I'm Happy For Mariah And Nick

My original plan was just going to put a photo in Random Photos to remark on Mariah Carey's pregnancy, but after watching her interview this morning, I have to say that I think I actually like Mariah way more than I did prior to the interview. I felt awful for her when she discussed her miscarriage and she and Nick seem so truly happy about this pregnancy that I have nothing but joy for them in my heart right now. I hope it works out great.

  2. I love MIMI! I thinks she is genuine with her talent, and is fun as heck. Her turn in Precious was just amazing. She is truly talented.

  3. I am too. And that baby will be spoiled. Nick may just be one of those guys that love high maintenance women. He has his own money, so what if it does not match hers. Team Mimi.

  4. I was surprised when I saw the interview. They actually seem to be genuinely excited for the baby and their future together. I hope it lasts.

  5. I hate that the "her money is more than his" has already been brought up. Jeeze, who cares who has more, they are seemingly happy and I'm glad for Mariah.

  6. Nice to see good news for a change

  7. I am happy for them as well. Struggling to get and stay pregnant is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Best wishes for them AND for others dealing with infertiity issues.

  8. I felt bad too when I heard about the miscarriage. Imagine how she felt with the tabs reporting about her weight gain when in fact she had lost a baby.

Congratulations to them. I hope everything goes well.

  9. I just hope she doesn't bedazzle the kid or name it butterfly espcially if it's a boy.

This is one time I am pro let the nanny raise the kid.

  10. Those odd stories about her getting treated with kid gloves and transported around in a wheelchair make a little more sense, now. With a previous miscarriage, I can understand her being extra-cautious.

  11. Lol - Lainey just posted a piece talking about how Mimi has denied using IVF, and "certainly not the IVF that J.Lo used" but apparently, J.Lo swears she didn't USE IVF. Lainey's predicting Jenny from the Block will go nuclear. Ridiculous.

  13. I am glad she is not having twins (at least I don't think) which seems to be the fashion accessory to have. I am so sorry to hear about her miscarriage. At first when they got married n stuff, I really thought it was only going to last like 2 weeks but I agree, it seems like true love. Yay babies!

  14. Well at least we know she will love and spoil her child with everything possible. Yeah for Nick & Mimi

  15. Congrats to them.

  16. JLo used IVF. She went to the same doc as a friend of mine, and ironically enough, delivered on the same day.

  17. p.s. Happy for Mimi. And honestly, happy for JLo, too.

  18. @Little Miss - well there you go :) Now I REALLY want to hear her denials! I just don't understand why someone would lie about such a thing. Big deal!

  19. I'm not a Mariah fan, but she has has looked really happy since she married Nick, and congrats to them on their baby.

  20. I am happy for them, but I feel bad for the kid. I just don't think Mariah can be selfless enough to have a child. She can't even hold her own cup and straw! It will be another child raised by Nannies. She's enamored with the idea of having Nick's baby, not raising a child.

  21. @Rocket Queen, ITA that it's dumb for J.Lo to deny having IVF.

When a late-in-life first-time mother suddenly has a perfect set of boy-and-girl twins, it's hard to believe anything else.

I suppose she doesn't think IVF fits her image, God knows why.

I had my late-in-life beautiful daughter with the help of reproductive technology, and I'll happily tell anyone who asks. I'm just thankful to have her.

  22. I'm happy for them too, I just don't understand why she kept performing if her condition was precarious enough for her to drop out of "For Colored Girls" and she has a history of miscarriages. I mean she did fall a month ago. You'd think she'd have stopped touring once she found out she was pregnant.

And the image of her giving birth is killing me...this is a woman that throws out towels after one use and needs help walking and sitting down. I wonder if she'll wear heels in the stirrups or suck on imported ice chips. Can't wait for the name either!!

  23. I am sure she will have a scheduled c-section like they all do. I don't understand why JLo never admitted to IVF when her exes all spoke of her problems getting pregnant.

  24. I hadn't even heard this was confirmed! Good for them!

  25. It'll be interesting to see how she handles a baby. This might be the thing to make her realize she's perfectly capable of drying herself off, holding her own cup and straw, etc.

Oh, who am I kidding? LOL! Still, I'm happy for them.
