Ashley Parker Angel Has A Feature Film
Whenever a spokesperson starts blathering on about some kind of feature film, then you know the film is probably some direct to video thing. Think Audrina Patridge when she made her big screen debut. What was it again? Blue Crush 2? Did anyone see Blue Crush? Yeah, so that was a feature film. Anyway, as you may have heard, but could probably give a hoot about, O-Town is getting back together. Not on the same level as a Take That reunion or an N'Sync reunion. Hell, if that happened, the entire world would hear Lance Bass scream in orgasm. But, to those who watched the first season of Making The Band and remember fondly the child molesting stares of Lou Pearlman as he watched his boys dance for him, it might be something to at least register on your meter.
If you were hoping for Ashley Parker Angel to join the band though, you will be waiting and waiting. His spokesperson said that Ashley has moved on to a different chapter of his life. You know, the one where he had a failed reality show, can't get anyone to buy his music and is appearing sometimes on Broadway. Oh, and that feature film. O-Town is in my top 5 worst songs ever performed on live television for their performance during Miss America. Remember that when you are debating whether to see them in concert at your local 4H club or nursing home this summer.
TMZ outed one of the singers as waiter in LA now. They said he would earn more money in tips serving food then he would with the O-Town reunion.
ReplyDeleteI remember this show, whole thing was creepy and the boys acted like little brats having no clue their 15 minutes were soon to be over.
The only thing I remember about this show (other than the creepy-looking Lou Perlman) is that guy named "Ikaika". I thought he had the coolest name, but I can't remember if it was pronounced "ika-ika" or "ikay-ika". He voluntarily left the group.
ReplyDelete--embarassed to admit watching this show
Wait, what? Who? Oh, never mind.
ReplyDeleteNever paid any attention to O-Town.
ReplyDeleteBut since you mention it, the whole Take That reunion is just amaaazing. Such a great story. I feel bad for NKOTBSB crew because they just can't compare. Zzz.
N*Sync reuniting might rise to Take That level...maybe. Probably would be big commercially but it wouldn't be as intriguing, would it? But Justin's not exactly at a Robbie Williams level of interesting/talented and they don't exactly have a Gary Barlow foil, do they?
And why at 31 am I interested in things I'd have scoffed at at 13-16? I just don't know...
i could of cared less about o-town (i was into the whole boyband , britney, trl mania) but if nsync reunited the 26 year old me would go to there concert loved them when i was 15, 16...loggin off now after i admitted that
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to admit I kind of still like their song "All or Nothing At All". And I had a major crush on one of the boys (Trevor? I think) because of the way he interacted with his dad.
ReplyDeleteBut I am not interested in the reunion at all. Let it rest.
I like the one on the left, with his thoughtful Olan-Millsesque chin prop.
ReplyDeleteI just Googled their 2 hit songs. Gave me the giggles. Ah, boy bands.
I never seen this before enty thanks! & the title "liquid dreams" is pretty gross.
