Stephen Belafonte Loses His Money Train
Most of the time when you hear things about people breaking up it comes from friends or co-workers of the couple. I'm not sure if Stephen Belafonte works. Oh, I know he pretends to, but I think his main job was keeping Mel B happy so she would keep her checkbook open for him. Anyway, that is how the learning usually works. In this case though, Stephen called up a friend of his at The Mirror and told the newspaper directly. I don't know if he did it to try and get the first shots in or to make himself look good, but for some reason he did it.
"Dude, it’s over. Mel’s coming back to the UK soon – but I won’t be coming with her.” I bet British journalists are rarely called dude. Stephen did not say much about why they were splitting up except, “There’s been problems lately. I don’t know what’s happening.” I find it hard to believe that you don't know anything about what has happened or why. I just don't buy it which makes me think this was all designed to make him look like he is the victim. I wonder how much money he is going to try and take her for. If it is a lot, I wonder if there will be another Spice Girl tour.
Uhm maybe she FINALLY figured out he is NOT a REAL Belafonte as in Harry's son?? lol
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who either of them are, but loved the dude comment.
ReplyDeleteWow, this must be a record! Having a reality show is a curse on relationships, but this is the first time the breakup happened before the show even aired.
ReplyDeletelol,it's funny that you think people working at The Mirror are actually journalists. and this famewhore probably has them on speed dial and on a first Dude basis by now.
ReplyDeleteDude...
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the couple that used to proclaim how often they'd have sex?
Mmmhmm.....
@MCH - yep. They were the British Pinkett-Smiths! Rumours galore of threesomes with other women, too.
ReplyDeleteI guess Eddie Murphy is not going to be supporting him anymore.
ReplyDeleteWell, he'll support his daughter. Maybe her money is in a trust and Belafonte wanted Mel to dip into it for his pocket money.
