if she says its fine, i feel like people will say she is not taking a hard enough stance on domestic violence.

    thoughts on this?

  8. I agree, moxy. She can't win. I believe last year she said she would be fine with it being lifted, and that's pretty much what happened. You can't blame the girl for wanting to get on with her life, and his fans are CRAZY anti-Rihanna.

  9. I think Enty's last comment hits the nail on the head; this is part of a longer-range campaign to rehab Brown's reputation. The judge mustn't give in.

  10. I think a picture of them together would seriously damage her career.

  11. I don't think he learned one lesson from what he did. All he cares about his is loss of fame and fortune. Not that he beat the shit out of his girlfriends face.

Lifting the order will send a bad message to all abusers out there. Picking up garbage on the side of the road does not make all forgiven in my eyes.

  12. I feel bad for the guy. He paid his dues, and as an artist some bs like this shouldnt keep him from the awards.

  13. Agree that this kid is a complete douchebag, but I think the final call on his attendance, should be up to Rihanna. I'd be interested to hear her reaction.

  14. I did read a recent quote where Rihanna said she was 'embarrassed' that she got back with him for a minute after the beating.

I wish the judge would keep him away. And if the Grammy's let him perform (on the same stage as Rihanna!) I will be seriously disappointed.

  15. He is up for awards? Seriously???

  16. Moxy makes a very good point. Rihanna is damned if she does/damned if she doesn't situation if the judge leaves it up to her to decide.

That being said, whatever the douchebags motives are, Rihanna would probably come out seeming the better person if she said yes, and just made sure her people kept him far far away from her that night.

@audieh_1, I don't know if Brown is up for any awards, but right now he has the number one song on my local radio station. Not a bad song, and it seems the public is either willing to forgive him, or have totally forgotten what he did. It was two years ago and the public has a short memory span.

  17. I don't think the public has a short memory span. The boy (and that's exactly what he was when he did this)made a stupid, immature, mistake and to somehow imply that the stupidity you exhibit as a kid stays with you as an adult is foolish.

Granted, it stayed with Charlie Sheen through all his gun shots, knifes to the neck and hotel trashings, but noone certainly seems to be holding any of that against him and his doucheness is a constant stream like the Niagara Falls. If people can get over Charlie, they really should move the hell on and let Chris Brown and Rihanna get on with their lives.

I don't recall anyone ever saying anything remotely like this after Ryan O'neal beat the living hell out of Farrah and implying he got back with her when she was sick to seem like the good guy and get publicity. But he did beat the living shit out of her!

  18. Rihanna will agree to lifting the order. Is she romanticizing domestic violence with her song with Eminem? Well, she and Eminem will want to sing it in front of Chris Brown whatever the case. Watch.

  19. Chris Brown was NOT a boy when he beat Rihanna; he was 20 years old. Old enough to serve our country in the military, old enough to be tried as an adult. Old enough to pay taxes, old enough to own multiple houses, cars, etc. He may have been young man but in the eyes of society and the law, he was a man.

And, let's not include Charlie Sheen in this conversation and compare it to him; he too should be in prison and the fact he isn't is a testament to socio-economic class issues in our country.

But it is not a decision-factor for determining if this young man should appear on an award show. In my opinion, the judge should not lift the restraining order. If the judge does then the Grammy's better not let him play. If they do, I'll be voicing my opinion by boycotting the show, writing advertisers who advertise during it.

And by the way, I do the same thing against Charlie Sheen.

  20. Beating the crap out of your girlfriend isn't a mistake--it is domestic violence.
