Taylor Momsen Blames Her Parents For Everything

I don't know where Starpulse got their quote, but apparently Taylor Momsen gave an interview and in the interview she blames her parents for the fact that she is so miserable and messed up and that she can't ride a bicycle. No, not the last part, but I wonder if she can.

"Everyone's like, 'Wow, why is she upset and why is she so miserable about things?' My parents signed me up with Ford (modeling agency) at the age of two. No two year old wants to be working, but I had no choice. My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn't have friends. I was working constantly and I didn't have a real life."

Well, now that she is old enough to do something about it, you would think if she hates it so much she would stop. But, she won't because she likes the attention and the fame and the money. She does bring up a good point though. Parents too often live the lives they wanted through their children. I really miss that show Stage Parents or whatever it was called. Those people were relentless in pushing their kids.

  1. Attention Whore. If she hates it so much than she should have spoke up years ago. I doubt her parents force her since they don't seem to have any control over her.

  2. I hate people like this, SOOOO many out of work actors would kill to be in the spotlight and the few that are, are so whiny, pompous, arrogant, self entitled, ARRRGHHHH, How they forget what it felt like to be "undiscovered"

  3. I dislike a lot of people in this crazy world, but it floors me to no end when people hate on kids. Of course she's annoying & seeks attention, but my goodness, she's a kid! Stop being so self-righteous.. you act like you've never seen a 17 year old acting like an idiot!

  4. I don't think the pronouncements of this girl should be treated as if they came from an adult. Sounds like she needs a nap.

  5. She's beyond annoying. I wouldn't compare her behavior to that of a traditionally moody, self centered teen.

  6. She's just being Miley! I mean, Taylor. But not that other one... Oh whatever.

I can't really stomach this girl (remembering my own teen years I can't help but think most adolescent girls would probably benefit from being institutionalized) but at least it beats endless dishonesty...and rehab, I suppose.

Kind of refreshing in light of Demi, another one whose career began as a toddler.

  7. Still love her. I'm glad she causes people to wonder. She's probably the one that isn't doing drugs or being promiscuous. Seriously.

  8. ^^^ you may be right - doing drugs and being promiscuous is expected of her, she doesn't follow the rules. Plus she talks about sex way too much.

  9. You have until your early 20's to blame your parents. After that you are on your own. Seriously people, it doesn't matter how much she pretends to be a grown up, at her core she is a fucked up 17 year old with no real parents (only people who wanted to be famous and instead live through their daughter) who now has money and access to drugs. Every girl I knew @ 17 had all kinds of insecurities and problems and 90% of them came from good families. Point being with good parenting you get Dakota Fanning, Christian Bale, Scott Baio, Jerry O'Connell, Jodi Foster, Ron Howard. Bad parents lead to awful people with money and access to microphones.

  10. Like him (used to be obsessed with him), but Christian Bale most certainly did NOT have "good" parents!

  11. Wah, wah, wah.

Will someone just tell this whiny twit that the raccoon eyes and stockings are getting old?

    Thank you.

  12. @Selock

You beat me to it except I was going to be a hell of a lot more snarky about it.

Since everybody is suing everybody. She should sue her parents and get it over with.

  15. Ok, so her parents weren't very good. She's old enough to take charge of her own life, which apparently she has. So no more blaming mom & dad. I'm sure she has encountered other adults who are good role models. She's not clueless.

  16. She HAS parents?!?

    ;)

  17. Lol @ Selock re: Miley. Good one.

I'm no fan of Taylors, but I kind of appreciate that she has called her parents out on this one. Makes me wonder if her current "look" isn't somewhat targeted to hurt them.

  18. I agree with you RQ, but I think a lot of us acted out at 17 - not just the ones with bad parents... I am just speaking from my own experience here, but I said and did some stupid sh** when I was that age, and I wasnt trying to hurt my parents, just provoke other grown ups!

I dont dislike her because of statements like that, but rather because she seems to be impossible to work with.

  19. i'm having a little trouble with some of these comments.

lindsay lohan is a grown woman but gets a lot of sympathy here because of her shitty parents. 'oh, poor lindsay. what can you expect with parents like that?' blah blah blah.

but THIS kid, who is actually a KID---legally and every other way---gets slammed for talking like.....well, a KID.

i don't get it. give her some time.

  20. Agree, linnea - I acted out, too, but not to this extent. First of all, as a minor, I wouldn't have been ALLOWED to dress the way she does, "acting out" or not. And speaking in public about vibrators and trashing other people? Where ARE her parents?

  21. ..and that she can't ride a bicycle. HAHA!!

Well, I think does have a point about her parents with the modeling bit. But yes, as most of you have echoed, she could retreat from the limelight and live a normal life.

What the hell is Star Pulse?

  22. I won't hate on her. She's 17.
Gosh knows I was no prize at that age either. I am waiting for the one defining moment when she is an adult and she sees a picture of herself at 17 and reads a few chosen quotes and figures out for herself what a pain in the ass she was.

  23. I agree with her. She shouldn't have been working her whole childhood, and it probably has a lot to do with her anger.

  24. Her mother looks like a total monster. I'm sure she's supporting the whole family, so there's a lot of pressure on her not to quit. I bet she made some kind of deal that if she stays on the show, she gets to have her band. Yes, she's ridiculously immature, but if she doesn't kill herself with drugs she may grow out of it. Of course, I said that about Lindsay back in the day...

  25. I think all of us look back at ourselves at 17 mortified at the way we dressed, treated our families, acted with our friends and toward society in general, and this kid is (hopefully) no exception.
That being said, where does she find the ugly trolls she hangs out with? This one's worse than the last one!
