Hiccup Girl Might Be Released To Her Parents

Hiccup Girl was in court yesterday for a bond hearing. She has been charged with first degree murder and has been held without bond since her arrest. During the hearing yesterday, Jennifer Mee, began crying and then started hiccuping. A lot. Almost the entire hearing. Mee's mom says that Jennifer has a learning disability, is illiterate and has the mental capacity of a 12 year old. Mee's attorney asked that Jennifer be released to her parents. Seriously?

She is charged with first degree murder. How can you let someone out on no bond to stay with her parents? She is 19 and an adult. Was she manipulated by the guys she was with? Maybe, but she is the one who allegedly lured the murder victim out of the house using her Hiccup Girl status to get him to meet.

I have a big problem letting her out on no bond.

  2. Enty, being a lawyer you should know better. Her attorney can ask for the moon. Doesn't mean she'll get it. The judge will grant his decision on Friday.

  3. At least it'll be easy to find Hiccup Girl if she skips town.

  4. Even 12 year olds know that killing is wrong.

  5. Please. She didn't seem like she had the mentality of a 12 year old when she was on the Today show.

  6. "mental deficiency"? - I read yesterday it was Tourettes. Sounds like they're trying to downplay her level of responsibility.

  7. Interesting that the hiccups magically returned. Trying to get people to remember your 15 mins of fame?

Hogwash, it was cold blood murder for profit. Keep them all without bail.

  8. Kate - Same exact thought went through my head, too.

  9. I know someone died at the hands of this girl...so I shouldn't laugh. But I did laugh at: she is the one who allegedly lured the murder victim out of the house using her Hiccup Girl status to get him to meet. Hiccup girl status. :)

I'm calling BS on the mental incapacity claims. Agree w/ Kate here.

  10. Hmm... wonder if her "learning disability" is what caused her to play the race card when orignally caught :-/

  11. I know of someone who was tried for murder and did some time--as he so rightfully deserved as he did it. His appeal used the learning disability/limited mental capacity line and he got let out of prison because he played it up so good he even had even his pretty lawyer fooled.

  12. I thought she was full of shit way back when she was on the Today Show. IIRC, she eventually got rid of the hiccups but they "mysteriously" returned when she was supposed to go back to school. Imagine that.
