Simon Barney Arrested For Domestic Violence
Simon Barney was arrested early this morning and charged with domestic violence. The incident happened early last night when Simon and Tamra Barney argued about dog visitation. Yep. Tamra, who is on RHOC says that when Simon dropped off their dog, he threw the leash at Tamra and it hit her. That of course led to the children to start crying and then Simon left but was arrested early this morning.
Simon had texted Tamra when he left that the leash slipped from his hands. Uh huh. I am definitely not a fan of Tamra cheating on the guy and he says that she verbally abused him in the past too. However, there is no excuse for violence. None. Just walk away.
I read where he was one of the husbands (along with another Simon) who really wanted camera time and loved the limelight. Maybe he just wanted a TMZ mugshot? Somewhere Vicki and Gretchen are laughing their asses off.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, he threw a leash at her and that is considered abuse?? Really? Was it some sort of heavy chain leash? Because if it was just a regular leash, I don't see any abuse. I've never heard of either one of these people, but if that what she considers abusive behavior, then she is one delicate, little flower.
ReplyDeleteI knew he was a beater.
ReplyDeleteThey are all icky. I quit watching the show.
Gawd I Miss Paradise Hotel.
W-E-A-K!
ReplyDeleteThrew? Now if he "whipped the leash at her" this story might be more plausible - I think this is a publicity stunt on her behalf. (I do take domestic violence seriously - but from watching her on the show is where I drew my remark)
ReplyDeleteFrom other sources: The leash hit her on the wrist.
ReplyDeleteNow to be logical for a second... if you were in a rage, if you had a bad temper, if you were abusive, if you wanted to hurt someone, would you throw a dog leash at someone?
Moving forward... would you throw it at their wrist?
Something tells me it was in no way a violent act, but Tamara thought I've got him! I can get him arrested for this and he will look terrible to everyone and look like he was abusive all along. But all it will end up doing is making people question Tamara if she ever tries to play the abuse card, by thinking her idea of abuse is something like a dog leash hitting her wrist, and therefore think she exaggerates greatly.
Big mistake for her.
i read that the leash hit her hand? come on now. this isn't abuse. tamra's a bitch. i'm not defending simon but having your husband locked up over getting a leash thrown at you is taking things way too far, if you ask me. now this guy has a record because of his cheating wife blowing a small thing completely out of proportion.
ReplyDeleteUnless it was one heavy leash (retractable?) this is crap. What a bitch.
ReplyDeleteGranted Tamara is a piece of work but isn't the bigger issue Simon's underlying, seething anger, he's always directed at her? To me Simon would be much happier with a woman he could control, one who'd be willing to stay home and keep the home fires burning....he's really a 1950s man. Unfortunately he found Tamara in a bar. He was attracted to her because she looked sexy and cheap but what in that equation told him she'd be a good candidate for a traditional/archaic type of marriage. I'm sure a foreclosure, having your dirty laundry aired and being unemployed did not help with his fragile male ego....there go the erections. OOPS.
ReplyDeleteNow THIS is f*ckin' lame! RJ's right: she's a delicate lil' flower.
ReplyDeleteHe is a tightly wound guy with a mean temper and it comes across in the show, I am thinking there has to be more to the story though.
ReplyDeleteBy the end of the last season I was almost feeling sorry for Simon. She was with him when he had money and then when times got tough I think she took up with another fella. Tamara is definitely fishing for some sympathy and publicity. I wonder if Simon is sharing a cell with Jeana's husband? These OC hubbies seem to be having a tough time.
ReplyDeleteThrowing anything at anyone is assault. If she was hit on her hand maybe she put her arm up to protect her face?
ReplyDeleteI don't remember these two??
ReplyDeleteSounds a little blown out of proportion to me....
