Raising Sextuplets Parents Call It Quits
Apparently the domestic violence charge was the last straw for Jennifer Masche. Good for her. Yes, it will be tough raising six children all by yourself, but hopefully We TV will not abandon you and you can make some money to support your family.
Jennifer filed a petition for separation almost right after Bryan Masche was arrested and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct for domestic violence, one count resisting arrest and one count threatening domestic violence. He basically yelled at his wife and threatened to kick the crap out of his father-in-law. Oh, and then when the police arrived he ignored them. I can't believe he did not get tased.
I know the couple lives in Florida on the show but all of the action seems to be happening in Arizona so I wonder if Jennifer is going to move back home. Oh, see that would be good. "I'm Moving Back Home And Bringing 6 Kids And A Violent Ex With Me." That is must see tv.
Lets just hope they can keep it civil and that he will get help for his anger issues. Lawd I hope that we do not get a replay of the Jon & Hate divorce...
ReplyDeleteI hope all the kids are healthy...but that baby on the right seems to have one large head. Maybe it's the angle.
ReplyDeleteSure does.
DeleteGood eye!
I read somewhere that the children are all ok and have no issues. True or not, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI understand fertility treatments but I have difficulty understanding why you would carry 6 to term. The risks to the babies and mom are staggering. Then there's the stress of taking care of 6 babies/toddlers. JMO
people were NOT meant to have fucking litters of kids. no kidding it's messing up marriages and turning out like this.
ReplyDelete@mikey, Having six is one of the risks when you are on these fertility drugs. Say you do end up pregnant with multiples, how on earth would you ever decide which ones not to carry to term? I don't think I would be capable of making such a decision.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this show a few times and I have to say, I think whether they had 2 kids, 4 kids, or 10 kids, it probably would have turned out this way. He definitely has anger issues. I just think the number of kids brought it out sooner.
I remember watching a clip of the show on The Soup. It was a series of moments where the kids would fall or get scared by dad, and he would laugh. If that was all caught on camera, I'd hate to think what he was like off camera.
ReplyDelete@nichole-it's selective reduction to give the remaining embryo's the best chance to make it to full term and healthy. My neighbors were told they stood a lot better chance of having 2 or 3 babies at once rather than ever having all 5 make it. They gave the dr permission to keep the 3 *best looking* and did not want to know the sex. Worked out - they have g/g/b triplets. I'm just saying when you work so hard to have a baby you may want to increase your odds of leaving the hospital with a baby. We don't hear of all the large multiple pregnancies that end sadly.
ReplyDeleteNo woman should ever have a kid without thinking she will raise it on her own. Ever. Could we please learn from experience?!!??! What are women thinking these days? Stop being stupid ladies!
ReplyDeleteI hope they're off TV for good. Children don't belong on reality TV shows. Let them have their childhoods.
ReplyDeleteI heard an awful account of the Gosselin children being mobbed last weekend while trying to play (without cameras, without Kate) at an arcade. The kids didn't ask to be entertainment for crazy random people. They are not zoo animals.
Single mom of six. Hope she does go back to Mom and Dad. She will need help.
ReplyDelete@Jax: you said exactly what i was coming here to comment on. if you can't have kids, you can't have kids. i'm sorry but that's how it is. if you are doing in vitro, there really should be laws to how many embryos can be implanted. i know that not many take but it's not good for the babies or the mother to have 302902348023984 kids kicking around in her uterus.
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe that there are so many shows about multiples. Hasn't the concept gotten OLD yet? That being said, if she is a nicer person than Kate, I'd gladly see her replaced.
ReplyDeleteI think people should adopt a child instead of ahving 5/6/8 kids all at once. How many people are wealthy enough to raise them in a good way, giving them all they need?.
ReplyDeleteIf it weren't for these shows people would stop making this decisions, what's so wrong about adopting a child?
I watched a marathon of this show when I was home from work sick for three days. this guy is an immmature, controlling abusive asshole. he verbally abused he so many times and tried to make her feel like a piece of shit on a daily basis. meanwhile, she was the only one working!! he was trying to build a "business". he tried to isolate her from her family by insisting they move from Arizona to Fla. Sound familiar? Classic batterer. I know it will be hard for her but she did the best thing getting away from that dickhead, the next step would have been him hitting her.
ReplyDeleteJess, it is really hard to adopt. When my husband and I found out we couldn't have kids, we were in our 30s, and in Australia that meant basically impossible to adopt. We chose not to go through IVF for a number of reasons - the emotional, mental and physical cost. The monetary cost. Not wanting to imprison a child through fear because we had gone through so much to have one. Have heard and seen too many parents of IVF children smother them. I wanted mine to climb trees.
ReplyDeleteit's not as easy as, 'if you can't have kids, you can't have kids--deal.'...fertility issues run far deeper than most people, even women, can imagine. and for the record, ethical doctors do regulate the number of embryos implanted...it's not a field that's all wild-wild-west octomom style.
ReplyDeleteHey, I live in Arizona and we don't need any more drama!!!!! :-O
ReplyDeleteThese 2 people are both idiots. I'm sure it's not the first time he tried to beat her, but she has sextuplets.
ReplyDeleteI only saw part of one show and it was pretty evident the husband was personality disordered. Why would she have had a litter of kids with a man who could barely stand her, and resented the hell out of the kids. Hopefully this new development will impede him from making a living and he won't be able to visit his ugly personality on the kids very often.
ReplyDeleteShe was an idiot for not being able to see what he was and is. A violent bully.
I think some of these couples see multiple births as a cash crop: "Let's land a TV show!"
ReplyDeleteHopefully they will learn from Octomom's lack of success in that regard.
