George Michael Needs To Have Sex With More Judges
Apparently the wheels of justice roll a little differently in England for George Michael than they do for say, Pete Doherty. The more I read about sentences that celebrities get in England the more convinced I become that Pete Doherty has in fact slept with someone of importance. He always gets off and George does not.
This morning George was sentenced to 8 weeks in jail for his DUI arrest on July 4th. You know, the one where he smashed into the store. George had previously plead guilty to the crime and the judge had called it some very poor driving. Yes, it was. The fact is though that Pete Doherty has been arrested a million times for drug and alcohol offenses and has spent really no time in jail.
How is this possible? He has been arrested way more often than George Michael. I wonder if the judge was just not a fan of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.
Pete is only killing himself while George is a danger to the public.

ReplyDeletePoor GM, oh well on the bright side, he gets to have all the public sex he wants in jail
ReplyDeleteGuilty feet have got no rhythm.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, you slay me!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take a law degree to answer this question.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Michael is a 50 year old queen who will NEVER LEARN. The judge knows he's about to kill himself. Doherty is on the fast track too, but he keeps getting chances.
ReplyDeleteIsn't GM getting jail time because he was behind the wheel, and this isn't his first driving offense. I would think that's why he's getting jail time. Doesn't PD just stumble around the streets of London while high as a kite? Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I totally could be.
ReplyDeletePete may be a drug addict but at least knows how to call a fucking cab.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for weed, but not for DUIs.
Susan, I think for awhile there it was a combination of being behind the wheel but more often on the streets. The best one was when he was arrested outside of court for having drugs on him.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I say which was a greater danger to the public, though. There have been several horrible rumors of Pete giving people who are passed out more drugs...
Who is not a fan of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go???? It makes me so happy when I hear it. It puts the boom-boom into my heart.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are doing it to try and really help GM. And they don't care about PD. That's my theory and I'm stickin' to it. :)
MCH,
ReplyDeleteI love GM and Wham! He is so underrated, IMO.
I don't know why he's throwing it all away.
On the last CDAN GM item, a poster commented that he/she had a suspicion that GM was HIV-positive and just doesn't give an eff anymore about anything. I find that theory very interesting, but I hope it's not true.
It is sad to see someone so talented throw away his life to drugs. I wish GM could see all the postive things he has accomplished. Oh well. Maybe jailtime will help him sort his shit out.
@Susan - Totally agree w/ all you said. I really hope that HIV thing is not true either. I really heart him so much.
ReplyDeletemontana ftw!
ReplyDeleteYes, Montana, you are funny today.
ReplyDelete@Susan: I think your first post was accurate. You can get as trashed as you want to, but there has to be a line drawn when you get behind the wheel of a car.
ReplyDeleteGeorge has lead a somewhat reckless lifestyle; with this talk of HIV, I wonder if this really was an "accident?"
I have to agree with the posts that point out that George Michael's behavior is more dangerous to others than that Docherty person (although Docherty's music is a menace to us all). George Michael's driving habits are weird, and he seems to get high, crave sex, then goes out cruising with immense amounts of cannabis and GHB and cocaine and whatever else he can get his hands on. He needs to go to a freakin' bathhouse, if he wants to get high and have sleazy sex.
ReplyDeleteActually, Doherty's been sentenced with and served time in two separate prison terms, each of them a lot longer than Michael's 8 weeks.
