Beer Model Ends Up Dead At Busch House
The former CEO of Anheuser-Busch has some explaining to do. Apparently on Sunday afternoon, the body of a 27 year old self professed art therapist, and wannabe beer model was found dead at the home of August Busch IV. This has all kinds of tawdry written all over it. The police were called to the home by a 911 call which said the woman was unresponsive. It turns out the mother of an 8 year old son, was actually already dead and police are investigating it as a possible overdose.
The woman, Adrienne Martin (pictured above in the most modest photo I could find), was previously married when she was 19 years old to a 45 year old man. Well, that was probably love. Busch's most recent marriage lasted about two years until he and Adrienne started seeing each other. It was at that same time Adrienne left her husband. This is not the first time Busch has had some explaining to do. In an episode that happened a long time ago and would have sent each of us to jail for a very long time, Busch left a bar with a woman, crashed his corvette into a tree which killed the woman. Busch left the scene and police found him at his home where he said he had amnesia. After a 7 month investigation, police decided not to file any charges. Yeah, think about if any of that would have worked for us.
Oh, and could someone tell me what an art therapist is?
may the truth come out. art is used in therapy. however, she may have moonlighted in other salacious professions.
ReplyDeletethe city was tucson, the bar was bobby mcgee's, the road was river but there was no tree. he flipped his vette on a curve. the woman's family sued the county over road design and scored big bucks. locals got to pay and lost a great segment of road to drive. thanks, augie!
ReplyDeleteThe poor man seems to cause a lot of bad luck. This, too, will go away. Sad for Ms. Martin.
ReplyDeleteAn art therapist helps others express themselves or heal mentally through the use of art, e.g., children with traumatic experiences given art supplies for play and expression, guided by a therapist.
Enty I hope your New Year's resolution is to be less cynical. You copied most of the story running in the media, but in that first incident from years ago, you somehow left out that he actually had a fractured skull. That's a pretty big detail to just leave off. I'm sure it was just to give your subtle suggestion that he was faking amnesia a boost, but still.
ReplyDeleteThis would be someone to avoid ladies.
ReplyDeletewhether the amnesia was faked or not, it is the fact that he basically got away with vehicular homicide that is disturbing to me. i agree that if it had been anyone else(with out deep pockets and a well known family name) we would most likely be plopped in jail and nailed with fines and lawsuits up the wazoo. i feel bad for Ms. Martins 8 year old son. i have an 8 year old daughter, and i can't imagine how such a thing would affect her :(
ReplyDeleteHe must have Ted Kennedy's lawyer. He'll skate again. No doubt.
ReplyDeleteall due respect to the regulars (i'm only a very occasional poster) but a fractured skull would have occured AFTER the accident or during, and it really doesn't excuse it. I agree with Enty, if that had been joe blow on the street he would have been in jail for a long time for that one. (if I missed the reason the court let him off for vehicular homicide bap me with something! if y'all celebrate christmas have a merry. or have a merry anyway....)
ReplyDeletean art therapist is someone who has studied psychology and art education. so basically art therapy is a method of getting traumatized, depressed, grieving, etc. people to learn art so as to work through their problems and heal.
ReplyDeleteart is quite therapeutic and is an excellent way to work through some of life's problems. art therapy is kind of an older concept though, as now it is used in conjunction with other kinds of therapies and is part of the larger conglomeration of psychology.
it sounds funny, but it is a serious profession.
looserdude brought back some memories, of Ted Kennedy so disoriented by driving his car off the Chappaquidick Bridge he left Mary Jo Kopechne in the car and didn't report the accident and only showed up at the police station to make a statement after the body had been discovered some 13 hours later. His sentence? Two months, suspended.
ReplyDeleteI'm a lifelong St. Louisan. The Busch family are truly creeps, the Kennedys of Missouri, if you will.
ReplyDeleteYou neglected to mention he also hired the attorney who's representing Chris Coleman, the guy who worked for Joyce Meyers Ministry who murdered his wife and kids. Telling that he hires an attorney well known for defending men who murder women. Combine that with his past issues with accidentally killing defenseless women and an interesting picture begins to emerge. Granted, she sounds like a gold digging coke head but she doesn't deserve to die for it.
People are talking about it here in STL. Especially this part: "Frontenac police, who responded to the scene Sunday, did not disclose the death until Thursday afternoon — four days after it occurred and hours after the Post-Dispatch first reported it on its STLtoday.com website."
ReplyDeleteThere have been lots of people commenting on that article to say this man has a history of drug use. There's even a theory as to WHY the Busch family sold to InBev.
Jessica, I agree with you about the whole "less cynical" resolution for Enty.
ReplyDeleteA remark like, "Well, that was probably love" is the remark of someone who clearly hasn't got a clue what love is. More than one member of my immediate family (including a brother and an uncle) as well as several close friends are happily married/de-facto to partners decades younger than them. My brother met his wife when she was 18 and he 37. They've been together fifteen years.
So there.
Wow. She sounds like a gold digging coke head? Ouch.
