Sounds Like A Shakedown Of The Biebs

Justin Bieber was playing laser tag over the weekend. At some point he must have shaken his bodyguards and his hairspray team because according to witnesses, The Biebs was surrounded by a group of 12 year old kids who kept shouting something about wanting their two dollars. Plus tip. So, maybe that is how I was envisioning it. Instead it really was just a bunch of kids who were acting like kids and when the Biebs went to get out of it he touched one of the kids. That kid just happens to have a dad who is a lawyer so he called the cops and Justin is being investigated for assault and will probably be sued for millions of dollars or at least some free tickets to a couple of shows and some of that fabulous nail polish.

  1. According to several reports, the kid called Bieber the "f" word for gay. Love CDAN, but you don't always report all the facts, which kind of drives me batty.

    Ditto.

  3. Paperboy: TWO DOLLARS!

From the movie, 'Better Off Dead." Hilarious. John Cusack was great in that 1985 comedy.

At least, that's where I think Enty got the 'two dollars' reference.

  4. Bothers me for some reason that this happened here - I have always preferred to think that Canadians are far less litigious for stuff like this ;)

  5. Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

  6. So sad that he can't do something as kid-like as laser tag. Supposedly there are witnesses who heard the other kid call JB a bad word.

If it's true...good for the Biebs!

The father is a lawyer first and a Canadian second, so I don't think this can be as a slur on Canadians. Just a typical lawyer seeing a golden opportunity.

  8. True enough, Jenny :)

  9. Bieber is a notorious dick anyway to lots of people on a daily basis.

having said that- this is a total cash grab. money is tight and this was a golden opportunity for the kid/dad. dumb as f--k,but a bit inventive nonetheless.

I haven't heard anything about someone calling Bieber a f----t and i live here, but it would not surprise me. 12 yo BOYS aren't exactly Bieber's demographic.

  10. also wanted to add in JB defense..a friend of mine took his young son for guitar lessons in Regina this summer and JB walked in to look at instruments and he took a picture etc.
he was nice, his bodyguard was an asshole.

  11. Love the Better Off Dead reference.

  12. I don't think they'll sue. You can't just sue anyone you want in Canada. It's not the same as the US.

  13. If you want to be the most famous boy in the world. Then go rent out the laser tag place and cough up some money. You just can't be a regular kid with your dad when there are too many parasites in the world looking for quick scheme money making opportunities.

This won't be the first or last of dumb lawsuits. Can't wait for the first paternity test.

  17. I've heard stories that Bieber isn't kind to the general public, and maybe his dad should start dressing like a dad!

  18. Yeah what's up with Enty? No Four for Friday either last week!

    ReplyDelete
  19. come on Enty. I need more gossip and some blinds!

  20. Now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that.

  21. Not to be judgmental or anything, but Bieber Sr kind of looks like a douche.

  22. Here in SoCal, first thing this morning ABC reported that the kid called JB the name that shall remain nameless by me.

  23. "He's skiing on one ski...!"

  24. Enty must be in a long lawyer meeting.

  25. boring monday at work. :(

  26. You know, I heard that JB actually slapped the kid's hand away. And that JB's side is the one saying that he was being bullied. By a 12 year old. Who is smaller than him.

I dunno. Bullying is wrong. It's also a convenient excuse. If he slapped, pushed, or shoved a kid - he deserves to be taken down for it. Any other 16 year old starts smacking around a 12 year old and he would be in trouble for it too.

The laser tag place kid him out. They were the ones on the scene and they made JB leave. Makes you wonder.....

  27. Most of the Dads I know dress like Mr. Bieber.

  28. @califblondy

    Isn't that sad?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not really. I expect it where I live.

Plus, JB's Dad isn't that old (37), so he can still get away with board shorts.

  30. Maybe it's an East coast/ West coast thing.

  31. TMZ had a report on this, this weekend & they said the kids did call Bieber the "f" word. I never in a million years thought the kids involved were younger, but I guess if it were a bunch of 16-18 year olds it would have been even more pathetic.

They also said that Justin's parents were really young (30, 31). That might explain the dad's attire. ;) Although my husband is 31 & does NOT dress like this. But he might if he had a super rad 16 year old rapper/son.

    ReplyDelete
  32. forget his age it's October in Canada FFS! wear some damn pants.

around here we call guys like that "DieHards" in their fking shorts in december. yes, it's the West Coast, but it's not LA.

    ReplyDelete
  33. We call people that wear shorts in December here, idiots. And, really, they're from Stratford. That's some rural shit.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Def West Coast thing 'cuz that's year-round attire here.

    I didn't say I liked it, I said I'm used to it.

I really don't know the proper attire for laser tag 'cuz I'm not a fan.

  35. The issue at the core of this is the language used by the kids - completely unacceptable - can you imagine if they had dropped an N bomb and what that reaction would have been by the press?
Unfortunately, the word f****t is still seen as acceptable as an insult - by both adults and by extension, their children.
And of course, a money grubbing lowlife parent who recognized a potential out of court settlement.
The police (who were called) sided with the Bieber party, saying that "no assault occurred".

  36. OT/ where is the blind item?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah - I feel like something must be up with Enty - no blind and now daily photos. Hope everything is okay!

  38. just have to jump in here for a minute...idk where you guys are getting the "Bieber is a notorious dick anyway to lots of people on a daily basis." and, "I've heard stories that Bieber isn't kind to the general public,"...seriously?

i've done one massively tour date...and a handful of private events w/ the kid. he really a decent little teenager. i saw him interact w/ the pros...people on the production/mgmt/label end, media peeps... saw him w/ the fans and saw him in let-your-gaurd-down mode green room/prod. office/hotel and during venue sound checks...great kid. seriously, where are you guys gettting this information that he's an ass? obvs, idk what happened w/ the laser tag incident...but my first thought when i heard about it was that is was simply opportunists out to extort/milk what they could. i don't think the kid is perfect, and i'm sure he has normal teenage f-up days...big deal. we all did...but do i think he did this? hell no.

one thing i do know, is that, believe it or not, it's a hard life for them...i know, i know...don't side-eye me. we have attitudes like someone said above about why not just be a real baller and rent out the entire laser tag place...but why? why shouldn't he have the right to be a kid and do the things he did before people knew who he was? normal everyday things kids his age do and things we take for granted are what actually keep him grounded and keep him from becoming an ass. he takes proper measures (security detail, etc)...they don't always like isolating themselves from society...and seriously, a lot of them have to do that a lot of the time. yeah, they're living their dream...but at what cost? you'd be surprised to know the measures these tween/teen/young adult a-listers take to make sure they're never put in compromising positions. some are good at it, some suck at it, and some have it down to a science. it's sad to know there's always a guard up...i've seen it, had my heart broken by living it w/ them, and have admired the grace w/ which some of them handle it. it's quite impressive. believe it or not, it can be a really lonely life. money and fame truly aren't everything.

  39. I hope Enty is okay..this is weird!!! Enty....PLEASE let us know you are okay, even if that is all you post!!!

I think I can speak for everyone by saying that we want to know you are okay more than knowing the blinds and other gossip....

    ReplyDelete
  40. i think some of the gossipists are getting bored with the scene, day in and out

    ReplyDelete
  41. Pookie, love the first hand stories, feel free to tell more :)

RedTX, I agree, Enty's absence is concerning and hope he's away at bacon camp or something ;P

    ReplyDelete
  42. I posted candied bacon to him on FB....but I am concerned...as I think we all are

    @Jax...have you heard anything?

    ReplyDelete
  43. The article I read on this was that he was surrounded by kids and this one in particular kept shooting at him. Bieber finally said to him, "That's enough." The kid pointed at him just as he was about to walk away and called him that name. Bieber said, "Excuse me?" and he pushed the kid's hand away as he walked off.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good grief! How dare anyone suggest that a Canadian would sue anyone? REALLY! That's all that Americans do, of course, especially those REALLY evil Hollywood types ... you know, the Satanic Shorts-Wearing TRULY EVIL ones. ;)

Frankly, I think it's a 16 year old smacking a 12 year old for calling him a name. No one got hurt. Beyond that, who cares?

    ReplyDelete
  45. I only read about JB when I come here or it pops up in my work, but I always got the impression that he tried VERY hard to come to a mutual understanding with his fans, that he was happy to appear and meet them and perform, so long as they acted like human beings. When girls started mobbing malls and hurting his mom and generally acting like animals in his presence, well, NO BIEBS FOR YOU! I'd start being a jerk too if that's the kind of behaviour I had to deal with all the time. In this particular case though, 16yo boys are just 12yo boys with pubes and the shenanigans that kid's dad are trying to pull will fizzle out because nothing actually happened and everybody knows it.

Also, if you haven't already looked up pics of his dad, go do it. Yes, he's young, and he's kind of hot.

  46. Someone out there must know Enty's true identity......PLEASE let us know that he's o.k.

    {...you don't always report all the facts, which kind of drives me batty.}

And if someone is truly connected to the industry, then I expect better.

    {i think some of the gossipists are getting bored with the scene, day in and out}

It's in a phuck it mode, around here.

Pookie, I'll take your opinion of JB anyday.

  50. I hate to be a nervous nelly but now I'm worried about Enty MIA status.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm sure Enty is fine. This isn't the first time he's been MIA.

I'd be more worried about my own FT job & not a blog I write for fun, you know? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  52. EL is MIA again, huh. Well .. here is hoping he is doing something fun at least and will not come back horribly hung over .. as I recall him doing a few times!! ; )

And .. since Carly knows of us .. I think she would probably arrange for us to know if something untoward [2 a,b]had happened. But .. think he is likely busy as hell and unable to post to his beloveds!

    ; )

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yes, I too having been wondering if Enty is okay. I hope we hear from him soon and that this will be something to laugh about later. So Jax has some knowledge that at least he's somewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Maybe Ent represents Junior Seau and has been busy with his tomfoolery since he beat his wife down and then drove off a cliff.

All I know is that I came for a little break from this bitch of an essay I am writing, and am quite disappointed with the Beebs still being up there.
