Timbaland Is Alive

I don't really keep track of what Timbaland has been doing or not doing. When his name pops up, I just always say, "oh yeah, the guy with the shoe name." Well, apparently people do care about him and if he does not answer their call they think he is out trying to kill himself.

Yesterday Timbaland found out one of his closest friends stole something of big, big value. It was not a $2M watch as was earlier reported and he would not say what it was exactly, but the guy took a drive to think about how to deal with it.

Sounds like a plan. However, his family got concerned and called the police who searched high and low for him. No one heard a peep until he called Ryan Seacrest.

He is fine. My question is how unstable must a guy be that his family is calling police after he has just been missing for a short while. This must have been something really important and a very good friend.

  1. Arg, I really hate Ryan Seacrest. I dont like that celebs call him like he is all that important to be kept in the know.
Just go perm your hair and die already with your dumb old last name.

  2. Clearly that's not a good friend if they're going to pull a stunt like that. Sounds more like a close friend who's actually pretty shitty.

it hurts when you find out that someone close to you is not who they seem. seacrest has lots of contacts in the biz. the guy works the grind. can't blame him.

  5. @jax LOL! Not sure either of them knew where sexy was to begin with?

Hope dude is okay. He's got a really young daughter.

  6. See, I like Seacrest. Dude works his ass off for his success and I find that refreshing.

I also like Timbaland. He's always seemed like a normal guy to me, not like Piddly Squiddly or other super flashy guys. I think his family just blew it out of proportion. He probably did seem distressed when he left and not being able to get ahold of him made them overreact.

  8. I hate Seacrest because he's a misogynist and then has the nerve to hire beards. That makes him doubly loathsome.

  9. You know, whatever it was, someone in the family must have thought this was the kind of heavy betrayal that he might kill himself over, so I doubt it's a material thing. (Like an album, or something he created, I can't see anything other than his kid meaning that much to him.) Glad he is okay. For all I think so many in the music industry are nutty, I like Timbaland. (Even though the only song of his I've bought in iTunes is the instrumental of Scream-what?) His cool persona doesn't feel like a put on.
    LOL@ Jax!

  11. Did the guy steal his wife's heart? Seriously, what material thing could make a guy suicidal? It has to be something more personal than material.

  12. Read the fuller article on this and it was kind of sad - he basically said people steal from him all the time, but this one was particularly upsetting because he knows who stole it, and it was someone he trusted.

Regardless, the interesting bit is that his family would freak out the way he did - without some sort of history - who would ever think such a thing??

  13. I worked with Ryan Seacrest back when he was working in San Francisco. He is actually a really nice guy.

Don't understand this major concern about what Timberland would do. Is he that scary?
