That's sad. :( I love his shows.
ReplyDeleteRIP....so sad. I grew up on his shows.
ReplyDeleteoh, how sad :( i LOVED The Commish! that was before Michael Chiklis got all full of himself, back when he was a lovable goof ball. and Great American Hero was my favorite show when i was a little girl, i was in love with Ralph.
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace, you were a visionary :)
Wiseguy invented modern television.
ReplyDeleteshows were great growing up..and i can totally remember him at the end of the shows at the typewriter and the falling paper...:(
ReplyDeleteI remember the falling paper too!And now I have the Rockford Files theme song playing in my head.
ReplyDelete"Wiseguy invented modern television." If it didn't it definitely got me watching TV :)
ReplyDeleteWhat show had Ben Vereen & Jeff Goldblum? I'm stumped on that one...
ReplyDeleteI love The Rockford Files still.
ReplyDelete@ jarriel - According to IMDB, the show with Ben Vereen and Jeff Goldblum was a 1980's show called Tenspeed and Brownshoe; "A con-man and a accountant-wanna-be private eye team up to fight crime." I'm thinking Goldblum must have played the PI, based on the raincoat in the pic.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, IMDB's new format sucks.
so many good ENTERTAINING shows
ReplyDeleteI purchased the Sonny Steelgrave arc of Wiseguy on DVD-seems like a good time to start the viewing party. Stephen J Cannell you will be missed.
ReplyDeleteWiseguy was facintating to me- loved Ken Wahl- what happened t him- didn't he marry a Barbi twin??
ReplyDeleteWho could forget the typewriter/paper tagline?
RIP Mr Cannell- thanks for the great boobtube!
it's all my teen years are over RIP
ReplyDeleteI only watched A Team & 21 Jumpstreet but regardless.....RIP
ReplyDeleteI grew up on his shows...and loved the reruns doing homework...ah...RIP
ReplyDeleteI can still sing the entire theme song to "Greatest American Hero". I see his involvement in "Silk Stalkings" has been overlooked! lol
ReplyDeleteI loved Wiseguy, The Rockford Files, and 21 Jump Street.
ReplyDeleteRIP Stephen.
