Michelle Duggar Willing To Die To Have Another Baby
Michelle Duggar wants another child so much that she says she is willing to die to have one. So, what she is saying is that it is fine if the baby does not have a mother. Look, I could see you maybe taking a chance if this was your one chance to have a baby after years of trying or that it was miraculous. The woman already has 19 kids. Is it really worth your life to have another one? According to The Enquirer she says it is worth her life.
"I WANT another child and I'm not afraid to die to have one!" She says that she is perfectly willing to sacrifice her own life so she can bring another baby into the world. I always thought these parents were decent people. I don't believe that every person on earth should have 20 people, but I am not going to criticize their beliefs. I am going to suggest that she has a lot of kids to raise and that she is not sacrificing her life for one but all of her 19 kids who would be left without their mom.
Sorry, but does she feel no responsibility towards her other 19 children...the women has issues serious issues.
ReplyDeleteI was Team Leave Michelle Alone until I read this. Now I'm Team Michelle Is Batshit Crazy.
ReplyDeleteJoeBobJimJedidiah Duggar needs to be sterilized and Michelle needs her tubes tied.
ReplyDeleteNo way is this God's will. She's a an arse who feels her way is best and you'd have thought the last pregnancy would've been enough of a hint for her.
ReplyDeleteUgh, so pissed off now.
Ditto to what chopchop said. Batshit Crazy. And selfish too.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she knows who she is without constantly giving birth. Poor thing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she is addicted to it and probably likes the attention she gets from having these babies.
ReplyDeletePlus, didn't she just have a sick baby...she should spend more time worrying about the toddlers she has at home instead of having another one.
I feel sorry for the older kids...I bet they probably have to help raise the kids.
It's getting ridiculous.
Ok, so her reproductive sense has overwhelmed her common sense?
ReplyDeleteI just don't get what the thing is here...aside from the fact that she's been convinced her only function is to be a brood mare.
(And I beg forgiveness of all other women for using that phrase, however I do stand behind it when referring to Ms. Duggar.)
I would be more angered by this were it not for the fact that it seems like she barely raises the kids past a certain point anyway. Once a baby is done breast feeding it seems as if they are handed off to one of the older girls to raise while she starts working on having another one. So the argument that the kids would be left without a mother (implying for me that they would be lost and helpless) doesn't hold that much water. YMMV.
ReplyDeleteEvery time there's a new Duggar story, it's the SAME DAMN THING -- "If God gives us another baby, we will be happy. Children are blessings. We live by God's will."
ReplyDeleteNot sure why there's a media frenzy every time there's a new quote from the Duggars. They've been consistent in this message.
I am feeling quite mean today, so I'll come out with it: this dumb gaping twat with legs needs to STFU.
ReplyDeleteOf course she doesn't mind leaving any of the kids without her...she has built-in babysitting. I'll bet none of their kids has a GD thing to themselves. It's like a weirdo cult or something.
While you are (IMO) being far too kind about these people, Enty, I OTOH have no qualms criticizing their beliefs by saying I think their "QuiverFull" bullshit is scary and gross and I am frankly shocked this woman doesn't have "sister wives" to share Jim Bob's glorious sperm with.
Plus, it is WAY obvious this dingbat is full-on ADDICTED to being pregnant and having babies.
All that said, I respect that they are fully responsible for housing, clothing, educating and feeding the whole clan and not on public assistance, and the kids all seem very well-mannered and educated, from the little I have glimpsed of them.
But still! Gyahh!
But like I must repeat all the time in my line of work...
ReplyDeleteIT'S A FREE COUNTRY.
Does anybody else think Michelle Duggar looks like Seth Meyers from SNL in that picture? What a sketch that would be!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Christian but I just cannot relate to this woman. Have some more kids then, but go away and do it privately.
ReplyDeleteThis woman is just crazy. Enough already. Would she still be pumping them out if she wasn't getting paid for her story? WACK-JOB.
ReplyDeleteMany people do not fully believe in the concept of "God will provide." These people actually do. Who are we to condemn? She has a husband and plenty of other children, family and good friends who will pitch in to help raise her children in the event of her death. She is not saying it is likely she will die having another baby, just that she would be willing to die, if necessary. That said, I think Michelle Duggar's chances of dying in childbirth are no greater than any other woman her age (she isn't even that old.) She is aparently very healthy. She lives a clean life, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke or do drugs and is a generally quiet calm person. I think she'll be just fine. There are many other parents out there who take far greater risks for far less valuable reasons. Let her have as many babies as God allows. Why does everyone have to judge? I know she is on tv and all, so that does give people the right, but I don't see why everyone is being so harsh. It's not like any of you are going to be expected to raise these kids or pay for them with your tax dollars. The duggars are financially sound.
ReplyDeleteP.S. There are far many more people in this country giving birth to babies that shouldn't be for us to worry about. Drug addicts, Abusive parents. Neglectful parents. Even young teenagers. I think how the Duggars choose to raise their family is the least of our concerns.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big believer in natural selection...and that's all I have to say about that.
ReplyDelete@IceAngel
ReplyDeleteThe reason to condemn her is that she's willing to leave 19 children, some of them quite young, with no mother to care for them. All because she's addicted to being pregnant.
She wants the new, shiny baby (and the attention that goes along with it), but being responsible for the other 19 children is apparently just too damn boring.
To me, the selfishness comes into play when she says she's willing to die to have another child. And I believe she is at a greater risk because she had preeclampsia with her last baby and that is indeed life threatening!
ReplyDeleteI am currently pregnant with my fourth and I get the same looks & strange comments that I'm sure Michelle has. I'm aware that 4 doesn't compare to 19 but honestly there are a lot of people who think that I am crazy for having so many children and they aren't afraid to confront me to my face about it. Again, the problem I have is when a parent is willing to give up their lives and put their own children through hell for something that, in the end, is completely selfish and unnecessary. Michelle has enough children. She should not be willing to make her husband a widower and her children motherless just so she can fulfill whatever need she has to continue to bear children. This is too great an expense and that is when she lost me.
I think 4 is a good, solid number. No weird middle child.
ReplyDeleteTWO weird middle children! : )
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it like that.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously. Does Michelle Duggar feel any responsibility for the mental and emotional (and heck, let's throw in physical) health of her first 19 children?
ReplyDeletePossibly she can't relate to kids once they have an intellect, and only wants to interact with helpless infants who can't act independently?
It's a weird mental thing to not care if your children have a parent.
Is there really any one of us that wouldn't want to die if we had 19 kids and a clown car for a vagina?!?!?!
ReplyDeletejust kidding, Sue Ellen!
ReplyDelete@ _-_+_
ReplyDeleteha!
I know, but it's a good point nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteah, heck. just being a kid is tough. All my siblings complain that I had it easy cause I was the youngest, but they didn't have to put up with being the littlest person in a house of occasionally pretty mean people. So being screwed up because of birth order is all relative. (heh!)
ReplyDeleteTry being an only child were you're encouraged to be yourself all the time, have no one to tell you you're being weird, then you go to school, are yourself, and then EVERYONE tells you you're weird. It's quite the shock.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone has it rough no matter where you land in birth order. I think the Duggar kids have it a little rougher cause, well, I can't imagine there's a lot of time when you have so many.
i see her selflessless as selfishness.
ReplyDeleteSue Ellen, you made me LOL! My middle girl is totally weird! She's my most difficult ... and she's only 7. The good news is that she's very sneaky about her naughtiness ... she is very beautiful (that's not just a mom saying that -- I'm always asked if she will do some modeling. My answer, "What's the point?") and very quiet & obedient around other people but when she's at home she can be quite a terror!
ReplyDeleteAs an aside since we're talking about people who say odd/strange/rude things to pregnant people & people with young children, I just wanted to share that my fourth baby here due Christmas is ANOTHER GIRL. So I have three girls already (5, 7, & 9) and another on the way. I should just paint my entire house pink and be done with it. But to get back to the weird people thing, so many ask me if I'm disappointed! Isn't that just the oddest thing to ask? Like I'm gonna say, "Yeah I really wanted a boy so we're giving this girl up for adoption and I'll try again." WTF???
Psychiatric evaluations need to be done here, and I think the state needs to intervene. Is she really a mentally-fit mother when she says she isn't afraid to die to have another baby when she already has 19? Michelle, maybe you need to ask that unborn child if they would like a mother or not?
ReplyDeleteShe says these are all gifts from God. Well, God gave you the gift to have babies, but what you do with that ability is your choice. You have s#x at the right time of the month, you're going to get pregnant!
I feel so sorry for all the older kids in that family - they are the real mothers and fathers of the Duggar household. Also, if it wasn't for Grandma Duggar, Jim Bob would have been screwed taking care of all of those kids while Michelle was at the hospital taking care of Josie. Shame on you Jim Bob for doing that to your mother!
i'm just gonna say it. this womb on wheels wants an EVEN 20!
ReplyDeleteshe's mentally not all there from miscarrying her first while being on The Pill. she's said it on The View. doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize what she is doing.
oh and Sue Ellen, you might have only meant it in jest, but weird middle child?? come on. that's your Only Child Syndrome talking methinks. lol..
I don't have a problem with them popping kids out, I do have a problem with a Mom who says "she's willing to die". Hello, you're leaving 19+ children without a mother.
ReplyDelete@chopchop.
ReplyDeleteI like the sounds of your middle one. Kids like that have a good spirit and are usually pretty funny. Goes well with weirdness of only children. ;)
It's super rude to ask pregnant ladies some things, and what you described is one of them. I have a very good friend (28 years) who is 4 months in and all I've asked her is if she wants to know the sex and what names are rolling around. Anything else, you're risking offending someone, which is not a good idea with pregnant ladies.
@Jax
ReplyDelete'Course I mean it in jest. I mean, I am the queen of the weirdo's.
I feel bad for the kids. They will never get much quality time with parents, they will never get to go places (baseball games, carnivals, vacations) together due to logistics and cost (even if they are multi-millionaires) and never be able to just be kids (they are babysitters and food service employees, probably).
ReplyDeleteMaybe they have it all worked out, but if those kids are going to struggle to go to college or be like their friends and schoolmates, they may suffer. How do you just relax with that menagerie?
The parents are selfish, minimally.
I think the whole Quiverfull bull is a Christian form of BDSM. The women get their jollies out of submissive sex and acting as brood mares. The men get off on demonstrating their manliness by having a woman and a bunch of kids to boss, and the kids show the guy's sexual prowess (whoopie). Instead of owning their sexual fetish, these freaks cloak it in religion.
ReplyDeleteDaddy Duggar wouldn't be alone for very long, I guaran-darn-tee it. He'll get some sweet young thing who'll step in to be mama to the first batch (probably more like big sister to most of the first batch) and start right in on the second batch.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Enquirer. The information came from those mysterious "sources." I doubt she said any of this.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the Duggars have been pretty upfront that they won't do anything to prevent future pregnancies. I won't be that shocked when she gets pregnant again.
I'm into my family history. I have relatives that had 22 children with no sets of multiples. Imagine doing that with 18th century medicine.
These people are sick.
ReplyDeleteMichelle needs a hysterectomy. That would end it all.
ReplyDeleteIt is also very disrespecful of her to continue to bring more children in the world, after this last horific pregnancy, that has left a child completely incompetent. It's time to stop.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, congrats chopchop!
ReplyDeleteSecond, Robert - omfg. ALL I SEE NOW IS SETH MEYERS!!!
I'm with the "holy fuck is she selfish group". So you're risking leaving your husband and older children alone with 20 children to care for because you can't see the forest for the fucking trees? I'm sorry - utterly disgusted.
what selenakyle and squeezebox said!!!
ReplyDeleteand p.s. that newest baby has scary eyes, seriously, I know your not supposed to say it but some babies are just unfortunate looking! lol
ReplyDeleteMy grandma had 7 and by the 7th one her baby was born with black toe and fingernails cause she had no more calcium to give him, her body was just that depleted and down with having kids. I know there are vitamins pregnant women take but still, no matter how healthy you are your acting as a life source for this human for 3/4 of the year. Doing that for 19 years... yeesh. Her insides must look crazzzyyyy
*done with having kids, not DOWN. dammit jasmine, read what you write before you send it ::))

ReplyDeletei don't really care what she does. i don't know her. i don't watch her show. i don't watch that network. hell, i don't even watch tv (too busy wasting time on the internet).
ReplyDelete"EVERY SPERM IS SACRED
EVERY SPERM IS GREAT
IF A SPERM IS WASTED
GOD GETS QUITE IRATE."
(monty python fan here)
I guess I just don't get how a society tells us we should stay away from a woman's right to do with her body what she wants to when it comes to abortion, but think it's perfectly fine to state their opinions about what she wants to do with her body when she does decide to have a child. Her womb. Her body. Her choice.
ReplyDeleteChild protective services??? Really? Their house is clean. Their children are healthy and well cared for and excel in their education as well as music. They seem ok to me. I've watched the show and all those kids seem really happy to me.
chopchop
ReplyDeleteI have 4 boys and got the "wow you're having a large family" comments when I was pregnant with #3. People definitely think you're crazy to have 4. I also totally get the comments you're getting about having all girls. I've received horrible comments from #3 on about having all boys. I'm still too shocked when someone says something to give them a witty comeback.
I am number 3 of 4 and I am a complete weirdo.
ReplyDeleteCan you be on HOARDERS for being the " crazy cat lady" but with kids instead of kitties?
ReplyDeleteIce Angel, I'll ride up front with you on this. I am pro-choice, and many women will get bent out of shape, if our rights to terminate a pregnancy is bothered. So no one should care if she wants to have this many kids.
ReplyDeleteAnd the middle child is the weirdo. LOL.
I think of her as the human equivalent to a puppy mill--only the kids are cleaner and not in cages--or so I assume. I don't watch this show.
ReplyDeleteI know its a free country, yada, yada, but these people just disturb me. I'm glad they are ok financially which would be one of my main concerns...I also wonder how much attention each child really gets with THAT many kids. I've never watched the show so I can't comment.
ReplyDelete"Womb on wheels" made me LOL

ReplyDeleteThis is just horrible. I grew up in an environment quite similar to the Duggar's. Quiet as it's kept everyone suffered emotionally from it. Not that anyone could tell on the surface we all seem "happy" just like them and of course it's always about religion.
ReplyDeleteAll I can do is hope and pray that GOD stops her from EVER conceiving again.
Oh and to the person who said that the baby has scary eyes that what some babies look like when they are ill. It's evident in their eyes.
I know this is messed up to say, but it is interesting to read all of your posts because this is a somewhat small community and I am learning more and more about a lot of you repeat posters. It's just really interesting. Sorry about your upbringing, not on my dollar... That doesn't sound good.
ReplyDeleteKLM, it's not messed up. We are a small community of sorts and the suffering some posters have gone through is horrific. Some of the stories I have read over the years have made me weep.
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is just f*cking crazy. Oh, and I should say I was raised a Mormon but got out of that sh*t when I was 17.
ReplyDeleteJust as a quick aside... my grandmother on my mother's side had 6 children in the
ReplyDelete"old country", none of whom survived, emigrated to America and had 6 more.
Of course, this was the late 1890's to early 1900's.
Global population growth is out of control and it is just straight up irresponsible to have so many children. It's selfish and I can't get behind it at all.
ReplyDelete@KLM
ReplyDeleteThat's the nice thing about it.
she's worse than Kate Gosselin and the Octomom by far. forget doing it for "religious beliefs" (my ass), she's doing it for attention (and I'm hearing rumors that she had a few of the kids from a surrogate)
ReplyDelete
