BuzzFoto Blind Item
This couple in an iconic 80′s movie (not one of those movies by that guy) got together years after the film to do commentary for the DVD. The reunion was so inspiring that the two ended up having a brief affair (we hear they slept together a grand total of four times). The two have since parted ways, still with good feelings towards one another, but they claim they lived out this relationship years later that they only dreamed about when making the movie.
Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan
ReplyDeletesomeone on Goonies.
ReplyDeleteMartha Plimpton and Feldman?
I'm gonna say a Romancing the Stone type or Indiana Jones.
Ford or Douglas with their costars.
ooh Ryan that's good.
ReplyDeleteRichard Gere and julia Roberts
Maybe ET? Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas? Although they played brother and sister, didn't they? That might be kind of weird lol
ReplyDeleteIone and Cusack?
ReplyDeleteNo it was Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger. After he won an Oscar for the Wrestler, she wrote him a handwritten note congratulating him and they also were in another movie together though they did not have any scenes together.

Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson have been everywhere lately for Back to the Future.
ReplyDeleteJosh Brolin & the girl who played "Andy"? - Goonies
ReplyDeleteBut The Back to the Future guess is more probable.

I like Ione & Cusack as well.
ReplyDeleteI was also thinking Drew and ET. By "not that guy" I think they are excluding all the John Hughes films.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason Dirty Dancing entered my mind. Jennifer Grey/Patrick Swayze.
ReplyDeleteWell...they have parted ways.
Oh, tough one. Dirty Dancing and Say Anything were two iconic movies during the 80's. I'd be curious to know if there is commentary on either of the DVD's with the two leads and how inspirational it comes off to the viewer...
ReplyDeleteDidn't Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze hate each other while filming? It says they dreamed of the relationship while filming ...
ReplyDeleteI bet its Ione and Cusack. I've heard the commentary on the Say Anything DVD and they are flirting like mad. Cusack talks about how he thought she was great/beautiful but she had her boyfriend (Anthoy Kiedis from RHCPs) lurking around the set all the time. And she kept talking about how cute she thought he was and what a crush she had on him.
ReplyDeleteI'll put my money on the BTTF guesses. Mainly because it's 25th anniversary...
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought of Footloose and Kevin Bacon and his blond co-star.
ReplyDeleteThe blind makes reference to John Hughes so I think the movie would be that style of 80s teen flick. I immediately thought of Fast Times at Ridgemont High but I like the Say Anything guess.
ReplyDelete@ Looserdude - Thanks for the list and LMFAO at the thought of Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal were the first to come to mind but I suck at guessing blinds.
Lea Thomson and MJF for the win!
ReplyDeleteLots of "Back to the Future" buzz for the 25th anniversary
I have a very hard time believing that a man with somewhat advanced Parkinson's is going to shtup a former co-star, even if it was only four times.
ReplyDeleteSarandon/Costner seems like a good guess to me.
Ione Skye is married and now pregnant with her 3rd child. If it's her, that's impressive time management for sure.
I can't find any mention of a MJF/Thompson DVD commentary on the box set though.
ReplyDeleteFurther, the blind sounds like a single movie to me. BTTF was a trilogy and they would have met each other after the first movie.
I think it excludes any John Hughes movies, my first thought was Cusack and Skye.
ReplyDeleteY'all need to narrow this down, I need an answer, lol!
ReplyDeleteI like the Say Anything guess, even if my first thought was 9 1/2 Weeks. Maybe I would just rather consider the naturally aged figures of John Cusack and Ione Skye in flagrante rather than the heavily-retooled Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'.
Sarandon/Costner? baseball field > field of "dreams"?
ReplyDeleteNot Out of Africa - (1985) (Meryl Streep, Robert Redford) I have heard Meryl's marriage survives because the hubby looks the other way while she does all her costars. Can you imagine not doing Redford back in the day. Not a fan of blonds, but he was the exception.
ReplyDeleteIt would be helpful to find out which DVDs have a commentary from the stars.
ReplyDeleteI like the Sarandon/Costner guess too. Didn't she get together with Tim Robbins on that film? It would explain why nothing happened at the time between them!
ReplyDeleteMJF would simply not do that. that one is completely out for me. he's one of the rare good family men in lala land.
ReplyDeletei thought ione skye has been busy having babies.
i like the '9 1/2 weeks' guess, actually. and also 'field of dreams.' i can see THOSE people doing this---but some of the guesses, i just can't.
Amy Madigan and Kevin Costner-Field of Dreams
ReplyDeleteWas St. Elmo's Fire by John Hughes?
ReplyDeleteAidan Quinn/Madonna, "Desperatley Seeking Susan".
ReplyDeleteOn the Ione and Cusack train!

ReplyDeleteRob Lowe (Andrew McCarthy)& Ally Sheedy St.Elmo's Fire written/directed by Schumacher

ReplyDeleteHad to delete my comment because I can't stand spelling errors. :P
ReplyDeleteAnyway, as I was saying...
Since I know one of the parties, I can assure you that it is definitely NOT Ione and John. Promise.
not hurt and turner. i read her autobiography, and hurt was an ass.
ReplyDeleteI was going with Cher and Eric Stoltz (Mask), but unless they haven't released details on a new DVD version, there's no commentary from them.
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorite movies from the 80's was American Dreamer with JoBeth Williams and Tom Conti. I would love it if Rebecca Ryan and Alan McMann got together IRL. I don't think this an iconic movie though. I'm sure most people have never even heard of it.
ReplyDeleteOmg!! It's NOT Kathleen Turner!! Have you seen the woman lately?? I think takes steroids or something for her arthritis. She doesn't look well at all.. And its defiantly not MJ Fox for the same reason.. I think its Cusak and somebody lol!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know...Jennifer was crying quite a bit on Dancing with the Stars when she discovered her first dance was to a love scene song in Dirty Dancing. If they hated each other while filming, they were also in Red Dawn together. Would hatred keep them apart from one movie or the other? I guess I'm biased and would like to think it's them for whatever reason.
