Never Read An Angelina Jolie Story Before Sleeping

Last night, I was reading stories and thinking about things to write today when I came upon a missive from Dr. Drew who said that Brad Pitt an Angelina Jolie were going to have a spectacular breakup and that Angelina is a heroin addict and is not in recovery which means she still must be using.

The next thing you know, I am trying to have a restful sleep with dreams of free tequila when look who comes into my dreams but Angelina with a syringe and a heroin habit. Yep, not only does Dr. Drew think she still has the monkey on her back, but there she was, just shooting away in my dream. Mine. I didn't want her there, but she just would not leave. Oh, and she also hides her needles in the cookie jar. Don't ask me why. I would not be shocked if she still used in between pregnancies. I give her enough credit where she probably can manage to stay off during those. She has looked rough lately, but she looked ok in the dream.

  1. How the heck would he know?

  2. He's playing the odds. Sure it's theoretically possible she could quit cold turkey by herself, but it's highly unlikely.

  3. Dr. Drew issued an official apology today that he should have kept his big mouth shut and minded his own business about someone he has never even met. Not that I'm a big fan of AJ or anything.

But what is it with counselors who are supposed to be "anonymous" running their mouths to the media about people's drug problems? Dr. Drew should hang out with Lindsey Lohan's counselor. She's another one running her mouth.

How can people, especially celebrities, ever expect to get clean if they can't trust the people that are supposed to be helping them?

  4. I absolutely could believe it but c'mon. I can't believe how much I used to like Dr. Drew when he was only on the radio. He doesn't know her or treat her, which outing her would make it worse, so I don't know why he throws out these random celebs.

  5. Does she have an eating disorder ? Yes...Does she use the press ? Yes...Remember the shopping cart with fruit and fish in France...that was a photo op...I couldn't feed myself on that, let alone 2 adults and 6 children....Do I like her ? No...but this takes it to another level...and yes he should have kept his mouth shut.

  6. You don't get twins like that without some seriously altered DNA. Bet on it! So just how did that happen? Why is Brad now so against more children? This all seems like a logical explanation. I've read some stories from folks who were on sets with her. She's not the angel she portrays in public, that's for sure. I wouldn't want my kids in her care.

  7. As a professional, it was not his place to comment based on pure speculation. If she were a patient of his, he would be bound by confidentiality. He could discuss public behavior but that's about it.

  8. I had the weirdest dream involving Cameron Diaz last week. She and I were bestest friends. I woke up thinking, WTF?

And I wonder how Dr. Drew knew Ryan Reynolds "for a long time." Do they socialize at parties?

Dr. Drew has no credibility anymore.

  9. Dr. Drew is his own cottage industry now with his radio and TV shows and books. I think he needs to read his own book on narcissism to see if he hasn't picked up some traits along the way to celebrityhood. And he can drink a big cup of hot STFU while doing so. I've never treated Dr. Drew but from outward appearances he has a god complex. See how easy that is to diagnose someone you've never met?

  10. I used to be a fan of Dr. Drew but as his celebrity has increased he's just put himself out there for publicity -- he's become a famewhore. He does make a point if Angie did admit to being a heroin addict because once and addict always an addict - you can't turn a switch and make someone not an addict anymore. If she did have a problem then you can't just say I don't do it anymore so I'm not an addict. Speaking as someone w alcohol addiction, I will always be an alcoholic, albeit one in recovery (if I stay stopped).

  11. she never said she was a herion addict. she said she'd tried it and it 'fascinated her'

Angelina Jolie was quoted in 1998 as saying, "I hate heroin because I've been fascinated by it. I'm not immune, but I won't do it now, at all."

NEVER SAID SHE WAS ADDICTED to it....sorry but it irks me. I'm not a fan but geez this is like an urban legend.

I've had friends who've tried all sorts of drugs...then walked away from them all and never did them again.

  12. what is with dreaming about celebs monday night i dreamt christina aguilera commited suicide i woke up like wtf ....i think we all can agree SOMETHING is up with brad and angelina

  13. _-_=_

So your saying what...? The twins were IVF, are they healthy, well that's another story and probably why Brad doesn't want more...they can barely care for the kids they already have.

  14. I love it when Angelina fans jump to her defense and site examples of what she's "said". Please- look at her. Follow what she's looked like over the years. Listen to some of her whacked out interviews. Not all heroin users are dirty bums in the street. Some of them function quite well, they just have the same vaccant, strung out look Angelina sports. There have been enough reports from dealers and past aquaintences that make me believe she's still using.

  15. KCqueen, AJ has both fans and foes here. Dr Drew needs to shut up and I hope his new HLN show fails.

BTW, I do believe that AJ and Robert Downey are not 100% clean and sober. But that's just me.

  16. And is the so called dream from the blogger in same way confirmation for heroin mom? I just can't see Halle as her.

  17. between your dream, dr. drew's 'taken out of context'stance, i wanna hear what mk @ dlisted has to say. hopefully it's something good like referring to the better ford lady "who may or may not be a missing Pointer Sister".

  18. We know those twins aren't healthy. And I have to agree that there are too many dealers and other folks talking. Dr. Drew is not far off the mark.

  19. Very very glad he's apologized. He was WAY out of line. He doesn't know her from Adam and agree with Canadachick - she never admitted to being an addict. I know more than one person who have tried heroin and never turned into an addict.
    STFU you ratings whore.

  20. First- he's not her Dr. he has no patient-Doctor agreement with her, so he is not violating anything except good taste.

Second-despite his famewhoring ways,he is a very knowledgeable Dr. on the issue.

Third- no one quits heroin cold turkey and anyone who says they do is a fucking LIAR. heroin is not a drug you dabble with on the weekends.

Fourth- she m ay not be on heroin, but there is something amiss with Angie, gaunt face, pale and skinnier than Kate Bosworth on slimfast? ANO or pills.

  21. What now about the twins? I tune most everything about this family out because half is lies and the other half is them lying.

  22. My bff's sister took methadone through her pregnancy, her daughter has developmental delays. I am not positive that they are related, but my guess is they are. AJ could have had a similar situation, only speculating.

Dr. Drew said all kinds of stuff about LL, and I think he was accurate. Fortunately nobody lost any limbs, but I think he was right about her level of addiction.

It may not be professional of him to speak out against these celebrities, but neither is glorifying unnatural and unhealthy behavior, weight and lifestyles.

  23. Heroin addicts don't become strung out until they run out of heroin. Like someone pointed out, you can be a heroin addict and function quite well, but if you try to quit, that's when Trainspotting happens.

If you have money and a steady flow, there's no doubt in my mind that you could keep going for a very long time without anyone knowing.

  24. HAVING SAID THAT....I don't know if AJ is on heroin, but she doesn't look well in these pictures. But, then again, I don't look half that good when I have a bad cold and took a ton of DayQuil to get through the day, you know?

  25. Even though I think Dr. Drew is a media whore, I do believe there is something not quite right with Angelina. During the Europe press for The Tourist, she appears completely out of it in all the pictures. Her pupils are huge and the weight loss is just too extreme to ignore. Angelina was never heavy, but she truly does look unhealthy.

  26. I think he's trying to promote his new show, but I don't think he would have said this if he didn't think it were possible.

  27. I know a few people who have quit heroin cold turkey. It works if you want it to--just like giving up nicotine. It's been over 8 years and I still want a smoke everyday. I just work through it--no difference for a former junkie.

  28. It is not impossible to give up drugs after being addicted. I have a friend who blew thousands of dollars on cocaine, selling his car to buy more. He got lucky that no one searched his car when he went over the border into Canada or he would still be in jail. After a while, his life got better and he didn't feel the need to abuse anymore, gave it up cold turkey and doesn't abuse any other substance. I had a substantial alcohol for years because I was unhappy and I gave it up when I changed my life for the better. It does happen that way, but it's rare.
When my friend was working on his MSW, he did his internship at a rehab facility. His boss was a recovered alcoholic, had some great stories about drinking with Rod Serling and another about a black out where he started out in New York. When he woke up, he asked where he was and he had driven thousands of miles and was in Florida.
One day, he asked my friend what his addiction was and he told him about his cocaine addiction but he didn't feel like using anymore. His boss responded, "I hate people like you."

  29. I think Dr. Drew is referring to once an addict always an addict. There is a difference between being "sober" and being "in recovery." Sober means you aren't using. In Recovery means you aren't using AND actively working a program (12 step meetings, therapy, etc.).

    ReplyDelete
  30. Good distinction between sober and in recovery. Thing is, most people in the addiction industry believe there is no such thing as someone who becomes sober without treatment. As much as I would like to punch Jolie in the face (she's just so damn smug), I think she could have used heroin and quit when she no longer felt like using. However, I agree with most of the posters that think Dr. Drew is mostly a fame whore. Drew, what happened?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I've never read she said she was a drug addict, only that she tried drugs. I'm surprised he came out & said that about her since everyone else seems to make her into somewhat of a Mother Teresa. He's getting a new show...maybe trying to drum up publicity?

    ReplyDelete
  32. "Dr." Drew has turned into nothing but a famewhore. He doesn't like helping people, he likes being filmed helping people. I wouldn't go to him even if his services were free. He ought to be ashamed to even call himself a doctor.

I wouldn't be surprised if something funny's going on with Angelina Jolie-but I sure wouldn't take Dr. Drew's word for it!

    ReplyDelete
  33. While I personally think that Angelina is a drug addict and that the twins are somewhat developmentally delayed, I also think Dr. Drew was out of line. Who is he to say this about someone? He's not treating Angelina, nor has he ever treated her. (He'd be breaking all kinds of privacy laws if he had treated her and said this.) His theories on Angelina is no more valid than mine. And that's no validity at all. I think she's a regular user, and I think she used during the twins' pregnancy. I also think she's one of those "I'm so superior to ordinary people. Drugs don't hurt me, they enhance me." addicts. One of those who think drugs stimulate them intellectually or creatively. Her kids will have interesting stories to tell one day.

  34. I guess I'm not paying close attention, but where did anyone get the impression there's anything wrong with their twins? All this speculation about them is nuts to me.

  35. Selock - please review all pictures and get back to us.

  36. If you're referring to the Enquirer saying they have Down Syndrome, you must have never had contact with anyone with the condition. They look pretty normal to me. Needling kids about their looks and/or intellectual capacity is pretty lame...is the idea to feel some satisfaction that AJ did drugs during pregnancy and messed them up? Seems kind of pointless......

  37. Totally agree, Selock.
