$1M Reward For Laptop

I don't know what exactly is on Ryan Leslie's laptop, but to get it back he is willing to pay $1M for its safe return. On October 23rd, while touring in Germany, Leslie's laptop was stolen from his car. At first the singer offered $20,000 for its return but now according to his Twitter he has upped that to $1M.

"For the record, I had so many amazing music & visual projects on that MACBook that I was working on to share with u this winter."

So, if you have seen it, now is your chance to make an easy $1M. Of course Ryan also took the time to promote his music and his upcoming tour with the reward announcement.

  6. I doubt this ever happened. It's just a clever way to get some free publicity. I had never heard of him before, now he is all over the news, at least in Germany (where most of his concerts are going to take place). According to news reports, he simply forgot his laptop bag in his limo and it got lost - wouldn't you take some more care if it was worth $1M to you?

  7. i can't blame the guy...artists get really paranoid about the stuff on their laptops. i know on my end of the industry we carry around sensitive info...passport info, medical info, ss #s...along w/ the private tour/names/hotel info, along w/ early and non-mastered drafts and versions of lyrics and music...stuff not yet copyrighted, etc...we carry our external hard drives separate from our laptops in case one gets jacked. while i think $1M is high...it's obviously worth it to this guy. good luck to him. i hope the important stuff was encrypted and massively p/w protected.

  9. If this really did happen (which I doubt) like others, this is just a free publicity gag.

But, if it is true whoever returns that laptop will be arrested 5 minutes after it is returned. No way is anyone getting 1mil.

Like when the nice elderly couple found Giselle Bundchen's lost dog and returned it. She had them arrested and never gave them the reward.

    Classy, that Giselle.

  11. Ryan Leslie is an R&B artist/producer/writer. He had an album come out last year and he has written for many R&B acts over the years. I can understand why he would do it, if he has work that is going to be released on this laptop then he would definitely want it back.

  14. What happened with Hiselle(typo but it seems fitting)? Did the elderly not find her dog but instead steal it from her? Be grateful you got your dog back.

  15. Who is this guy? Rose, supposedly this couple found Giselle's dog and tried to claim the reward, unsucessfully. When they asked several times, she filed a report claiming they were harassing her. She is an entitled idiot.

  19. When I read "Ryan Leslie" I thought you were talking about the guy from the latest season of the Real World. I thought it was weird that he would have that kind of money...

I have also never heard of this Ryan Leslie.
