Today's Blind Items
This aging B list television actor had some requests in his most recent contract. One was that the producers pay about $100K a year to a woman who is by our actor's side all the time. Everyone thought it was a woman he was sleeping with but it turns out she is his professional toupee handler. She is in charge of making sure his hair is never out of place and carries a suitcase which contains ten other rugs all in different shades for different weather and his moods.
100K A YEAR?!?!
ReplyDeleteNo guesses - but whoever it is that is just ridiculous.
I am saying William Shatner for $500 Alex...
ReplyDeletePiven, with his Emmys, could probably get away with a clause like that in his contract. But I'm never quite sure what age range qualifies as "aging" in Enty's book.
ReplyDeleteCaruso?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Piven have his multiple toupe's in his bedroom? (According to some trick)...Maybe during the day, they come with?
ReplyDeleteTom Selleck?
ReplyDeleteI like Tenley's guess.
ReplyDeletePiven FTW!
Hasselhof!
ReplyDeleteShatner. New show on CBS with Bleep my Dad Says.
ReplyDeleteUm hello! It's John Travolta!
ReplyDeleteI'd have said Shatner, but I would think he's "aged," not aging. So my money's on the Pivster.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Smits?
ReplyDeleteI really like the Shatner guess....100K...where have I gone wrong..?
ReplyDeleteI also think Travolta!
ReplyDeleteDear lord what do you have to have on your resume to get that gig??
ReplyDeleteThe Pivert or Shatner. Trovolta has plugs.
This can't be about Travolta. He isn't a television actor.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Christopher Meloni.
I'll keep my day job. I hate touching fake hair.
ReplyDeleteIs the Piv aging?
"recent contract" makes me think it's Shatner.
THE SHAT. William Shatner.
ReplyDelete"The Shat"....Hilarious!
ReplyDeletePoor chap whover it is. That's a lot of worrying & badly spent cash & energy on...hair!
The Caruso guess has me wigged out ;) That guy would be unbearably ugly without hair, and I generally love the bald look.
David Spade.
ReplyDeleteNot Piv. There were recent pix of him showing the scars from his scalp reduction/hair transfer and there is the afore mentioned toupe crypt.
ReplyDeleteYou don't shit the Shat so he gets his wig gal.
Is Hugh Laurie B-list in America (certainly A-list in UK) or has his star risen since House? He definitely wears a piece and he could definitely ask for that kind of money in any contract negotiations or renewals. He's been married for ages, though, so might not want to give the impression he's boinking someone else.
ReplyDeleteHis scalp in all its glory: http://www.hollywoodgrind.com/tag/hugh-laurie/
Steve Carrell. He obviously wears a hair piece.
ReplyDeleteI can totally see Shatner doing this. He has taken egotism to an art form, and I love him for it.
ReplyDeleteTravolta was Vinnie Barbarino! But yeah, he's a movie actor now.
Handling his toupee? Is that what you kids are calling it these days?
ReplyDeleteNot Travolta. He is A list.
ReplyDeleteIs Piven even considered B list? Emmy nod or not, if you don't watch his show you would have no idea who he is.
Shatner though fits the bill. Plus he is known to be notoriously vain even back in the Star Trek days.
Whoever it is, lucky for the assistant to get such a well paying job.
Um, where can I sign up?
ReplyDeleteLOVE the David Spade guess
ReplyDeleteThis is soo Nic Cage. His hair always seems to be ever changing, no?
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine sitting around all day in a trailer brushing a tiny wig out? I'd need more than 100k for that job, so good for her! Piven for the win.
ReplyDeleteI like the Spade guess, too. He's aging. Shatner has aged.
ReplyDeletemy first thought was ted danson...
ReplyDeleteA "toupee whisperer?"
ReplyDeleteNot Shatner, I agree that he's in the "aged" category, not "aging."
I'm trying to think who's important enough to get a Toupee Whisperer for 100k a year? And B=list, at that. And who would have a "recent" contract? I'm thinking new shows, maybe.
Jimmy Smits? Jim Belushi? Guess we can rule out Michael Chiklis! :-)
How about Blair Underwood?
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Jon Lovitz.
ReplyDeleteYeah I know he's done lots of movies...but it was what popped into my head.
I am kinda down with the Jim Belushi guess. He seems like the kind of person who would be all moody and cranky and need to change his hair. A lotta ego there, I think. And he's on that new show for CBS. He can pull this kind of stunt after According to Jim. Crappy show, big money.
ReplyDeleteI thought Ted Danson too.
ReplyDeleteIan Somerhalder. Different hair in every picture.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Sheen. Without a doubt.
ReplyDeleteWow, I never realized there was so much rug out there. I gues the men have that added pressure.
ReplyDeleteShatner is a great guess you guys! But does Burt Reynolds have a show? I know he did Evening Shade back in the day. Oh, wait, is he still alive?
ReplyDeleteTravolta isnt a TV actor anymore.
ReplyDeleteCome on folks - pay attention...Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Some of you are in too big a hurry to post your guess first.
Piven is not "aging"...He's middle aged. I mean, by the true definition of aging, I'd like to find one human alive who doesn't qualify.
Which makes me think this is either)
William Shatner
or
David Caruso
I would love to put "Rug Wrangler" in my resume. I would probably be fired the first day for inappropriate laughter, but I could still get the line in the resume and that's all that counts.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Shatner. I think saying "foreign born" would have given it away too easily.
ReplyDeleteCage & Travolta are movie stars, not TV, other guesses are too young. Shatner ftw.
Ted Danson
ReplyDeleteIt's Jimmy Smits. He was filming his new show here in Phill and the right side of his toupee flew up while he was shooting a scene.
ReplyDelete
