Tonight in London was the Harry Potter premiere.
Emma Watson looks great.
Lots and lots of people came out to see.
Rupert Grint meeting the people.
It's Ginny Weasley. Does anyone else feel Harry has better chemistry on screen with Luna?
Lisa Marie Presley. Really?
The author, JK and her husband.
Daniel Radcliffe.
My favorite, Helena Bonham Carter.
Tom Felton
I cannot wait for the 19th to see HP. I'm getting shivers thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree that he has better chemistry with Luna.
ReplyDeleteThe Potter kids have grown up...adorable...
ReplyDeleteDoes any one else remember Helena Bohnam Carter's first Academy Award
show.. after A Room With A View ...that black dress, I loved it...she has always marched to a different drum.
eeep...poor lisa marie...she was so lovely pre-gazillion surgeries.
ReplyDeletehelena bc's brand of crazy is awesome there.
@Misch - I loved HBC in "A Room with a View".
ReplyDeleteThe entire Harry Potter series was almost perfectly cast except for Ginnie Weasley. Shame. I think they cast it before they knew she was going to be Harry's love interest.
After the disaster that was "The Half Blood Prince" I am weary of what this movie will offer. I hope unlike THBP, this one is true to the book.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Helena's style sense. She always has such a victorian-cool vibe about her.
ReplyDeleteTom Felton looks like a young David Niven in that pic (a compliment, if you ask me). I'm really a fan of his on-screen dad, Jason Isaacs.
"It's Ginny Weasley. Does anyone else feel Harry has better chemistry on screen with Luna?"
ReplyDeleteYES! In the books, too. But Bonnie Wright makes everything SO awkward between Ginny and Harry!
I think Luna is the sister HP never had. He's very tender with her, but not in a romantic way. As far as the Ginny Weasley romance, I think it was just easy, and typical for a "kids" book, to do that. So long as he didn't end up with Cho I didn't care.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you guys above. Harry should have been with Luna. I don't think Hermione and Ron Weasley work either. What does she see in him?
ReplyDeleteYes, I am also wary of this film even though I am dying to see it. I think its the same director as Half Blood Prince, and that movie had the most changes from the books if I remember correctly.
ReplyDeleteAlways love Harry Potter photos. It's fun seeing the kids all grown up.
ReplyDeleteTom Felton rivals that Lady Antebellum guy for peanut heads!
ReplyDeleteI love Emma's dress. There's been torrential rain all over the UK for the last 3 days though so i bet she was freezing :D
ReplyDeleteI have an insane girl crush on Helena <3
I t has always bugged the shit out of me that they made Harry such a cool kid in the movies. The books always refer to him having a lock of hair sticking up wildly. They can spend millions of dollars on special effects, but no one can grab some hair gel, and make his hair stick up?
ReplyDeleteHermione is not supposed to be very pretty either. This is why I stick to the books.
Cannot wait for the movie. Love the books and the movies. I love to share them with my son.
ReplyDeleteforget Luna, she's a nutjob....Cho was where it was at for Harry!it got screwed up when Cedric died.
ReplyDeletehim and Ginny are awful,he has better chemistry with Hagrid.
Tom Felton and Emma Watson have both really changed from Draco and Hermione. Can see both having good careers.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, never really cared for the chemistry between the onscreen Harry and Ginny. Thought they worked in the books though. Same with Ron and Hermione.
I love Emma Watson's new do. She looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLisa is looking a lot like her mom in that photo there (before the plastic surgery disaster).
I love Helena Bonham Carter, but I thought she was LaToya. Not good!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for HP next week! But where oh where is Professor Snape/Alan Rickman photos, truly one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes at one time I thought the books were going towards a Luna and Harry pairing.
I just came from Harry Potter Land at Universal. Overwhelming, to say the least. And the ride is so, so WILD that if I had not gotten off I would have thrown up. And I am a roller coaster girl. Honeydukes was disappointing; that candy shop I was most wanting to see. But Ollivander's was awesome. They do a demonstration and select two people to be selected for a wand. My daughter and her friend were selected. Pretty freaking cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd butterbeer is frozen cream soda-ish.
@mngddess - I'm SO jealous!! I went to Orlando a few months ago with friends but no one wanted to go to Universal! I was so disappointed. I am going to have to make a special trip back so I can go to the park.
ReplyDeleteEmma Watson looks gorgeous as always!
I wanted Hermione & Harry to get together, until I realized she really liked Ron. In the end, it was ok that she ended up with Ron.
I didn't really like Ginny in the last couple books. I know Ginny always had a crush on Harry and all that jazz but I just never saw the love connection in the books, let alone the movies.
Wow Emma Watson looks incredible. All other teenage girls in Hollywood take note: she's doing it RIGHT and knocking it out of the park every time. Love her.
ReplyDeleteRupert Grint always looks so happy, like, Can you believe this is my life?! It's very cute and refreshing.
Wow, Rupert Grint is actually in a suit for once, I think that's a first for these premiers, he looks good!
ReplyDeleteI adore the movies, for the most part, although the fifth one was a disappointment, but the books will always reign supreme in my mind.
I never got past the first Harry Potter book and movie - too boring. I know, blasphemous!
ReplyDeleteLove Helena Bonham Carter's dress.
Yeah, Felton looks so different. He is a cutie in real life! Did you see him in Get him to the Greek?
ReplyDeleteCan´t WAIT to see the movie!
Emma Watson is drop-dead gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to say that Tom Felton looks nothing like Malfoy and for that I'm grateful as I would be worried for him being stuck in that role forever (a role he was amazing in but nevertheless...).
Mango--what's wrong with you? :-D Oh well--if I hadn't had a kid, I probably would not have read them either.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I hope the best for these kids and their future. And I agree, Harry and Luna had MUCH better chemistry on film and in the books.
