Uma Thurman's Stalker Is Back
Some stalkers freak me out way more than others. The Jennifer Garner stalker is one that pops to mind. Oh, and that guy who had the knife next to Ryan Seacrest. Oh, and that gymnast who was on Dancing With The Stars. Anyway, Uma has had a stalker for a long time. Back in 2008 he was convicted of stalking Uma and was sentenced to five years of probation.
At the time he said he didn't know he was upsetting Uma and that he would have stopped if people had told him. Uh huh. Well, he has had his chance to show that, but apparently some magical force must have told him to start bugging her again because as recently as this weekend he called her office twice and her personal cell phone twice. How did he get her phone number? Seems like the FBI should be called. Anyway, he asked for Uma all four times and demanded to know why Uma was not speaking to him.
Uma says she is freaked out by the guy and I have to agree.
Jesus someone needs to lock this man up. Stalkers are freaking scary, cause u never know when they are gonna pop up. He should be locked away this time or this might turn into a tragic situation, like Rebecca Schaffer from My Sister Sam.
ReplyDeleteThat is so scary that he is able to get her personal cell phone number. She never knows when if guy can run up to her and especially with her kids. We all know the extremes a stalker would go to get an actresses' attention. Case in point John Hinckley Jr and Jodie Foster.
ReplyDeleteI thought because of Rebecca Schaffer there was a law when it came to stalkers.
ReplyDeleteHe is violating his probation. Doesn't that mean jail time?
ReplyDeleteThat's the worst. That's got to be the worst thing about being famous. The nut cases who really think they know you. I hope he goes to jail.
ReplyDeleteThe Rebecca Schaeffer law was in California and about restricting access to driver's license information (how her stalker got her address). Unfortunately, most home address information is now easy to come by on the internet.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a probation violation if he is still on probation. Each state has different stalking laws, but they have to be carefully tailored so as not to violate the first amendment.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that we are hearing about this in the context of a probation violation proceeding because calling someone up on their phone and asking for them would *normally* not otherwise illegal.
Seems like a parole violation. He was convicted in 2008 and the 5 years probation would only be ending in 2013.
ReplyDeleteI'd get a cross-state conceal/carry license if it were me. They must exist for celebrity-types. hell if a 7-foot goon can travel with a celeb 24/7 carrying, why can't the celeb themselves? Sounds pretty reasonable to me.
ReplyDeletePlus she likely towers over this guy, has a much longer reach and is far more agile.
Was he violent or escalating that way?
Poor Uma, that stinks. That must be so scary, worrying about yourself and your kids safety.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing scarier than having a stalker. :( Poor Uma, indeed. Lock him up and throw away the key please!
ReplyDeleteWhat is that next to the picture of him?
