Back when Kristen Bell was filming one of the greatest movies of all time, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Russell Brand was single. Of course this meant that Russell Brand had to try and make a move on Kristen. He did proposition her, but Kristen says, "I made it really clear from the beginning that I would sock him in the balls if he tried anything,’ she says. ‘So he was intimidated, truth be told."
Apparently that was good enough and he never tried anything. In her interview with The Daily Mail, she also talks about the first time she met Russell and some of her impressions of him.
"There’s a secret Russell that he doesn’t show many people — one that’s really kind and considerate. True, he did say he found me repulsive and grotesque, but he realised saying stuff like that just got my funny bone. He’s a really sweet boy underneath that wig."
Interesting. You think it is a wig?

ReplyDeleteI think Russell Brand is super unattractive and skeevy. He actually looks like a serial killer. I have no idea how he got women to sleep with him, and the fact that he attempts to belittle the women who reject him just makes him more disgusting in my book.

ReplyDeleteWhat rumors? I get SO MAD at myself when gossip-y items seem to slip by me. I pride myself with spending hours on end perusing many gossip sites so I can be all knowing, so when something is referenced and I don't know about it I view it as an EPIC FAIL on my part. ugh.

ReplyDeleteI gotta say, when I see Brand in pictures, it doesn't do much for me. But I find myself unexplicably attracted to him when I watch him act. He really IS rather good, funny and clever. He was great in both Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek. Really good.

ReplyDeleteI have been told by two women of average weight and height ( short and squaty by hollywood standards) who met Russell Brand that he was the kindest, most complementary, and one of the most charasmatic men they ever met. They met him on separate occassions and at times there was not press or cameras to force him to be nice. One met him at the gym and the other in a bookstore,when he was shopping. My friend X said after talking to him for over an hour, she gets it...she knows how he gets the girls. Probably the charm like Bill Clinton had. I met Clinton at a campaign rally, and he really does make you feel like the most beautiful woman in the room.

ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way about RB. In pix he always looks like a crazy person, but in his movies I find him really really attractive.
I'm about the only one here I guess that actually likes Katy and hope they have a long and happy marriage. I sure hope he's not Ted's latest blind about the newly married man already cheating!
I agree with Rocket Queen too. I used to see him with different women and get grossed out. Then I saw Get Him To The Greek and found him charming and fascinating....

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say he was sexy but he had an aura about him. He did go on and on about lusting after Mila Kunis and detesting Mac Kulkin being around so much on set for Sarah Marshall.
